This recently remodeled Ocean View Studio is beautifully decorated. The many personal touches will make you feel at home in this unit and you will Love spending time relaxing on the lanai. You will enjoy gazing at the Pacific ocean in the morning and quite possibly all day.

Located on the 3rd floor, this unit also has wonderful courtyard and pool views. The kitchen has granite counter tops, new stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. The kitchen is fully equipped. Washer/dryer is located just down the hall, as are the elevators. The television in this unit is a 32' LCD/HD and along with a DVD player. New carpeting. Also, there are many books, board games and a bocce ball set (to be played on beach only).

Beach towels are available for your use at the pool area. Previous guests have commented that our unit has the Best decor at the Whaler.

Please note that for bookings of a minimum of 7 nights a mid-stay cleaning is included at no additional charge.

Hi Ethel. Our vacation was amazing. Your place was very comfortable and everything the pictures showed. It seems some upgrades you have made are not on the current pictures on the site. It worked perfectly for us. We saw turtles every time we Snorkled. Visited Napili bay, honolua bay, went parasailing lyric took surf lessons and we ate at leilanis and the hula grill. Also at a little taco cart with amazing Ono tacos. We left Thursday before the storms came. The iao valley was beautiful. I did not have a chance to write in the guest book but intended on sending you a note. Lyric also loved feeding the fish Every morning. We used the pool at the Sheraton and ate at their poolside grill. We also were alerted that a 15 foot tiger shark was spotted by divers when we were at black rock. All in all great trip!!

Unit 313 Whaler

Over the last six years we have stayed at 8 different rooms in the Whaler, through both vrbo rentals as well as dealing directly with the Aston Hotel for room bookings.

I have finally found our keeper with Ethel's unit.

My quest has always been to find a unit with all day sun on the lanai, reasonable level to be able to use the stairs instead of the elevators, and offer a few at home amenities in it, whether it was beach gear or even spices already found in the kitchen that I didn't have to purchase for a two week stay.

Ethel's unit met and exceeded my expectations and there is no need for me to look any further for any other unit on our yearly trek to Maui!

I will also add that Ethel is a pleasure to work with. Very prompt and professional with the booking, which I truly appreciate!

Great Place

Love the Whaler, love the location.

Always enjoy staying in Ethel's place, well equipped clean condo, great view sitting on the Lanai Really like the fact of being on the 3rd floor makes it easy to use the stairs to get to the pool if you choose. Ethel always does a great job getting back to you promptly and answering any questions you have. Look forward to staying here again.

Wonderfully Accommodating and Relaxing in a Great Location

Darling wife and I spent 2 weeks in Maui - 10 days here in Ethel’s Whaler Unit #313, and a few days at the Westin Resort. Whalers Village is the hub of Ka’anapali for shopping, dining, and entertainment, and both the Whaler (which is next door to the village on the north) and the Westin (which is next door to the village on the south) were perfect locations. I’m talking next door > a one or two-minute walk. However, the Westin is a huge complex with huge crowds. We both MUCH preferred staying at the Whaler complex, especially in Ethel’s condo because it was so close and easy to go from her fantastic view balcony to the pool or beach in 30 seconds. Run out of cocktail? No problem, up to the room and her icemaker and blender could whip ‘em up and poured into her plastic tumblers and back to the pool faster than any rendition of ‘Tiny Bubbles’. The unit has a full kitchen and beautiful Hawaiian-themed china/table settings, silverware, cookware, utensils, etc. The bed was comfy - we slept well with the huge patio doors open all night listening to the beach waves as white noise (we already miss that). We shopped Foodland Farms in Lahaina (5-10 minute drive - there’s also a Safeway, Walgreens, etc) and cooked steaks and veggie dinners at the BBQ next to the pool and a few breakfasts in the unit. The whole Ka’anapali beach boardwalk is fabulous to walk, and the Whaler is right in the middle of it, yet quiet. The Whaler has full concierge and hotel services too which we used for making Luau, dinner reservations, etc. Ethel was a delight to work with and has a wealth of knowledge. No drama or surprises whatsoever - easy, prompt and efficient. When we come back to Maui, we’ll forgo any Westin or Sheraton, and stay entirely here in #313. Mahalo nui loa!

Best Value in Whalers

I visit Maui several times a year for business and usually rent from HomeAway. This was the best priced unit at Whalers and it was great. When we waked in it was actually nicer than I was expecting.

The third floor was perfect enough for a view yet we were able to walk up and down the stairs to the beach. I highly recommend this condo and if it's available on my next visit I will book it again.
