About Paul Stoltzfus

Hi there, we are a family of 6 who love to spend time together. We started coming to BBR when we were pregnant with our 4th child. We needed a place for an extended family gathering and BBR seemed like a great place for a multigenerational gathering. That was almost 17 years ago and BBR is still our favorite family spot. As our kids have grown, gone off to college and are starting homes of their own, they still look forward to the days we spend at our house together at BBR. We often bring extended family and friends.

Paul Stoltzfus purchased this house in 2005

Why Paul Stoltzfus chose Black Butte Ranch

Our first time to BBR we rented this house. Our kids felt so at home here and over the years we brought others to share it with us. When it was available for purchase we took that opportunity to make a long term investment, not only in the financial aspect but more importantly in the investment of family and friends. It has been a 'peaceful space' for our family and for many others that have shared it with us. Our hope is that as you enjoy our home with your family and friends you can have that since of peace as well!

What makes this house unique

BBR offers a perfect central location to many activities and sightseeing possibilities. Sisters is a wonderful little town to roam around in. It has many unique shops, amazing coffee and wonderful views of the surrounding mountains. There are many biking and hiking trails within 30 min. drive of BBR.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We enjoyed our stay at your cabin so much. Even the kids commented on how together the family was while there-so nice that we could all hang out in one open living area. Thank you again for sharing with us!

Good size. Nice location.

  • 4 of 5

Nice plates and plenty of cooking pans. Door on laundry needs to be fixed as it is a potential accident waiting to happen. Overhead fan did not work.

Great location...tons of games...could have been cleaner

  • 3 of 5

It's a lovely place, perfectly situated for enjoying the Glaze Meadow Recreation complex and bike paths. It would have received more stars but for the lack of cleanliness, especially in the bathrooms, and there was a big infestation of black flies. The overhead light and fan in the living room didn't work, no matter how many switches we tried, so the living room was very dark. All that said, we still had a great time! The kids loved the bunk beds, and there was everything we needed for cooking meals.

Nice wooded property

  • 4 of 5

Nice property. Enjoyed what little time we spent there as it was our base for the Sisters Rodeo. Bunk beds were not meant for teenagers. Small children all right.

Comfy house

  • 3 of 5

This is a great floor plan for 2 families. The well-stocked house had plenty of extras to make cooking easy and family meals around the big table plus relaxing in comfortable sofas. Located on a quiet street close to the Glaze Meadow Pool, there was plenty of opportunity for many diversions close to home. Not 5 stars due to old laundry doors that should be removed and kitchen pans that needed scrubbing before use.
