About the property

Lakefront Camp Surronded by Mountains and Views

Our guests love the 4 season rustic style of the camp, the views and the location. We are located directly on North Pond a few feet from the water’s edge; right where you belong.

Scenic family vacation camp with oil heat, fireplace and kitchen. Enjoy the panoramic views through the all glass wall. Walk down the backstairs and you're a few feet from the sandy beach. Step over to the spacious dock with Adirondack chairs to relax in. Read, sip beverages or simply do nothing from the dock and yard. There's an outdoor fire pit too. Anglers land perch, large and smallmouth bass. Hiking is abundant. It’s an outdoor haven!

Outside, the back yard has plenty of space to play and cookout. The dock is a nice size with Adirondack chairs. Our sandy beach is perfect for everyone, especially younger children. It’s shallow and sandy all around the dock. Kids and dogs play here all day.

Inside, the camp has welcoming views of the pond and mountains. The main floor features a full kitchen with an island and chairs plus a nice sitting area central to the place. The living room has a fire place.

Upstairs has 1 large community type bedroom including 1 queen plus 3 twin beds that will sleep 5. In the basement, which is unfinished, are 2 bunk beds that sleep 4. There's also a futon and couch. It's perfect for kids to have their own space.

We do have the internet with Wi-Fi. We do not have cable TV. But the TV does have an HDMI connection. So our guests can stream videos from their device to the TV. There's also a DVD and VCR player with plenty of videos. Plus there's a host of classic board games like Scrabble and Yahtzee. Enjoy!

Sunday River Ski Resort, in the town of Bethel, is 15 minutes away. Mt Abram is 5 minutes away.

Perfect Maine camp!

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic time upta camp! Kenny was very accommodating, camp was perfect. Beautiful views, we took the canoe and kayaks out everyday, got to see 2 baby bald eagles and their nest, it was awesome. Would highly recommend this spot, and hope to go back soon.

Quaint cabin, remarkable lake.

  • 3 of 5

Stayed July 2017, 6 Adults. Beautiful views for sure! Lake is amazing, clean. Saw eagles flying. Cabin itself nothing fancy, needed some TLC as far as cleaning goes. Charges fee for cleaner, but we cleaned this cabin better than when we arrived. Dusty, blanket on sofa dingy, dirty. Mildew odor in the rooms below cabin. Could use some updated cooking utensils. I did love the painted rocks and colored stones everywhere. Neighbors TWO dogs off their leash on this property, so ended up cleaning up after neighbors dog, not to mention a dog fight with neighbors dog and my dog that led to a vet visit. Worst part is having to bring garbage to dump!!!!! Dumps only open 3 days a week, so guess you bring the garbage home or pay $30 fee! Rented a few houses before and never had to do this! Overall did get to relax, comfortable.

Wonderful location, happy family camp, great for people with dogs!

  • 5 of 5

We visited for a three night/two day stay so we could ski at Sunday River (20 minutes away). Mt. Abrams is even closer but we did not ski there. We were a family with a dog, and the place was perfect and welcoming, even with the four feet of snow outside! It was all shoveled and easy to get in. The kitchen was well-supplied with pots and pans and everything we could need, and the house was obviously well-loved with art and history of those who have spent many a summer there.

The lake was frozen and our kids went out to explore the islands. We watched two movies in the DVD and it was really great. The heat worked fine for the main floor and the upstairs but the downstairs was very cold even with the heat up. Our kids had wanted to sleep down there in the fun bunk beds but it was simply too cold.

Place was clean and comfortable. My only complaints (and they are tiny and not worth changing from a five star) is that linens and towels are not included in the rental. Our car was pretty stuffed full with ski gear and dog, and to take the extra towels and sheets was not great. I would suggest heading down to the local Walmart, buying a bunch of cheap towels and sheets and including that in the rental. Or upcharging $5 for linens and towels. I would have paid it! There were also not a lot of blankets so if you ran cold, it was a little iffy. To me, it seems like it's a summer place that is great for winter IF you bring your own warmies. Yeah, okay, I do run cold.

I hope to see this place one day in the summer--I would love to come back. Thanks so much!
