I came to Tahoe when I was in high school & skied Squaw Valley. I fell in love with the area and have been coming to Tahoe ever since.
Located in upper Kings Beach. Hiking trail kitty-corner from place (snow shoeing or cross-country skiing). Home is very clean and eight blocks from lake. AWD recommended during snowstorms.
Close to everything. Starter kit provided: paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, dishwashing & laundry detergent.
I rented this house based on the reviews I read and they were all true. Our family of 5 adults was very comfortable here. The house had just about everything we needed and we had plenty of room. The house is clean and beds are very comfortable. The location was great and there is plenty to do within a short driving range. I loved Lake Tahoe and I can't wait to go back! I will definitely stay in this house next time if it is available. The owner is super easy to deal with and always responds in a timely fashion. Loved it!!!
We had 7 people and 1 baby and we all fit comfortably in this home, the driveway is wide enough for three vehicles. The home is clean and there is plenty of space to hang out. We came for the fourth of July Fireworks which were awesome! We saw them at incline village. The Home is located close to downtown Kings Beach and also the national forest trail that is walking distance from the home, you can take your off road vehicles up to see beautiful views of Lake Tahoe. Quiet neighborhood and neighbors.
Our family had a great time playing in the snow in the backyard, the front yard, and on the hill across the street. The home is very clean with lots of space to spread out and enjoy yourself. It's also an easy walk to the lake and downtown Kings Beach, though be prepared to walk uphill on the way back.
We had a wonderful four nights in this very comfortable home. Attention has gone into
every detail of the house. Spotless when we arrived and had a very warm appeal.
The kids absolutely loved the downstairs 'den', kind of a second family room. A third bedroom
downstairs is hidden surprise, although we did not need it. The two bedrooms upstairs were
sufficient. Kitchen has everything you need. Owner is particularly responsive and attentive,
and anyone who is a renter knows that this is a very nice perk that makes the whole rental process
streamlined. Kings Beach has everything you need, but quaint at the same time. Coffee shops,
bakeries, cafe's. And 20-25 minutes to a number of ski areas. We will be back for sure!
We just completed our second stay at The Mountain Chalet over the long 4th of July weekend and once again had terrific all-around experience. The property is clean, perfectly located for trips into Incline Village and Tahoe City/Sunnyside and, for our active group, an easy walk to downtown Kings Beach and its beautiful beaches. We enjoyed planning our day's activities on the back balcony and recapping our excursions in the very comfortable and spacious great/family room.
We look forward to returning again in the future!
We really enjoyed our stay at the Chalet! The house is really comfortable and super clean. We appreciated all the details - HOT, hot tub, well stocked kitchen, extra blankets, clear directions, menus and the cutest ski themed decor. Great family room! The location is great too - near to everything while being right next to a trail head with amazing hiking. We will be back!
