I came to Tahoe when I was in high school & skied Squaw Valley. I fell in love with the area and have been coming to Tahoe ever since.
Located in upper Kings Beach. Hiking trail kitty-corner from place (snow shoeing or cross-country skiing). Home is very clean and eight blocks from lake. AWD recommended during snowstorms.
Close to everything. Starter kit provided: paper towels, toilet paper, dish soap, dishwashing & laundry detergent.
Very easy. We had a little trouble getting in and Pauline was very responsive and helpful over the phone. Hot tub was nice, bedrooms well furnished. Only suggestion is as another review mentioned, in the dead of winter the downstairs bedroom was very cold and the radiator wasn't quite strong enough to keep the room warm.
Everything in the home was as described. Great communication with the owner. Location is great being a few minutes drive to the lake. With all the snow during our stay sledding was a few minutes walk up a trail head. Homewood is about a 25 minute drive. One suggestion to the owner would be to get a much larger heater for the bedroom downstairs. Will stay again!
We rented this wonderful home for 6 nights over New Years. It's centrally located blocks from the lake and minutes away from some our favorite places on the lake. We spent most of the time watching the snow fall from inside of this comfortable mountain retreat. We experienced many feet of snow during our stay and we loved it! The house is two stories with living and sleeping space on both levels. It worked well for our family, the kids downstairs and grandparents upstairs. Just the right amount of private and common spaces. With so much snow, we reached out to the owner several times and she was very responsive, she even had a commercial snowblower come clear the driveway! We look forward to staying this summer when we can walk to our favorite places!!
I rented this house based on the reviews I read and they were all true. Our family of 5 adults was very comfortable here. The house had just about everything we needed and we had plenty of room. The house is clean and beds are very comfortable. The location was great and there is plenty to do within a short driving range. I loved Lake Tahoe and I can't wait to go back! I will definitely stay in this house next time if it is available. The owner is super easy to deal with and always responds in a timely fashion. Loved it!!!
We had 7 people and 1 baby and we all fit comfortably in this home, the driveway is wide enough for three vehicles. The home is clean and there is plenty of space to hang out. We came for the fourth of July Fireworks which were awesome! We saw them at incline village. The Home is located close to downtown Kings Beach and also the national forest trail that is walking distance from the home, you can take your off road vehicles up to see beautiful views of Lake Tahoe. Quiet neighborhood and neighbors.
Our family had a great time playing in the snow in the backyard, the front yard, and on the hill across the street. The home is very clean with lots of space to spread out and enjoy yourself. It's also an easy walk to the lake and downtown Kings Beach, though be prepared to walk uphill on the way back.
