The house is a renovated 19th century (1886) built in dry stone. It was built by the Society of Provence Railways for crossing guard, hence the name, The Crossing Guard Maisonette. The asphalt road in front of the house is the old railway line between Nice and Meyrargues, hence the name East Pignes Path Train and is today a link between Lorgues, the Hamlet Sauve Clare and Flayosc. He did not pass 10 cars a day.
The house is located 3 km from the charming town Lorgues.
In Lorgues (7500 inhabitants) you will find an outdoor pool, tennis courts, a riding school, lots of terraces, shops, restaurants, a hotel, two supermarkets, every Tuesday a large market, vineyards, olive groves, lavender fields ...
