One of the most characteristic neighborhoods of central Rome in a high quality, well furnished and maintained apartment.

The famous Piazza Navona area is one of the most sought after in historic Rome. The sites are at your doorstep and the area abounds with wonderful restaurants, winding cobblestone streets, cafes, and handy public transportation.

"We were right around the corner from Piazza Navona, a mile away from the Vatican and a little over a mile to the Colosseum. We walked everywhere! Plenty of restaurants and gelato shops right outside the door. The grocery store is very close and so is Campo de' Fiore."

Most famous sights in Rome are within easy walking distance. The glorious Piazza Navona is half a minute walk away. Just below is the famous Pasquino statue where, for centuries, Romans have posted political lampoons. This is just one of the 'Talking Statues of Rome' which history is an interesting digression.

The building dates from the 1800s and has an elevator. The Pasquino apartment is on the top floor for maximum light.

This central Roman apartment is laid out wonderfully for use by travelers. The 'day' rooms and 'night' rooms are well separated so variations in guest schedules don't disturb others.

"The Pasquino apartment was exactly as pictured. Clean, roomy, and conveniently located."

The apartment itself sleeps up to six people with a master bedroom with queen size bed, second bedroom with 3 twin beds and a queen sized sofa bed in the living room.

One enters the apartment into a hallway lined with historic prints. On the right is the large eat-in kitchen and the next door leads to a spacious and light-filled living room. The dining table seats six. A grouping of sofa and love seat are placed close to the window overlooking Piazza Pasquino. There flat screen TV in the living room receives a few English language news channels. There is Wifi. An independently controlled air conditioning system serves the living and dining room. The original coffered hand-painted ceilings high above are a special feature.

"The apartment was very spacious - especially for Europe - and very comfortable."

The master bedroom also overlooks Piazza Pasquino. It is tastefully done with golden hued fabric lined walls. The bed has a leather, padded headboard and a firm queen-sized mattress. French antique bedside tables have reading amps. A flat screen television is mounted facing the bed (Italian channels only). This room has its own separately controlled air conditioner mounted high on the wall. Closets for this bedroom are in an entry space that also opens onto the bathroom that has a tub with shower sprayer that can be hooked up high, sink, toilet and bidet.

The second bedroom is the former library and has a warm glow of wood. It can sleep three in 3 single beds. One twin bed is tucked between the cabinets and feels a bit like a ship captain's bunk. The other twin bed is a trundle bed with a second bed that pulls out from underneath. This room has its own separately controlled air conditioner mounted high on the wall. The bedroom overlooks Via dei Leutari. Ample closets in this room. The second bathroom has a fully enclosed shower, sink, toilet, bidet and washing machine. The bathrooms are older but clean and functional.

The kitchen is very large for a city apartment; it has three large windows that admit a lot of light and a table that can seat four. The kitchen is has a refrigerator, gas range, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, pots, pans, utensils and dishes.

Why Property manager/Owner chose Rome

Fascinating location in the heart of Rome, less then 1 minute walk to Piazza Navona.

What makes this apartment unique

This neighborhood couldn't be more interesting. Great food shopping in nearby Campo dei Fiori, historical sights are all around you from the Pantheon to Piazza Navona. There are many great restaurant choices & a little supermarket within 2 blocks.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Pasquino was a perfect apartment for my wife and 2 adult children for our week vacation in Rome. The location is ideal in that you can walk to almost any tourist site in Rome. The apartment is plenty spacious, clean, quiet and the kitchen is modern. It was very easy to make the reservation through Pat at Italy Perfect. Pat also referred us to Carolina [concierge service] who was very helpful as a guide and for making dinner reservations.

Great 3 week stay.

  • 4 of 5

As others have said, the location of this apartment is great. You can walk to most everything you want to do and there is a cab stand a block away for everything else. It is spacious by central city standards. The heat and hot water were very reliable, the linens are of good quality and the kitchen is adequately equipped. The dishwasher and washer/dryer worked great and were much appreciated. The furniture is adequate but showing some age/usage. As a result, the couches in the living room weren’t particularly comfortable. We had a problem with the wifi when we first arrived but it was resolved after one call.

I must also say that Italy Perfect was PERFECT in helping us make plans for staying in Rome. They gave us a package of info re car drivers, tour operators, restaurants, and much, much more. We wanted to go to Pompeii on a day trip via the high speed train. Lisa gave me the name of a driver in Naples who was great and he hooked us up with a guide for Pompeii and then recommended a seafood restaurant in Naples that was great. All cheaper and more convenient than through tour companies.

One caution, the street noise at night can be annoying. On Friday and Saturday night, it was party time till 2 a.m. and even on Wed and Thurs, folks stay out late. We live in Manhattan so I am used to street noise but here, because the streets are so narrow, the noise from the restaurants below really resonate in the apartment. The windows ARE very well insulated so if you close the windows, it really cuts out most of the noise but on nice evenings, I would prefer to leave the windows open.

Perfect Location!

  • 5 of 5

The Pasquino apartment is centrally located, perfect for exploring Rome--just a couple short blocks from bustling Piazza Navona. The apartment was comfortable for a family of five and was exactly as described. The street was quiet, with restaurants, shops, grocery, bakery, transportation all close by and within easy walking distance. It was a perfect location for us.

We were greeted enthusiastically by Nancy, given restaurant recommendations and savvy advice for the holiday season in Rome.

We would definitely stay here again and certainly recommend it to friends and relatives!

Pasquino is a great place. It is in the heart of Rome just steps from Piazza Navona. The accommodations are spacious and well maintained. It is modern, bright and tastefully decorated. It overlooks the neighborhood restaurants and local church across the street. The street outside the window is lined with shops, eateries and grocery stores. If you are concerned about noise the windows are sound proof but open the windows and hear the sounds of people laughing and meeting with friends. IT is a neighborhood so the sounds diminish around 10 p

You are a 20 min walk to the Vatican Piazza Venezia, in which several thoroughfares intersect, including the Via dei Fori Imperiali and the Via del Corso. Campo di Fiori is about 2 blocks away and there are many shops in the neighborhood worth checking out.

If you want to be in the heart of Rome there is no better location. This is not my first stay with Italy Perfect and I have never been dissatisfied I am already planning my trip for next year. My experience with Italy Perfect has always been great, I have recommended Italy Perfect to my neighbor who plans on traveling to Rome next year.

Wonderful trip to Italy

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at the Pasquino apartment in Rome and would gladly stay there again. The apartment was perfect for our family of four and was the best location we could possibly hope to find-- so accessible to so many sites. Our greeter was very nice and helpful getting us oriented with the map and local sites and necessaries, like the grocery store a few blocks away. We also had contact with the owner during our stay due to a couple of unexpected situations and all was set right quickly and efficiently and so did not negatively impact any of our plans. We loved walking around locally and apartment Pasquino had easy access to other places a little further afield because of a nearby taxi stand.

We ate at many great restaurants in Rome--some small local places right by the apartment, and some further away that were still close enough to walk to. We enjoyed meals at a couple of the places the apartment overlooks with hearty food and little fanfare, and had memorable meals at the Hostaria Constanza and at Sapore di Mare to name two. --all so fresh, fresh, fresh and delicious.

Rome is such an extraordinary place with so much history and many sites literally around every corner. We used Context tours and had excellent and knowledgeable guides for private tours (for our family of four it was more economical to have a private tour than pay individually for their regular small group tour.) Since it was during the crowded tourist time, the tour allowed us to pass the long lines at Colosseum and Vatican and get on with the tour. We customized our tours and they did this with no problem. It was a good decision for us and we covered a lot of ground. The tours were half day and we still had plenty of time to wander and explore on our own too. It is fun to roam about the Piazza Navona and Campo di fiori on the weekend nights when everyone is out enjoying themselves and the buskers are busy performing and everyone eating gelato.

So, we recommend it all!!--Apartment Pasquino, Context Tours and the amazing city of Rome. We hope to return soon!

The apartment was large and comfortably accommodated our family of four.

  • 5 of 5

This apartment was a wonderful home base to explore Rome for five days. The apartment was large and comfortably accommodated our family of four. Situated near Piazza Navona in the historic center of Rome, we could walk everywhere to all the main sites. Il Fornaio (bakery), Frigidarium (gelato) and Baffetto (pizzeria), all very good and close by. The outdoor market at Campo de Fiori was fun to explore in the morning, before most tourists awoke. We would highly recommend Carolina of Your Rome Experience for a private tour of the Vatican Museum. An art historian, she focused on the main highlights of the Vatican collection and provided invaluable insight on the art. We would highly recommend this apartment and Italy Perfect. Pat and Lisa handled every detail, and were wonderful to work with!
