ROME ITALY PERFECT PASQUINO APARTMENT
One of the most characteristic neighborhoods of central Rome in a high quality, well furnished and maintained apartment.
The famous Piazza Navona area is one of the most sought after in historic Rome. The sites are at your doorstep and the area abounds with wonderful restaurants, winding cobblestone streets, cafes, and handy public transportation.
"We were right around the corner from Piazza Navona, a mile away from the Vatican and a little over a mile to the Colosseum. We walked everywhere! Plenty of restaurants and gelato shops right outside the door. The grocery store is very close and so is Campo de' Fiore."
Most famous sights in Rome are within easy walking distance. The glorious Piazza Navona is half a minute walk away. Just below is the famous Pasquino statue where, for centuries, Romans have posted political lampoons. This is just one of the 'Talking Statues of Rome' which history is an interesting digression.
The building dates from the 1800s and has an elevator. The Pasquino apartment is on the top floor for maximum light.
This central Roman apartment is laid out wonderfully for use by travelers. The 'day' rooms and 'night' rooms are well separated so variations in guest schedules don't disturb others.
"The Pasquino apartment was exactly as pictured. Clean, roomy, and conveniently located."
The apartment itself sleeps up to six people with a master bedroom with queen size bed, second bedroom with 3 twin beds and a queen sized sofa bed in the living room.
One enters the apartment into a hallway lined with historic prints. On the right is the large eat-in kitchen and the next door leads to a spacious and light-filled living room. The dining table seats six. A grouping of sofa and love seat are placed close to the window overlooking Piazza Pasquino. There flat screen TV in the living room receives a few English language news channels. There is Wifi. An independently controlled air conditioning system serves the living and dining room. The original coffered hand-painted ceilings high above are a special feature.
"The apartment was very spacious - especially for Europe - and very comfortable."
The master bedroom also overlooks Piazza Pasquino. It is tastefully done with golden hued fabric lined walls. The bed has a leather, padded headboard and a firm queen-sized mattress. French antique bedside tables have reading amps. A flat screen television is mounted facing the bed (Italian channels only). This room has its own separately controlled air conditioner mounted high on the wall. Closets for this bedroom are in an entry space that also opens onto the bathroom that has a tub with shower sprayer that can be hooked up high, sink, toilet and bidet.
The second bedroom is the former library and has a warm glow of wood. It can sleep three in 3 single beds. One twin bed is tucked between the cabinets and feels a bit like a ship captain's bunk. The other twin bed is a trundle bed with a second bed that pulls out from underneath. This room has its own separately controlled air conditioner mounted high on the wall. The bedroom overlooks Via dei Leutari. Ample closets in this room. The second bathroom has a fully enclosed shower, sink, toilet, bidet and washing machine. The bathrooms are older but clean and functional.
The kitchen is very large for a city apartment; it has three large windows that admit a lot of light and a table that can seat four. The kitchen is has a refrigerator, gas range, oven, dishwasher, microwave, coffee maker, pots, pans, utensils and dishes.
We have done our very best to fit our pricing into the 'Book It' and ‘Detailed Price’ rate system provided by this advertisement, but the results aren’t precise. Fascinating location in the heart of Rome, less then 1 minute walk to Piazza Navona.
This neighborhood couldn't be more interesting. Great food shopping in nearby Campo dei Fiori, historical sights are all around you from the Pantheon to Piazza Navona. There are many great restaurant choices & a little supermarket within 2 blocks.
Pasquino was a perfect apartment for my wife and 2 adult children for our week vacation in Rome. The location is ideal in that you can walk to almost any tourist site in Rome. The apartment is plenty spacious, clean, quiet and the kitchen is modern. It was very easy to make the reservation through Pat at Italy Perfect. Pat also referred us to Carolina [concierge service] who was very helpful as a guide and for making dinner reservations.
We had a lovely time staying in the Pasquino Apartment as a family of four. The apartment is spacious and well appointed, and despite being steps from Piazza Navona and overlooking the busy Piazza Pasquino, is remarkably quiet - a lovely place to rest and stay after busy days sightseeing. The two separate bedrooms, each with its own full bathroom, and the washer/dryer were major pluses, as was the large living/dining room (pictured). We would be delighted to stay here again.
Great location and a nice apartment. Plenty of room for our party of 2 adults and 3 kids, and walking distance to pretty much everything you want to see and do in central Rome. Spent a week here and would recommend it to anyone.
This was our first visit to Rome and I based my selection on location. I was right! Located just steps away from sweet little restaurants, shops, gelato and Piazza Navona ... plus much more! This allowed us to stop in several times during the day and put our feet up / charge our phones etc.
The apartment was clean and modern for todays standards in such a historic building. The kitchen had all the conveniences necessary, the beds were comfortable and two bathrooms were great to have. The little library is darling with curved walnut wood and clever storage.
As others have said, the location of this apartment is great. You can walk to most everything you want to do and there is a cab stand a block away for everything else. It is spacious by central city standards. The heat and hot water were very reliable, the linens are of good quality and the kitchen is adequately equipped. The dishwasher and washer/dryer worked great and were much appreciated. The furniture is adequate but showing some age/usage. As a result, the couches in the living room weren’t particularly comfortable. We had a problem with the wifi when we first arrived but it was resolved after one call.
I must also say that Italy Perfect was PERFECT in helping us make plans for staying in Rome. They gave us a package of info re car drivers, tour operators, restaurants, and much, much more. We wanted to go to Pompeii on a day trip via the high speed train. Lisa gave me the name of a driver in Naples who was great and he hooked us up with a guide for Pompeii and then recommended a seafood restaurant in Naples that was great. All cheaper and more convenient than through tour companies.
One caution, the street noise at night can be annoying. On Friday and Saturday night, it was party time till 2 a.m. and even on Wed and Thurs, folks stay out late. We live in Manhattan so I am used to street noise but here, because the streets are so narrow, the noise from the restaurants below really resonate in the apartment. The windows ARE very well insulated so if you close the windows, it really cuts out most of the noise but on nice evenings, I would prefer to leave the windows open.
The Pasquino apartment is centrally located, perfect for exploring Rome--just a couple short blocks from bustling Piazza Navona. The apartment was comfortable for a family of five and was exactly as described. The street was quiet, with restaurants, shops, grocery, bakery, transportation all close by and within easy walking distance. It was a perfect location for us.
We were greeted enthusiastically by Nancy, given restaurant recommendations and savvy advice for the holiday season in Rome.
We would definitely stay here again and certainly recommend it to friends and relatives!
The flat was absolutely excellent. It was centrally located, clean and very comfortable.
Perhaps some nicer soap and shampoo.........
but would recommend wholeheartedly without any reservations!!
