Cute and cozy!
This apartment was the perfect place to stay when exploring the “quiet” side of Acadia. The place was very clean and provided easy access to the Schoodic Peninsula. There were restaurants nearby and a small grocery store to get picnic supplies. We had a great stay!
would definitely stay again
We loved our stay and found the apartment to be exactly as described. One tip for future guests, bring your own eye mask for sleeping. The smaller bedroom has a street light right outside the window.
We enjoyed our stay at this property while in Winter Harbor to visit our friends in a nearby area. Our property was beautiful, clean and exactly what was advertised. We were in town across from the IGA, close proximity to Chase's restaurant and other restaurants. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and looking at the Harbor. Nearby is also Schoodic Point which we enjoyed almost every day. Will stay here again in the future! Thank you for a wonderful stay.
Clean, comfortable and convenient
Stayed for 4 days and it was great.
The appartment was very clean and felt as if everything was new. Couldn't get much better for the price we paid.
The town was sweet. We specially enjoyed taking the ferry to Bar Harbor and hiking in the early and late hours in the Schoodic Woods of Acadia.
I didn’t realize that the walk on ferry from Winter Harbor to Bar Harbor cost nearly $90 round trip for a family of four. I’d planned for us to take that to Bar Harbor each day, thinking my kids would enjoy the boat ride, but we ended up making the hour drive every day instead.
Winter Harbor is, however, very close to Schoodic Point, which is hands-down the prettiest view in the whole of Acadia National Park. We did enjoy being close to that.
The apartment itself was really nice. Everything was very clean and new. The WiFi was pretty spotty, but we didn’t really need it much so it wasn’t that big of a deal.
The shower also leaked pretty badly.
Other than those things, though, it was a really nice place to stay. Would definitely recommend if you’re planning to spend a lot of time at Schoodic. Otherwise, it might be wise to look for a place closer to Acadia, or else plan to spend a lot of money on the ferry.
