The apartment is on the 4th floor of a centenary building that over the years has been renovated with all modern amenities, while keeping the original style.
The views are breathtaking; from here you can see the rooftops of the historic center, the Douro River and its boats, far away, is the smooth hillside of Vila Nova de Gaia city, and closer, the gorgeous Vitoria church. The sun enters the apartment filling it with light, illuminating its spacious 100m2 with 3 bedrooms.
The apartment is prepared to receive up to 6 guests, even 7, and has all the amenities: stove, washing machine, microwave, coffee maker and kettle.
This apartment is located in the old Jewish quarter called Olival. Here you will meet the locals, the most picturesque people in town; they are very welcoming and joyous and fill the streets with their typical language and sincere generosity.
Wander through the narrow streets and the steep stairways; have lunch in the restaurant “Caraças” (inexpensive and very typical) and visit the renovated cafés and local shops. If you like walking, go down the narrow streets which will lead you to the riverfront. Here you can hire a bike and cycle down to the seafront, where you will find wonderful beaches and restaurant terraces for all tastes.
The apartment’s neighborhood is safe and quite. Everything is close by: 5 minute walk to the main bus stops, 10 minutes to the underground station and very near one can join the city’s vibrant nightlife, where music overflows the buildings and the streets fill with people.
But Porto is much more than an historic Center; here you can find modern museums, amazing beaches and surf all year round. In a study by the World Economic Forum (The Travel & Tourism Competitiveness Report 2013), Portugal is scored in the 7th world position of the countries that best receive tourists – I definitely confirm!!
