My family camps at the Fisherman's Bend Campground every year for our family reunions. My son is dual diagnosed with Down syndrome and Autism and it is just too difficult to camp with him so we decided to find a close place to rent where we could just drive back and forth, and oh boy did we find a gem! Not only is this place absolutely adorable, but the little extras she has (hammocks, s'mores, relaxing bath salts, cherry tomatoes-apples-Asian pears you get to pluck right from the vine, and big plush towels) makes your stay worth every penny. It is very apparent from the moment you walk in that no expense was spared when designing and decorating this amazing little small house (which will for sure sleep 6 just fine). The size, comfort, and exquisite design of the deck will leave you feeling very fancy and free. You will definitely want to show it off! It was pretty hot outside when we stayed there (85-90 degrees) and the A.C. worked fantastically! I would say my favorite things were the spa like bathroom, and the deck.
Now about the accommodating part: The porch lights come on at night and off during the day automatically and there isn't a way to manually turn them off. The lights glow through the double doors, which is not that bothersome for us typical people. But my son could not lay down and relax because he was just so fixated on those lights and it's a new place (that's the autism). When I texted the owner about the lights the next morning asking if there was a way to turn them off, she did everything she could to remedy the situation. And I mean EVERYTHING. We decided on the night time lavender bath salts (which she dropped off on the porch for us while we were away) and black out curtains that she had in a cupboard and it worked like a charm! I am very grateful for her understanding with our special little guy and his special little quirks.
We will absolutely be staying again next year for my family reunion!
Great small house!
Everything was exactly as described. Plenty of room for 5 or 6.
Rafting on the Santiam
Great place to stay for takeout at Mill City Bridge for rafting. Tiny but functional. Outside space was much appreciated!
Great place for a group BBQ outside! Very quaint cedar cabin, cozy inside.
The owner is very pleasant, responsive, and accommodating. The amenities suited our needs for an overnight stay. The beds were comfortable. The loft is tight but also comfortable. There is a fan and window to help when it gets warm up there. It was a very pleasant stay here. A trip to Giovanni’s Pizza is a must!
The tiny house was great. There were only 2 of us but could easily sleep 6. Everything you could need. Spring was a great host. She set up a things to do list in the area and was available for any questions we had. If I get that way again I’ll spend more time
Exactly as described
This house is absolutely adorable. Four of us were looking for a place to stay the night because we hiked at Silver Falls state park. The owner was super accommodating and the place is very well kept. This is a place I would definitely rent again and for longer.
