Lovely property, in a beautiful location. Good facilities close by.
This is a truly lovely property, with great views and a peaceful location despite being close to main roads which give good access to major tourist towns. The property has everything you could want, including a good size pool and games for the kids.
Tania and Roberta are perfect hosts, friendly and professional. Nothing is too much trouble for them and they made sure we were made welcome despite the fact that their new daughter was born the week we were there. Can't wait to return again!!
Amazing holiday and hosts in Massarossa!
We recently stayed at Tania and Roberto's home in Massarossa for a week. The home itself is in an amazingly beautiful setting. You can also tell that the owners take great care with every detail of the home. I loved all the old features in the house - the exterior doors, the shutters, the stonework, etc. The beds were very comfortable and it was immaculately clean!
Upon arrival, Tania walked us through how everything in the home works as well as giving us a very detailed map of the area, restaurants, beaches, and other recommendations. She also had a lovely dinner waiting for us, which we were grateful for after a long day of travel. During the week, Tania was very responsive to any questions or needs we had. She and Roberto also prepared another wonderful dinner for our family mid-week.
My children (ages 8, 10, and 13) just loved the house and garden, as well as the pool, ping pong table, and foosball table.
Aside from how wonderful the property is, what made this holiday so special was making a connection with our hosts! I would highly recommend staying at this holiday home and hope we will return someday. Thank you Tania and Roberto for a wonderful week!
Another amazing holiday
This was me and my girlfriends second holiday here after staying here last year. We had an amazing holiday last year, and it was even better this time round. Tania and Roberto make the villa such an amazing place to stay. It is very modern with everything you could need. The decor and set out of the house is brilliant and makes you feel very comfortable. The terrace, garden and pool are really well kept and are a great bonus. Being set in the olives groves on top of a hill looking over Tuscany, makes this a little piece of paradise. We will be back. Thank you Tania and Roberto
We have stayed in many holiday homes across Europe and this one is without doubt the nicest.
The house itself is beautiful. Renovated to an extremely high standard, clean, well equipped. The kitchen has plenty of space to cook properly and to store food. The living area is large and pleasantly decorated, and the entrance area has lots of space. The bedrooms and bathrooms are a very good size and are decorated with a keen eye for detail and beauty.
The garden is lovely, a nice pool, a bbq which is equipped everything you need, a pleasant seating area covered overhead with a lemon tree, grape vines and a kiwi tree. There are sun loungers, a table and even sun hats available on the lawn, underneath a large sunshade.
The view from the garden is wonderful. You can see all the way to Corsica on a clear day, and you can catch a glimpse of the leaning tower of Pisa in the distance to the south. There are also other nice views of the olive groves in which the property is set.
There is a large and good quality supermarket just a few minutes drive away and in the town of Massarosa there is a bakery, ice cream place, a pharmacy and a few other shops. A short drive away there is a restaurant (in Bozzano with belongs to Massarosa) called Adriana which was recommended by our hosts and which was very good (it opens for dinner at 7:30).
The owners of the property, Tania and Roberto, live on the third floor of the property and are absolutely lovely. Tania is very welcoming and takes a lot of trouble to make sure you have everything you need. She is very knowledgable about the local area - places to visit, places to shop, places to eat, where the good beaches are - and she even provided us with (a very substantial!) supper upon arrival, including a bottle of wine, and during the week surprised us with homemade Tiramisu and Pizza. She really did a lot more for us than we could ever expect and this made our week perfect.
The house is well located for short drives to Pisa, Lucca, the beach, Viareggio and various other attractions. We didn't make it as far as Florence but that would be ok too.
We are a family with two children, aged 6 and 3. The house was suitable for those ages and it would be suitable for younger children too.
We would recommend this place to anyone who will listen, and are already planning to come back (as I write this, we haven't even left yet!)
Thank you, Tania and Roberto!
What a place! This villa is fantastic! My boyfriend and I came here for a weeks holiday in September. Tania and Roberto (The owners) are the most welcoming hosts. Upon arrival after a long drive from France we were greeted by the very friendly Tania and shown around. She took the time to explain the area to us and where the best places for us to visit and eat were, and she was never wrong, which was brilliant as we had never visited the area before. There was also a buffet dinner ready for us along with a couple of cold beers and a bottle of wine! This kind of hospitality just goes above and beyond any other self catering holiday. We could not have asked for more, the villa was wonderfully clean, well equipped with beautiful gardens, sea views, a clean pool, surrounded by olive groves and a luxury to stay in for the week. Thank you very much for making our holiday brilliant! We will be back! Jess and Will xxx

The house is on the hills of the municipality of Massarosa. The area is quiet and relaxing. The immediate surroundings offer several places of interest to visit. A few minutes away is Camaiore, remembered for its historic center and the Romanesque church. Viareggio, a seaside resort, has become famous for its carnival and the floats of "papier mache". Torre del Lago Puccini, a city that takes its name from the composer, pays tribute to his master every summer by hosting the Puccini Festival in which they are represented, in an open-air theater overlooking the lake of Massaciuccoli, some works of the composer. Pietrasanta also called "Little Athens", a city of art with its historical fortress, craft shops, museums of great sculptors and cafes that overlook the streets of the old town. Forte dei Marmi, renowned tourist destination, is known throughout the world for its shops and upscale restaurants. Do not forget the relaxing walks in the pine forests in front of the coast, the Apuan Alps and the Versilia nightlife, full of bars, nightclubs and attractions of all kinds. Other famous cities of art and cultural interest to be achieved in a short time are Lucca, Pisa and Florence.
