Best Little Cabin
We have stayed at this cabin in the past! This was a short stay but we were thrilled to have this cabin again. It’s very cozy and provides easy access to many activities. When we needed help with the fire place, maintenance was there quickly. They even called us on our way home to see how our stay was. If you want to be within 30 minutes of Murphy, McCaysville, and Blue Ridge, this is perfect!
Quiet, clean, beautiful spot
We absolutely loved our stay. The house was well stocked with everything we needed, and it was easy to find and well maintained. The porch and surrounding property were breathtaking, and we will definitely be back!
Very nice cabin
This is a very nice little cabin, very cozy. The cabin was very clean and everything was provided, dishes, paper towels even the coffee. Wife and I stayed there Oct. 28-31 2018, it was such a relaxing little getaway. There is a great side porch overlooking a little pond, we saw 2 deer one morning walking down by the pond. The surrounding area is also beautiful to just take a ride, Murphy is only a few minutes away and it’s a very cool little historic town. WiFi and TV was great had no problems, but there is a landline if needed. I would say you can not go wrong with this place and I would love to stay again, in fact I didn’t want to leave and go back to Florida.....ugggghhh ☹️....😁
Wonderful little cabin
What a wonderful little cabin to stay in in the mountains. Our stay was great. The cabin was clean and well equipped. Was checked on after we arrived and had a nice little goodie basket to enjoy. Will definitely go back to this cabin again.
While the cabin is beautiful, it has changed over the years by removing screen doors which are needed. The negatives were; no internet upon arrival, troublesome TV operation, useless gas grill, and lack of understanding or respect from management. There is no literature in the cabin to guide you to local attractions and there was no internet to find them until the end of the second day. Our whole 2nd day was spent dealing with repair people trying to fix the problem. I pointed out the disrepair of the grill which was very old and in need of replacement. I was OK with everything up until then even though we were seriously inconvenienced. Rather than take my advice and replace the unit they tried to fix it. They waisted a lot of time and money. We left at 5 for dinner, locking all the doors and turning on the TV for our dog who has severe anxiety. The manager gave me a new remote for the TV even though the old one worked fine. When we returned an hour later, the deadbolt to the porch was unlocked and the TV on but not playing. The TV had a message that the remote needed pairing. I stepped out and asked the manager for help and was told in a hostile tone, "that was my responsibility and I needed to call Dish to handle it and she quoted an 800 number." Shocked I walked back in and sat down and searched how to get the remote paired. The manager came in again with the hostile tone and told me I could not set the remote up and accused me of messing them up. She told me "the owner did not want us using Netflix and we were to watch the TV programs she paid for." Then she refused to talk to me and turned and started talking to my wife and special needs son. At that point, I had had enough. We decided to leave the next morning although we had paid for the week. Later after dark, the maintenance guy brought a new grill. I contacted the owner through HomeAway. She is apparently and elderly lady and is completely unsympathetic to our situation and could care less our vacation was destroyed by their negligence. I am not without empathy for the owner who said she was in the hospital with a friend who was dying with cancer. The guestbook showed the previous tenants had the same issues with internet, TV, and Netflix.
I don't recommend this place. They were completely rude and disrespectful and treated 53-year-old adults like children. I thought I had seen it all until now. They never apologized for any of the trouble.
The property was very well kept had a wonderful time I'm looking forward to stay there next time I'm in North Carolina
