In The Heart Of The Minster Quarter With Medieval Courtyard & Picturesque Garden
4 Talbot Court is a spacious and luxurious first floor, one bedroom apartment with gardens overlooking York Minster, the Minster Song School and Holy Trinity Church. Access to the apartment is directly through electronically controlled wrought iron gates. Outside the gates is one of the most picturesque medieval streets in York. The entrance leads into a medieval half-timbered courtyard with floodlit stone sculpture. We have decorated and furnished the apartment to an exceptionally high standard with quality and stylish modern furnishings. The kitchen has all of the facilities and equipment that you would expect to find in your own home. We provide tea, coffee, & sugar, as well as a welcome pack, which will include continental breakfast for your first morning’s stay.The lounge has two sofas, – one of which is a double sofa bed. There is a flat screen free-view TV with ‘smart’ blu-ray DVD player and a selection of DVD’s together with a mini hi-fi system.There is free wi-fi available.

About Stephen & Christine
We moved to York in 2013 and live in Heworth with our little Shih tzu dog called Chester. Christine took early retirement from the AA (lucky so & so ) whilst Stephen is a qualified Chartered Certified Accountant. We both enjoy meeting and greeting our guests and always go the 'extra mile' to ensure that they enjoy a warm welcome and comfortable stay in our apartments. We treat all our guests as we ourselves would expect to be treated. We deliberately make our apartments like a 'home from home' so our guests can relax as soon as they walk through the door knowing that their holiday is going to be a memorable experience.

Why Stephen & Christine chose York
We holidayed in Talbot Court ourselves in 2011 and enjoyed our stay so much so that when the opportunity arose we bought Number 4 so we could offer the same wonderful experience to others. In 2014, we took the opportunity to acquire Number 2 which was the actual apartment we stayed in during 2011.

Talbot Court is in a fantastic location close to the Minster with stunning views of the 13th Century Holy Trinity Church. It is only 2 mins walk to the Minster and the Shambles. All other York attractions are within easy reach.

Apartment is definitely 5 stars. Located right in centre of busy shambles area whilst in the apartment it's so quiet and peaceful. There were 3 ladies in our party spending 2 nights Friday and Saturday celebrating a 50th birthday. On arrival Stephen the owner met us at car park and helped us with our bags the 5 minute walk to our apartment. We were very impressed it is beautifully decorated and furnished to a very high standard. They provided breakfast croissants, cereals, juice, bottled water, tea, coffee and milk. There were also bathrobes and slippers provided and Prosecco and chocolates and fresh cream cakes. We had a fabulous weekend. Stephen and Christine the owner's who are lovely were so welcoming and helpful giving us tips on where to eat and visit. We highly recommend this apartment and would love to stay again.

Best property stay yet.
We usually stay at around 2 VRBO/Homeway properties a year and this one is probably the best one we have encountered outside the USA. From the warm welcome when we arrived by Stephen to the location and furnishing of the apartment during our stay, it added much value to our York experience. Apartment was very comfortable and the elevator was greatly appreciated. The apartment is very quiet though just outside is the bustling York old town. We walked to the attractions and loved the variety of available shopping and restaurants. Can't imagine anyone not loving this property visit.

An Oasis In The Midst of Bustling Crowds
We were absolutely delighted with our stay in the Minster View Apartment. A 15-minute walk from the train station gave us a great view of the 13th century city wall, the River Ouse and the Minster. We were greeted by our landlord's friends, a delightful couple, who herded us through a locked gate, across an attractive courtyard and into our apartment building. We were thrilled there was a lift, promptly loading our heavy luggage and strolling into our apartment. Whimsically decorated and with comfortable furnishings. An added and welcome plus was the pre-packaged food offered (cereal, tea, coffee, croissants, milk and bubbly prosecco!) not expected but very appreciated. The washer was a combination dryer but we've not really found one we've liked so used the drying rack to our satisfaction. A dishwasher was put to good use as well since we were able to cook in the apartment. Wifi was great as was the TV. Enough about the great apartment! The location was superb as well. In the midst of medieval York, steps away from the Shambles, the Minster, Jorvik Viking Center, and on and on! The grocery was just around the corner and a plethora of restaurants were awaiting our visit. We spent 2 weeks here and found it to be totally worth the visit. We were without a car so public transport was needed and was readily accessed. We took one "formal" tour to see the Yorkshire Moors, the quaint seaside village of Whitby and traveled on a steam train. So fun! It was great getting back to the apartment, leaving the heaving crowds just outside the gate.
