Good time. Easy to check in and relaxing.
A refreshing trip with a view.
A great short notice get away. The cabin was very clean. The back deck was huge and we took the rocking chairs from the side and placed them on the back deck for a wonderful relaxing time all while enjoying natures view. The grill was great, very clean, and easy to use. Make sure you remember to go down stairs and turn on the hot water heater and water pump. Understandably so, this is turned off at the electrical box once you arrive. I will agree with an earlier reviewrs suggestion of coming in backwards in the drive way for an easier pull out. If you go the normal way and don't go quick enough you could leave some tire slip marks... especially when its been raining. Bottom line, wonderful cabin.
Had high expectations but was disappointed. Property in poor condition and plumbing problems.
The master bath tub when draining leaked into the downstairs bathroom through the ceiling fan. Toilet issues as well. Very dusty and poor cleanliness overall. Think twice before booking.
Thank you for letting me know that the cabin was not cleaned properly. Be assured the cleaning people are fired. We fixed the water issue on the tub, it was not the drain but the faucet got loose underneath the tub.
Review of stay
We enjoyed our stay but there was a few things that would have made it better. Better information posted in the cabin. Things like the need to turn on water when you arrive. Who to call to get wood for the fireplace. What the Wi-Fi access information is.
The cabin did not appear ready for our arrival. I washed the bathroom rugs on arrival because they were dirty. The floor in the bathroom down stairs needs work the grout is breaking up. Carol was very slow to respond to phone calls and emails when we left early because of so much rain.
Jennifer: Thanks for staying with us and I must apologize for not getting back to you on time when you decided to leave. I believe that is the timeframe that I had contacted the flu and was very slow getting back to anyone during that time.
When I came over to make sure that you were connected to the internet, we talked about things to do and places to eat and where to take your trash to. Your husband did show me the issues with the toilet leaking and our owners came us as soon as you left to fix the water issues that I had reported to them.
Unless someone has moved the information on how to open up and close down the cabin it should be on the Refrigerator in the kitchen as well as in the email that I always try to send with the directions and how to get in the property.
Again, we do our best to make sure that our guest enjoy their experiences with us and sometimes the best that we can do, things happen. The rain was very excessive during your visit and that never makes for a great vacation since you cannot get out of the cabin to see everything that is available to do here.
Excellent place we spent some very beautiful days very clean very welcoming recommended we are making plans to return and again enjoy this beautiful place thank you very much
Cozy and Quiet
We stayed for 5 days / 4 nights and really enjoyed the house. My two young kids enjoyed the jacuzzi tub and the local mountain trails/parks around the area. My husband and I enjoyed the quiet environment - couldn't hear any noise from traffic or neighbors! At night, you could see so many stars!
The town of Blairsville was close by and was charming. Everyone was very friendly and gave wonderful suggestions for things to do and places to visit.
I definitely recommend this house to anyone wanting a quiet getaway!
Very close to Blood Mountain and the Appalachian trail for hiking.
