Enjoy the view to 'Blood mountain' from the deck of this not so ordinary mountain home. A quiet mountaintop where wild life still feels comfortable but you will have all the comfort of home. 'Vogel State Park' just around the mountain and Blairsville with it's southern - mountain charm just 8 miles away. Have a fire burning while you cook in the fully equipped kitchen or grill out on the deck.
After a full day of hiking, biking, horseback riding or what ever you like to do in the mountain, a nice soak in the jacuzzi tub for two will rejuvenate your body to do it all over again the next day.
The 2 bedrooms on the main floor share a big bathroom and the loft has it's own bathroom ( jacuzzi) and a great view from the queen size bed on to the mountain.
At night watch satellite TV, play games or sit under the star studded sky on the big deck.
Unload all your worries upon enter this relaxing, beautiful mountain setting. It works for us every time we stay!
The cabin is fully equipped with all your needs. It truly is a home away from home. The views are amazing, really had a very enjoyable time. The shops are close by with alot of varieties. I fell in love with you Ingles grocery store, wish they had one in Florida. 3 thumbs up!
Carol was super easy to work with and we had a wonderful weekend with everything we needed. We rolled in at night thinking we would probably get lost and not be able to find the cabin but it wasn't hard. The directions were very clear!
We had a lovely rainy weekend so we mostly just made food together and played games inside. It was relaxing and perfect and far enough away from the real world to disconnect.
The only reason I took a star off my rating is because we were not placed in the cabin that appears in the Home Away photos. That threw me off a little bit. I was expecting the cabin in the pictures and our directions led us to one relatively similar in Suches, GA. It was still beautiful and we had a wonderful time, just wish I could have seen the pictures of the one we were actually booking beforehand for decoration and planning sleeping arrangements purposes.
I would suggest booking with Carol, just make sure to ask specifics about which cabin you are paying for. :)
Thanks for everything Carol!
We really enjoyed our stay. This cabin is so close to wonderful places. We visited Helton Creek Falls, Brasstown Bald, and Vogel Park. We live in South Florida and brought our kids to experience Fall and we were not disappointed. The area is beautiful and the cabin really felt like coming home after our days out. Our six kids loved the upstairs loft. There were enough beds for our five oldest to all sleep upstairs. The owner was a pleasure to work with and the cabin had all we needed to make our stay comfortable. Thanks for a great experience!
This location was perfect for my family coming from 2 different states to sleep in. There were 3 queen beds , 2 bathrooms and in the large closet upstairs there was an extra mattress just in case needed. jacuzzi tub upstairs was nice , beautiful porch and just a couple of minutes from Vogel State Park. Small market at the bottom of the mountain of you needed anything . 5 starts. Also Carol was very helpful and great in replying to any questions we had . Thank you
Our family visited this cabin during our grandchildren's Spring Break. Their ages range from 13 to 18 and each of them have said this was the best vacation ever! We loved the cabin and visited three waterfalls and several attractions in the area. My oldest grandson and I saw three white tailed deer and they, too, were beautiful. Thank you for sharing this cabin with us.
The cabin had everything we needed: well stocked fridge with condiments, paper towels..detergents..etc. there were lots of extra reading material, towels, games, movies, and puzzles. The bathrooms were large and roomy. A very nice cabin!
Changes needed: guest bathroom sink had one broken stopper, air vents were covered in dust, making it hard to heat, need a brush for the grill, and clean commodes before arrival (hard mountain water stains?)
Very close to Blood Mountain and the Appalachian trail for hiking.
