Approaching the Chateau down the long winding tree lined drive for the first time is like stepping into the past. The Chateau park itself is a magnificent, 22 hectares of fields, streams and some of the rarest trees in France.
There are 8 bedrooms and 5 1/2 bathrooms. Each room is luxuriously decorated and filled with antiques.
There is an enormous tapestry lined salon/drawing room with walk in fireplace, two libraries, dining room and vast fully equipped kitchen and pantry. The house has been restored to a very high standard and the rooms are both elegant and comfortable. This house is perfect for large groups, entertaining, weddings and special events.
There is a 16 metre long salt water pool, designed to blend in with the surroundings and a large lake, with kayaking, canoeing and fishing facilities, only one kilometre away.
Guests who enjoy cooking will be thrilled with the full vegetable, flower and herb gardens as well as the professional LaCanche stove for cooking. Also, guests may request that bread, pastries and pizza be prepared and made in our own ancient bakery oven located on the Chateau grounds. With so much comfort guests are generally reluctant to do the many things on offer around the Chateau, the sightseeing, canoeing, biking, fishing, hunting, swimming, tennis etc.
Given the size of the property there is a caretaker living in his cottage. Maidservice and catering can also be made available in the summer months.
The Chateau is also available for Weddings, Events, Seminars, Corporate or Wellness Retreats and other special events.
The Winter House, a beautifully refurbished 17th century farmhouse located on the grounds, may also be rented either separately or as an ensemble with the Chateau.
