If you want a relaxing holiday in an amazing property in a beautiful part of France then this place is for you!!
Jacqueline & Patrick are such lovely people giving you a really warm welcome to a holiday let they are so rightly proud of. A proper tour of the property showing you how everything works with a few lovely touches such as cherries & the best strawberry jam that I have ever tasted (homemade of course!) The cottage is very well equipped both inside and out and we really appreciated the new garden shade in the hot weather we had.
If fishing is your thing (as it is in my husband's case) then you will not be disappointed. He caught numerous carp (grass, mirror etc.) the largest being 38.5lbs!
We are missing our morning coffee on the terrace looking out at the lake and wildlife and hope to be back!!
First Class Retreat with Lake and Wildlife as a Bonus
Right from the moment we met Jacqueline and later Patrick we knew this was a quality location run to very high standards which weren't going to be allowed to drop.
We were shown how everything worked and where it was located and later Jacqueline came back and introduced us to the key places to see in the surrounding area.
Patrick and Jacqueline are a very friendly and helpful couple and were there when needed or just for a chat in Franglais.
The cottage and it's setting are superb. From the patio table with adjustable sun shade to the huge bathroom with a walk in shower to the well equipped kitchen - it's all there.
Also, to be able to walk around a lake from your front door or just to sit and watch the Mallards and other wildlife were great bonuses to have in a holiday home.
The location of this cottage gives you easy access to the whole semi circle of the Loire from Blois to Sancerre and its many interesting towns and chateaux.
To be recommended.
The three of us have just returned home after a week in Jouy le Potier - We all had the most wonderful time, grateful thanks to Jacquline, Patrick and Charles for being fantastic hosts and fishing advisors!!
Great weather, lots of lovely places to visit, time for relaxing, abundant wildlife to observe and last but not least fishing for my father! He was very pleased to have caught 30lb carp, his biggest fish ever! 🎣

Loire valley perfect retreat!
We are a family of 3 who stayed in hot August for 10 nights.
Top 10 elements (in no particular order):
1. The welcome. We arrived late (8pm ish) and Patrick and Jacqueline were lovely in their intro to the property. The honey, jam and figs were also lovely.
2. The house is gorgeous.
3. The hosts are friendly, kind, available if you want them to be and just lovely!
4. The lake is so peaceful. We seemed to spend hours looking at the view.
5. Nature: lots of fish (huge carp!), birds, ducks, a wandering-through deer; many varieties of tree.
6. The amenities in the house are exceptional, from an egg whisk to candles.
7. The outside verandah area is plenty big enough with 2 seating areas and sun loungers.
8. There are so many castles within a short drive!
9. We loved Orleans and Blois. Patrick told us about the P+R which was really easy to find and use to avoid parking prices in Orleans.
10. The peace. It is a serene place to stay. The occasional revving engine down the main road can be easily ignored.
Thank you Jacqueline and Patrick. We loved every aspect of our stay and would love to return next year sometime (and I wouldn't say that unless we really hoped it could happen!)

What an amazing holiday home, so peaceful.
Jacquelin & Daniel gave us a genuine welcome and comprehensive tour of their beautiful holiday home and well tended surroundings. The gite had all that we required for our week in the Loiret. Positioned in it’s own park on the edge of the village with a large lake and wildlife to keep us interested.
As a bonus, Daniel had provided us with a tv channel that showed all of the FIFA world cup games. The WiFi had an extensive range that allowed us to sit outside to stargaze with the app on my pad and watch Sky Go when we wanted.
Although not suitable for young children because of the lake, we would thoroughly recommend Jacqueline & Daniel’s holiday home.
Lovely restful spot
We had a wonderful vacation here. Jacqueline and Daniel are lovely people and happy to help if needed. We loved waking up to see the mist rising off the pond with the ducks cruising by. The property is immaculate. My husband and I highly recommend it. Reinhard and Myra Flick
