This is truly a family cottage. It's been in our family for about 30 years. Many happy summer memories of running around with cousins, sharing lobster dinners and waking up to Grandma Edna's blueberry pancakes.
Our cottage is on a dead-end street so we don't get a lot of traffic and it's on a hill looking down on Decker Cove. We are not close to other cottages, so it's quiet, yet, because we are close to Southport bridge, we are just minutes from downtown Boothbay Harbor with its boat rides, restaurants and shops.
Another relaxing vacation-a bit warmer than usual. Thanks for keeping the cottage so neat and clean.
We enjoyed our stay. Perfect sized cottage for me, two kids and my niece. The kitchen was well equipped. Convenient to the lobster pound and an easy drive down to town. Would recommend to friends!
We had a wonderful stay at the cottage. It was decorated beautifully and had all the amenities. We were surprised at how well the bathroom and kitchen were stocked. It was just like being at home. Everything was clean and the location is great. We hope to return next year and have that relaxing vacation.
Our family enjoyed a very relaxing vacation in this charming, well equipped cottage. This home is in a serene neighborhood, is well situated to catch the refreshing ocean breezes and has a lovely water view. All of the beds were very comfortable. Our two small children loved the bunk beds and my elderly mother loved the 3rd bedroom with a view of the water (a lovely nap location). The cottage is situated close to Booth Bay Harbor, the Botanical Gardens, beaches and the Maine State Aquarium. The location made it easy to take day trips without spending hours in the car. The home is furnished well and is very comfortable. There is a 6 person dining table inside and full size and child size picnic tables outside. I would recommend this home to any family. We had a marvelous vacation and plan on returning again.
This cottage is clean as a whistle, with everything and more that you will need to relax and enjoy the Boothbay area. The furnishings were clean and comfortable and the home surprisingly roomy. We were able to hear the gulls and fog horns! It is just far enough outside of the noise of downtown Boothbay and yet very close. Great place to stay!!!
We had a lovely week at this charming cottage, which is very well located just over the bridge to Southport Island from Boothbay Harbor. Our young kids (6 and 3) enjoyed the bunkbeds, the spacious lawn and the selection of kids' books. The cottage itself has a wonderfully rustic feel; it feels good to be in it. The owner, Elizabeth, was very helpful and friendly. Highly recommended!
We had such a great time here. This cottage is in a fabulous location, with a great restaurant for lobster dinners in walking distance, and a great yard. The house was really cute, everything I hoped for. Highly recommend this rental!! We'll be back next year. Thanks very much!
