Beautiful modern villa, which sits in its own half-acre garden, on a short 'dead-end' lane.
Just a short stroll brings you to the unspoiled Manasota Beach, where you can just relax, or search for shells and fossilized sharks' teeth. Return in the evening for breathtaking sunsets!
This villa has everything, and has been equipped lovingly by the owners to ensure your vacation is stress-free. Amenities range from luxurious padded poolside furniture, to bikes for those more energetic days. If you MUST keep in touch with the office then make use of the free wireless Internet broadband, or the free phone calls to over 100 countries.
The villa sleeps 10 comfortably, as there are two rollaway beds for flexibility of sleeping arrangements.
Can you afford to give this villa a miss?
We live in the UK as our family is here and we love to be near to our grandchildren.
The time we get to spend in our lovely home near Manasota Beach is very special and we are never ready to leave when it is time to go back home.
We lost our first Florida home in Kissimmee to the 2004 hurricanes, and our aim was to make our new home the villa that had everything! The villa was built for us in 2006 and from the testimonials we have received it would seem that we achieved this aim.
We hope our future guests will continue to appreciate our wonderful home.
The Owner purchased this villa in 2006
After losing the Kissimmee villa, we decided to build a villa in the spot we considered to be a real taste of Paradise. We think you will agree we found it.
The most beautiful sunsets across the Gulf of Mexico, a lovely unspoilt beach, the excitement of collecting fossilized sharks' teeth on the sand, and all just a few minutes walk away.
We love the seclusion of the villa, and the friendly neighbors, as well as the proximity to shops and restaurants.
We spent a fantastic 7 weeks at Sandy's lovely, private villa in Engelwood! We stayed during January and February, 2016. Everything we needed was provided. Our entire family, especially the grandchildren, loved the pool. The bikes were an added bonus! Great for riding to the beach, about a half mile away. Any questions we had were answered quickly. Sandy was very professional.
We had planned to return for six weeks, mid-January to the end of February, 2017. However, in September, Gary was diagnosed with cancer that requires nine months of treatment to be administered where we live. We were very disappointed that we had to cancel our reservation. Sandy was very understanding and supportive.
We strongly recommend spending your vacation at Sandy's villa in Engelwood! Beautiful villa, perfect, private location, wonderful owner to work with.
Gary and Marie
We stayed at this villa from Nov. 21, 2009 thru Nov. 28, 2009....
This home is beautiful....everything said in the description is true. The home is fully equipped for a holiday meal and has all the extras needed for an infant or toddler....even the pool has a safety screen around it......the beach is clean and the area is family oriented....
We would highly recommend this for a family of any age.....
you will find Sandy to be very helpful to make sure your stay is
My family and I stayed here for the first week of January... my only hesitation in writing a review is that I do not want others to steal this perfect vacation home! The house is very spacious with two living rooms and 4 bedrooms. It is stocked with everything that you can imagine and everything is well maintained. We especially loved that it was set back in on such a private street. Sandy was the most wonderful person to deal with, super informative and accommodating. We opted to have the pool heated and it was the best decision ever. We had babies right down to 8 months old with us and every single one of us lived in the pool all day everyday! The walk to the beach is easy, not the most walking friendly road, but not terrible. It's a short walk with a beautiful view, we even managed to see manatees! I cannot say enough good things about this rental. We will definitely be booking this rental again! I'm hoping for a yearly event!! Thanks again Sandy!!
My family and I stayed here for a wonderful two week vacation. The villa is beautiful and in a private location. The salt water pool is so nice. I also love the layout of the home with the largest master bedroom being on one side with a beautiful large bathroom. Its close to the beach and we enjoyed using the bikes to get to the beach and around the neighborhoods. This property is well managed and cared for. The owner is great to book with. This home is highly recommended.
My family and I try to pick a different vacation spot every summer. This summer (July 2015) we decided to look towards the west coast of Florida. After finding this villa, we quickly got in touch with Sandy and got it reserved. It had everything our 10 person group could ask for (ages from 3 – 66).
The Villa: Great location down the end of a short dirt road. You really feel ‘hidden’ away from everything. The 2 master bedrooms were comfortable and both opened up to the pool area. The living room area meshed nicely with the kitchen. We really spent a ton of our time outside under the lanai eating, playing games, relaxing and enjoying the pool. The garage was fully stocked with bikes, pool toys and chairs to use on the beach.
The Beach: Manasota Beach is just about a half a mile down the road. They provide ample parking, bathrooms and a picnic area for your convenience. The beach is very ‘shelly’. It has tons of shells and you can get lost in time walking and picking up the various shells you come across. It’s also home to a lot of turtle nests and some extremely gorgeous sunsets. The water in the Gulf is warmer and the waves are a bit smaller compared to the Atlantic Ocean side. If you drive down the Key, you will have wonderful views of the Gulf (and some of the Bay) and end up at Stump Pass Beach State Park. This a beautiful area to go exploring and get lost in the serenity of everything.
Miscellaneous: There is a Publix, Wal-Mart and Target right down the road, so any food or general thing you might need is within very close proximity. We primarily cooked our own meals, but the restaurant choices seemed pretty good.
Bottom Line: This ended up being one of my favorite vacation spots. The owner, Sandy, was a pleasure to work with and very responsive. I highly recommend this villa for anyone looking to relax and enjoy the beauty of west coast Florida!
My family and I just stayed at this villa!(July '14) and it was a wonderful place. We had enough room and beds with 9 people. The owner Sandy was very nice as well as the property manager!! The salt water pool was wonderful-hard to get the younger ones out of it! My son is 2.5 yrs old and we had the security fence around the pool-it was a sturdy fence I was really worried about it but Sandy had it up for us before we arrived! Very nice place would recommend for anyone especially if you have a larger crowd. We had lots of room never felt on top of each other! Thanks again Sandy!
Selfishly, I hesitate to write this review because this property has to be one of the best kept secrets in the area! A fabulous retreat for our two families to spend the holiday - a wonderfully furnished, clean, family friendly home. This is a wonderful home on a private dead end lane with Florida scrub in the backyard for wildlife and bird observations. Gopher tortoise and bird preserves within walking distance. Bikes and beach/shelling equipment in the garage were perfect additions and kept our family and children entertained all week long. I can't imagine another location where we could experience so much privacy - and yet be just a 5 minute bike ride from the beach. Manasota Beach has wonderful shelling with lots of sharks teeth, and just down the beach a few miles is a wonderful state park. Sandy is a fabulous "absent host" - checking in with us electronically to be sure we were taken care of and the management company exceeded our expectations (water heater element needed to be replaced during our stay and they had someone out to fix it within 20 minutes of our phone call..on Thanksgiving I might add). We are already planning our next getaway! Thanks so much Sandy for a dream holiday - we WILL be back!
Manasota Beach is situated in the South Venice area of Sarasota County. The area abounds in Golf Courses and beautiful beaches. The coastline in the main has the beaches separated from the mainland by the intracoastal waterway. Manasota is one of the few places where this is bridged, so access is easy.
11 minutes drive will bring you to Venice, a truly wonderful resort, with theatres, upmarket shops and restaurants (try the seafood, it is out of this world) and wonderful buildings.
6 minutes drive will bring you to the shopping plaza where you can buy all your daily needs, and a great deal more. This is also the junction with the main road, which means easy accessibility to the rest of Florida or to and from the airport. The Manasota Beach area is a mixture of old and new houses, all individual - you won't find estates or subdivisions of like houses here. Many of the houses are set in their own grounds, as is our villa, affording privacy and peace after your day out.
Golf: There are numerous golf courses in the area, where the skill levels range from keen enthusiast to professional player.
