Wedding in Indy
We were looking for something close to Laurel Hall that would accommodate 2 families, so this location was perfect. Everything was provided that we needed. Nikki was quick to resolve an internet/streaming issue that was caused by a previous customer so we couldn't fault her for that. In fact, she went out of her way to resolve it and we enjoyed her company while fixing it.
Decent place to stay / Home owner awesome !
This is an older home which was very clean and spacious. Small details still needed to improved overall look ( door trim paint , some peeling paint, door stick, old heating system looks rough ) are very easy to ignore since the home was very comfortable and clean.
Anything that we found we needed we just gave a shout out to the home owner and she fixed it or brought it to us.
I would stay here again....

Nickole is Amazing! She is just a phone call away, and when there is an issue (needed lightbulbs), she fixed it right away. The house has four bedrooms so it is perfect for larger groups. We came for Gen Con and it could not have been a better drive from here (to downtown convention hall) and the location is such a nice quiet neighborhood!

Not ready to rent. Air conditioner issues that caused us to have to move out early.
The house has a cute layout and would have been adequate for out family but there were too many issues. From the very first evening we checked in after driving 6.5 hours we had workers in the house and everyday of our stay fixing air vent covers, handing curtains, mirrors, and trying to repair an air conditioner that leaked water into one of the bedrooms and lower level ceiling. During the attempted repair, insulation got into the air vents and was shooting out into every room. I had to wash linens and actually damp mopped the floor on my hands and knees to clean up the insulation - no cleaning supplies were available. I even had to wash bedding but some of the bedding was unusable so two people ended up on sofas. The home does sleep 9 but there were not enough dishes provided - no coffee pot or toaster and the pans were definitely used. No mixing bowl, cookie sheet or pot holders. Three of the bedrooms did not have night stands or lamps. There were quite a few outlets without covers (against code) and no hand rail on the stairs to the lower level. We finally left Saturday night because of the water leaking and no air conditioning - the temperature inside the house reached 84 degrees.. The owner did provide the hotel rooms but because we were unable to prepare or eat the food we had purchased we had the additional expense of a meal out. We were in Indy for a baseball tournament and due to the move out my grandson missed an event with his team. And the worse insult was that the owner is not willing to issue a refund. She charged us for 4 nights and then charged us again for an 'extra' night. We asked for half our rental fee back but she refused. We filed a complaint with VRBO and with the Indianapolis Better Business Bureau. We were shocked to see that in spite of all the repairs needed, the owner has it listed again on VRBO. SO BEWARE. Looks cute and sounds great but the house has some pretty major issues. It has also occured to us that the owner knew about the issues with the air conditioner before we even rented the property. A very unpleasant experience .
Pat stayed in our home for 3 nights. On day 1 she requested items not offered in my amenities like a coffee maker and toaster. I accommodated.
On the morning of day 2 she requested night stands, towel racks, cookie sheets, more dishes, and complained about a loose screw in an over-head register. I again accommodated all except for the night stands. With Pat's permission, I did send over a repairman at a cost of $100 per hour to install the towel racks and the loose screw.
*INSIGHT-my pictures on VRBO do not advertise night stands or towel racks. Pat was only short on place settings because she booked for 8 guests but brought 12.
On night 3 our air handler (located in the attic) began to leak. While it continued to keep the house cool; there was a drip that was coming through the closet ceiling. I immediately called a HVAC company and they had it diagnosed and fixed within 2 hours. No harm no foul. Neither of us could have predicted the leak.
On Day 4 Pat said the she and her guests were uncomfortable and wanted their money refunded. They sent a text stating that if they didn't get their monies back they would file a complaint with VRBO as well as with the Better Business Bureau.
I was emotionally drained. I knew that I had done everything in my power to satisfy a guest that I now know did not want to be satisfied.
Me being me, I offered to put ALL the guests (including the ones she had not paid for) in a 4.7 star hotel suite that had a full kitchen. I booked 2 suites. I drove to the hotel and checked them in and had keys waiting for them at their rooms. This hotel also provided free full (not continental) breakfast as well as evening finger foods.
Once there, I gave them a tour of the hotel. It had outside fire pits poolside, on site laundry, etc etc. The guests appeared to be satisfied.
Additionally, I refunded the entire night stay for night 4 at $250 and left my home available to them so that they had alternatives and could move their things at their convenience.

We just received the playing schedule for the baseball tournament next weekend. It appears our team plays at 9:00 am on the 12th. Because of the travel distance, I am requesting to add an additional night - July 11th. Please let me know asap if this can be arranged.
I actually do have the 11th open on the calendar.
However, I’m unable to alter your request on my end.Please amend your dates.
