The Baia village complex is located in Gale around 3kms west of Albufeira also close to Armacao De Pera, meaning that its location is central to all attractions including superb sandy and rustic large beaches perfect for coastline walking among the caves. The kids will love dipping their nets into the large shallow rock pools the tide leaves behind, from large expanses of sand at Gale to the cove beaches of Castelo, Evaristo, Sao Rafael, Coelho and lourenco with plently of flora and fauna. Watersports, beach side cafes and restaurants and bars. The immediate area has good amenities or you can venture out a little further for more lively bars and clubs. You will be spoiled for choice when it comes to eating out, this area is laden with mouth watering traditional and international cuisine from the seafood of Gale to the traditional famous piri piri chicken of the village of guia from buffets to the Indian, Chinese and English roast dishes in Albufeira, your cravings will be catered for. The apartment is located only 5 minutes away from the local beaches and golf courses and is within 5 minutes drive of the two main holiday towns of Albufeira and Armacao de pera which hosts local market, street entertainment, sand art, lively festivals and yearly carnivals. If you choose to walk to Albufeira, its amazing and takes around 40 minutes, and i personally like to stop off on the way and take in a coffee while watching the boats sail in and out of Albufeira marina. The apartment is situated in a gated complex, with intercom and is fully alarmed. The bedroom is fitted with a kingsize bed with fitted wardrobes, bedside cabinets and lamps, there is a dressing table complete with mirror. Also located in the wardrobe is a safety deposit box. kept above the wardrobes is additional pillars and bedding for your comfort. The bathroom is equipped with a Jacuzzi bath and shower. heated towel rail and over sink mirror. The kitchen is equipped with refrigerator, microwave, oven and hob. washer, dishwasher , toaster , juicer, iron and ironing board. In the living area, there are two pull out sofa beds, a dining table and six chairs. coffee table and sideboard. flat screen TV, sky and DVD player with a selection of around 50 DVD's. There is an Xbox with controller and 50 games. There is a radio/ipod docking station with built in CD player and around 50 CD's. There are a selection of books, magazines and children's games from badminton, boules, and board games. There are also mountain bikes stored in the underground garage. Wi fi is also provided in the apartment. On the balance, there is a table and six chairs along with a barbecue, you will also find a selection of sun loungers for your use. There are other items supplied such as heating/air conditioning, hair driers and straighteners. above the apartment is a shared roof terrace, communal pool and well maintained gardens. There is also a dedicated underground parking space, should you chose to hire a car.
We went here for two weeks at the end of August 2014 with 2 children 11 and 6yrs old. Upon leaving the airport we rang the meet and greet lady who met us at the apartment and handed over the keys, explained alarm etc and left us to unpack. The first thing the kids did was turn on the sky TV (just like home) which was an added bonus as they could watch this whilst unpacked. The apartment is exactly as describes and the owner Allan was brilliant with every query we had. We went out to have a look round and got talking to some other apartment owners who were all lovely, and kids we're were great and our kids are now on Skype their new friends. There are lots of lovely places to eat and also a nice walk to the marina, calling in at the city bar on the way for a nice somersby cider and a game of air hockey. We went on the catamaran boat trip and a fishing trip which again was great fun. The beach is only a 10min walk away, we took the cool box with us for some lunch. All in all we had an amazing holiday and this apartment was as it says home from home it had everything, I will recommend this apartment and Allan to my friends and colleagues, will just be upset if they book it and I can't get in hahaha 5********* kaye ,dan Arran and Callum
Lovely apartment with every convenience, and pool area which was never overcrowded as you get with hotels, very helpful owner always on the end of the phone if you need any advice, peaceful location, a few restaurants scattered about, 10 - 15 mins stroll to beach, small shop for groceries 5 mins round the corner. For more livelier atmosphere with souvenir shops, plenty of restaurants go to old town 7/8 euro in taxi, Better to walk to one of the restaurants round the corner and ask for them to call one for you, very helpful and friendly (JK,s and Algale), was Always nice to get back to the apartment for a relaxing evening watching the sun set.....oh not forgetting the sea view!!!, I would recommend this apartment to anyone
