Very enjoyable 3 days at Logan's Hideaway.Spent Many hours sitting on the deck or in the hot tub watching the busy passage out front. The wa terscape is constantly changing, great views. The cottage is nicely appointed, everything you need and the new Webber BBQ was a plus.We had one rainy day so took advantage of the DVD library.
Pender Island has a lot to offer,a good grocery store, liquor store and variety of other shops.Several good restaurants, the seafood pot pie at Hope Bay Cafe was memorable, delicious.Lots of good hiking trails,Mt Norman is a must-do,steep hike up but fantastic view point makes it well worth it,close by the George Hill trail also offers great views at the top.A fun little golf course close by.
We had been to Pender before but decided to try a different cottage this time. It was absolutely wonderful. Huge windows with ocean views in every room, clean well kept cottage, and best of all a hot tub even closer to the water than the cottage. We really enjoyed our stay and plan to be back again.
Not only was this a beautiful location for a restful weekend, but the owners have thought of everything. The cottage was spotless, well thought-out, and outfitted with all the little luxuries that made our stay special. We really enjoyed the hot tub, and the umbrella with hooks to keep the soft robes dry if it rained while in the hot tub was just one example of how much care Bill and Diane have put into the cottage. Loved it! thank you and we hope to be back....
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at Logan's Hideaway. What a beautiful view; the cottage is well appointed and cozy. The hot tub in the evening looking west, provided great sunsets. It was great to get to know Bill and share stories of travels and adventures. What an amazing collection of DVD movies he has. We had a great time exploring the island and just relaxing and watching ferries and marine life go by.
We have been coming here for almost five summers with good reason.....it is always a pleasure....a lovely hideaway where we get away from the busy city, watch the ongoing wildlife show, play in the water, and enjoy Bill and Diane's hospitality. Love the blackberry jam, the comfy cottage, the resident seals in Grimmer Bay, the amazing sunsets, the beach and yard where our daughter can explore, and much more. Our family has been coming to Pender for many years since the Roesland Resort Cottages were open, and we always enjoy our time on the Island. We will be back for sure!
This place is spectacular! Immaculate, tastefully appointed, friendly & helpful hosts, and a view that is exceptional beyond compare. We brought kayaks and launched them right on the beach for many great paddles. BBQ'ed on the new gas-fired Weber grill and ate on the deck overlooking the best sunsets ever. Hot tub was clean & relaxing, and again...the view! Can't say enough about the view which was featured in every room but the bathroom. Ferrys, eagles, orcas, seals, mink, & float planes all paraded by throughout the day. Great pubs & restaurants on the island and fantastic bakery (be sure and try their fresh hot gigantic cinnamon rolls!). Bill & Diane are great hosts and we definitely want to go back to this wonderful hideaway.
Wow... our original intent was to see the island, that fell through about a minute after arrival. Why would we ever go anywhere when we had seals, otters, birds and deer to watch. The view was incredible and the whales even gave us a show one evening. We had everything we needed right at the cabin and only ventured out once for a bite to eat at the resort (it was fantastic). We will be going back as soon as we can and would recommend Logan's Hideaway for the perfect get-away!!!
Lots of trails and beach accesses on the island. Natural beauty & tranquility. Many different artisans and a special place Renaissance Studio Gallery she designs jewelry and he restore art & antiques and they have a fabulous selection you would never expect to find on an island! We have a National Park as well as regional park on the island as well.
