Why Jansen Herr chose Lancaster
This unique home has been operating as a bed & breakfast since the 1960s. With bedrooms and bathrooms aplenty, 2 living rooms, beautiful perennial gardens, and outdoor seating this property is ideal for a large group gathering.
What makes this House unique
Lancaster County is an ever-popular destination. With a wide variety of activities to choose from, it is difficult to find the right location that puts everything within a short distance. This property does just that. Just a few minutes off of Route 30, yet mere yards away from Amish farms and backroads. The thriving and culturally exciting city of Lancaster is a very short drive. It truly is the best of both worlds.

What a house!
A beautiful house right on Philadelphia Pike road. We watched the Amish buggies go by the front door. We were close to everything and the house was the perfect size for a family reunion. 7 bedrooms and 8 bathrooms meant no one had to share a bathroom. We had an 8 year old and 5 year old staying with us who loved the swing set and the huge back yard. Our kids and grandkids along with cousins played baseball, tag, and soccer in the back yard. At night then parents played cards downstairs in the fully furnished. Asement while the little ones slept upstairs, undisturbed. The large dining room table was great for dinners. This is a wonderful vacation home and the property manager was easy to work with and very accommodating.
Very peaceful with gorgeous yard and outside seating.
It was perfect for our group of six.
Beautiful Family House!
As children my parents would take us on vacation to Lancaster during the summer. My father loves Lancanster and has great admiration for the Amish. This year we decided to celebrate my father's 74 birthday with his children and grandchildren. We were a party of 14, just the amount of people allowed in this home. We had a fabulous time and most important we were able to stay together without having to sleep in different hotel rooms.
The house is beautifully decorated with a homey feeling for sure. The house is nicely equipped with items needed to cook and clean up. There were the basic essentials in the bathrooms such as what a hotel would offer. Most of all, the house is exceptionally clean!!
The grounds are beautiful and well manicured. What a peaceful environment to sit on the bench swing sipping coffee in the morning.
Wanting to maintain the cleanliness of the home, on Sunday during our stay, I reached out asking about a broom to clean up the kitchen area. My phone call was returned in a timely fashion and a dyson vacuum was brought over for our use. What service!!
I can't say enough about this place. T
Thank you for being true to your word!!
This is indeed a perfect home for large groups!
This house accommodated our 13 individuals of 4 generations (ages 1-86) with room to spare! Lots of space to converse, play games, eat and sleep. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of dishes, mugs and tableware. The house is lovely, inside and out. The grounds and yard are spacious and the playset was a hit with the little ones! There is air conditioning in every room. The location is convenient to everything in the Lancaster area. The owner is very attentive and helpful. The only negative to the property is lots of road noise even at night.
Great house for a family gathering
Perfect for extended family gathering since each room has its own bathroom. Very traditional decor and welcoming.
