About Lisa Buyack

This property is owned by the Buyack and Pratt families. Natives of Arizona, but we escape to Southern Utah as often as possible.

Lisa Buyack purchased this cabin in 2007

Why Lisa Buyack chose Utah

Southern Utah is a hidden jewel. The area has some of the most amazing beauties in the US. Zion National Park is perhaps the most stunning of all the US National Parks, yet you have Bryce Canyon closeby as well. The quad trail systems through the national forest in the area are some of the best in the nation. The property is fun year round with so many activities to do.

What makes this cabin unique

We built this cabin for us and for our family. It was setup to fit a small or large group combined. We didn't spare any expense as you'll see with the solid wood floors and custom cherry cabinets and granite countertops. The high speed internet, and Satellite TV lets us stay connected to life, yet a step outside and you can watch deer, turkey and numerous other antelope walking around the property. We hope you'll enjoy it as much as we do.

Felt like pampered houseguests.

  • 5 of 5

We are returning house guests. Three generation family members had plenty of room and privacy. The owner called us during our stay to make sure all was going well. We spent time on ATVs, exploring caves, hiking in Bryce Canyon, fishing in local ponds, and hiking nearby paths. Our last evening there, we turned off all electronic gadgets and played a game called Spoons. There was laughter throughout the evening from all 3 generations. We returned home with many wonderful memories.

A great family reunion!

  • 5 of 5

We had a family reunion here and enjoyed ourselves thoroughly! There were deer everywhere and we were so entertained by the cute chipmunks that came to visit on the back stairs every day. The kitchen was well stocked which we really appreciated since we like to cook and eat dinner as a family. It's a great location with lots of fun ATV trails nearby, caves to explore, hiking, fishing, beautiful scenery, cooler weather in the hot summer, and the Shakespeare Festival in nearby Cedar City. Everyone found things to do and we all felt like we had plenty of space in the cabin.

We had a great family get together at this cabin.

  • 5 of 5

We found everything in good condition, and the owners were very helpful in getting us in and settled down. There was a lighting storm that caused a problem with the alarm system, but the owner was very helpful in resolving the problem. We would stay there again if we get the opportunity.

Great cabin for families!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was great for our two families. The location was perfect because it was centrally located for most of the large parks nearby. It was stocked with all the comforts of home. The fire pit was great for our cookout. We appreciated Brett and Lisa checking in on us from time to time as we stayed longer than most guests. The main living area TV broke before we arrived and they made arrangements to have it replaced quickly. Thanks for sharing your cabin with our families.

Owner's Response: Hi Rebecca! We're so glad your family enjoyed your stay. Duck Creek is the perfect location for accessing so many great things to do. We now have a new TV there at the cabin - thanks for your patience! We would love to have your group back again!

So pleased we stayed here

  • 5 of 5

Very comfortable, nice house that is located between Bryce and Zion. The location requires some driving, but the drives are beautiful and worth getting away from the crowds into the peaceful wooded setting at Duck Creek. We also explored some caves here that we would have never seen if we didn't stay here. The house is beautiful and well kept and we are so happy we chose to stay here over a hotel.

Owner's Response: Hi Jennie - I couldn't agree with you more! The drive down the 14 to Cedar has to be one of the most scenic that there is. The crowds are heavy down by Zion, and so it's nice to go in and see the park and then retreat to the quiet Village at night. Mammoth caves are great, and a favorite for our kids. There is also quite a bit of geo-caching that we've done with the kids in the area. We hope you guys can come back again!
