Lois D'Uva purchased this house in 2006
2016 renovations include light updating of bathrooms, refinished hardwood floors, new furniture, new cleaning company, new landscaper...nice face-lift.
This property is my diamond in the rough. Location, location, location...absolutely beautiful, private and simply breathtaking. True adirondack style cabin, not spoiled, clean, all the ammenities you need and want - and that includes wireless internet service and an HBO / Cinemax package! L.O.L. ! The property has plans developed for a full scale renovation, but over the years we've grown to love it as is. Still unsure of how far to go, how much i really want to change! Close to everything, deep waters for docking, set off the road, no steep cliffs or stairs to climb, pets welcome.
It's a true adirondack lake house set on a gorgeous piece of property.

What a great place. when we arrived we were surprised that it was much nicer than the pictures . The home was exactly as described a beautiful rustic Adirondack home with an incredible view of the lake and mountains. The house was tastefully decorated. We were 4 adults and 4 children and the kids just loved the upstairs loft and the property. its private, peaceful and well maintained. On the 3rd of July the fireworks for the town of Bolton landing were set off a barge about 50 yards from the dock, we had front row to the show. Overall we all had an amazing experience and lots of great memories.
I must admit the family and I were cautious about renting based on one poor review that was posted from last year. I must say we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived. The cottage is cozy and quiet and set back in a location that gives you the feel of a true Adirondack experience. The cottage offered plenty of space for the entire family (10 of us) and provided enough seating for us to enjoy family movies at night. The location is perfect having just a short drive to Bolton Landing and Lake George Village. The walk down to the water is minimal, and there is a large grassy area that the kids enjoyed playing in. The dock was perfect for our two boats, and our kids enjoyed swimming off the dock daily. I can tell you from experience that you will be hard pressed to find another place on Lake George with this type of location and accommodations for the price. Lois was very pleasant to deal with and even allowed us to come up a little early. The house was clean as was the property. If you are looking for a getaway for a larger group and don't want to "break the bank" I highly recommend this location. Thanks Lois for the hospitality!

Pros: Wonderful Location
Lakeside fire pit
Cons: House not being well cared for. Inside of the house filled with cobwebs, dead bugs in the lights and windowsills. Rodent problem that was reported to the "caretaker" and was not taken care of during our stay, making the "Loft" completely unusable to us. Appears the owner is somewhat unaware of what is actually (not)going on in her home. The outside of the house is filled with cobwebs and spider eggs and the windows desperately need to be cleaned.
The great room in this "camp" has wonderful potential. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of effort being put into this home. The furniture is old and dingy. The kitchen has a half filled silverware drawer with knives that hardly cut and the showers are extremely small and rusty.
We have been in many "camps" on Lake George. We were not expecting anything grand. We were, however, hoping for a clean, cozy camp. We were obviously disappointed in what we got.

Lake George in the Adirondack Park region of NY is a 32 mile long, and up to 2 mile wide, spring-fed, natural wonder that entertains both young and old alike. Art festivals, outdoor bands, and antique fairs only scratch the surface of the multitude of activities to take advantage of. The surrounding Adirondack Park region offers you an easy visit by car to other surrounding Adirondack lakes and parks, including Lake Placid, but none compares to Lake George, The Queen of the American Lakes.
