A renovated house in a village in the inventory of historic buildings, the ground floor consists of a large living room of 40m2, fitted kitchen, upstairs: shower, separate toilet, a bedroom with a 140 x190 bed, a room with two beds 90 x 190, a garage for motorcycles and / or bicycles, with two parking spaces, a garden with table and chairs.
We stayed in this house for two nights in July 2017. Frédéric is a friendly host. The accomodation had everything necessary including a washing machine - but unfortunately we felt like staying in a submarine or a cave... The house is in the typical Bretagne style with one large room on the ground floor. This room is big and it should feel spacious but it doesn´t. We felt very confined because the windows are so small and they are all on the same side. One the first floor there are four rooms - a big bedroom, a smaller bedroom, a bathroom with a shower and a toilet. The windows of the bedrooms are on the same side as the windows on the ground floor. Unfortunately these windows sit at floor level, you cannot stand in front of them and look outside. --- The photos of the house show a small garden. In reality it is even smaller. Also it is very exposed to the street and offers no shade. We were not tempted to sit there. --- The house is in the tiny village of Cahire which consists of beautiful historic houses. The town / county do not seem to value this at all. While France is generally full of "30 km" zones this pretty village had no such luck and people are racing through it (and right past the gable of the house) at 70 km... Luckily it does get quieter at night. --- This feedback sounds rather negative. We mean to say that the house is alright for an overnight but there is nothing romantic to it. Also we thought that it was a bit overpriced compared to other accomodations we had during three weeks in Bretagne.
