The hide-away location in North Coast Village is just one of the things making this 2bed/2bath a standout. Situated on a top floor corner and considered to have one of the best views in the complex, welcome to your private piece of beach paradise. Recently renovated and comfortably furnished, the master bedroom has a California King bed, flat screen TV and DVD player and en-suite bathroom is newly tiled with glass enclosed tub-shower combo and separate vanity area The Guest bedroom has 2 twin beds, flat screen TV, and an en-suite bathroom with a large walk-in shower. The living room is cozy with a fireplace, Queen Sofa Sleeper, 55" flat screen HDTV equipped with a DVR cable box (you can record your programs), free Netflix, dependable free internet & WiFi. The Condo comes stocked with beach chairs, beach towels, umbrella, & boogie boards. Surfboards and wet suits are available onsite.The outside deck has its own BBQ and seating at a granite counter. Relax with your morning beverage while watching the surfers catch a wave. Evenings bring the kind of sunsets memories are made of. Sitting there you won't believe the view.... Perfect!!

About Jean Forman, Robyn Forman

In the 1980's, my parents, Irv and Jean, were introduced to North Coast Village. They were so impressed with the complex amenities, the location, and the overall ambience, they decided to purchase a 'beach house' for our family to enjoy. Then in the 90's they made the life-changing decision to leave LA and move to the beach full time. Opportunity, (and being in the right place at the right time) afforded them a chance to purchase a few other condos and Vacationbeach.com was born. They were pioneers in North Coast Village, as they were the first to start renting condos out for short term vacations.. and so was the beginnings of our 'family business'. When my dad became ill 3 years ago I moved here from Arizona to help my mom with the business.

Sadly my dad passed away in Dec 2013. He was 88 years old. Jean is now 88, but in good health and still in charge!

Another wonderful stay

We spent our last Christmas/New Year's here and chose to return for two weeks again this year. That's how great this place is! It is so relaxing and low-key ... perfect for us (a mom with three teenagers and a 7 year old) to just have some togetherness and recharge. Our only outing outside of Oceanside on this trip was taking the Coaster in to San Diego (we walked to the train station and the kids had never been on a train, so that was fun). We toured the amazing USS Midway and then wandered around the shops at Seaport Village. Other than that, we spent a lot of time on the beach directly in front of the condo. The teens managed to surf this year (with wet suits and surf boards provided at the condo) and had a great time. My youngest loved playing in the sand with the sand toys and buckets, while I enjoyed the view from a beach chair, with a drink in my hand and my toes in the sand (sand toys, beach chairs and beach towels were all provided). We wandered up and down the beach, fished off the jetty, strolled on the dock, enjoyed lunch at Ruby's, explored the harbor, and feasted on a crab dinner. We even ventured into town to the movies one night. The pool and the hot tub were a big hit again; we used them daily/nightly. Other than that, we took full advantage of the beautifully remodeled kitchen (after a shopping trip to Costco and Walmart). It had everything we could possibly need. We read books, watched movies, played board games (borrowed from the game room next to the laundry room) and of course, enjoyed the quick wifi. Mom's favorite spot was still the deck ... whether drinking coffee and watching surfers in the morning or drinking an adult beverage and watching the sunset in the evening. Jean and Robyn proved to once again be great hostesses and we couldn't have asked for a better spot for our vacation. We love this place.

Beautiful condo/wonderful hosts

I can't say enough good things about our two week vacation in the two bedroom/two bath corner condo that overlooked the ocean. Myself (mom) and four boys (a 6 year old and three teenagers) enjoyed ourselves immensely. Jean and Robyn were the perfects hostesses and they made sure our every need was met. The condo was comfortable and every detail had been thought of. There were wet suits for the kids, sand toys, boogie boards and even surf boards. There were beach chairs provided and plenty of beach towels. The beach was mere steps away and we spent much time on the beach, even in December. The pool was wonderful, but mom thought the hot tub was even better. As you can see from the pictures, the hot tub is large and almost clover shaped ... allowing for lots of people and giving groups a little privacy. It wasn't your typical hotel hot tub where four people were sitting shoulder to shoulder. My kids enjoyed the game room and played pool, foos ball and ping pong. We utilized the community laundry room a few times, which came in handy. We went on several excursions to the zoo, the safari, Legoland and SeaWorld. Other than that, we enjoyed staying around the condo, as we loved the pool, hot tub and beach. We watched a few movies on Netflix and the kids thought the free wifi was exceptional. The beds were comfortable (a king and two twins), and the living room was a cozy hang-out. The kitchen had everything we needed (and we only ate two meals out). We barbecued both on the private barbecue on the deck, as well as on the community barbecue downstairs. The private garage parking was convenient and we loved the lush grounds. We brought our bicycles with us and there was bike storage in the garage. One of my favorite spots was sitting on the deck watching the sunset, sipping on a drink. I loved to hear the ocean waves lull me to sleep. After watching the North Coast video online, I was concerned there would be too many rules and it would be a complex of "older folks" who would not welcome kids or families. I was skeptical that we wouldn't fit in and was a tad bit afraid that we would be the "rule breakers." I found none of that to be true and we had a wonderful time. Jean and Robyn live right next door and were available to answer any questions promptly and were exceptionally kind and accommodating to us. I would HIGHLY recommend this condo ... the view and the comfort and amenities can't be beat. Thanks Jean and Robyn for sharing your bit of paradise with us!

It is always scary paying for a rental sight unseen but in this case it was everything they said. Our unit was #312. We only needed 1 bedroom but with 2 we had a place to just store our suitcases. The 2 bathrooms were very helpful and we enjoyed the huge shower. It was so nice to have windows facing both south and west to help with airflow. We loved the sound of the surf day and night. The rocking chair in the living room was great for my husband who has artificial knees. The kitchen had more than enough dinnerware etc. They provided fans as it was a fluke and California was experiencing hot weather. We loved the balcony with chairs to watch the fun on the ocean and admire the beautiful sunsets. The security gate was nice and parking underneath the units ideal. We loved the property had an oasis of flowers and trees and waterfalls which we could walk around. The walk on the beach and down to the nearby pier were so nice. We would surely stay here again.

Our family stayed in 3 of Jean's condos and they were fantastic! The grounds were beautiful, the location is perfect, access to the beach is amazing, pool was a blast, we would definitely come back and hope to in the future. Thank you!!

Our location in Oceanside is the perfect starting point for all of your Southern California adventures.

Legoland is only 15 minutes away..

45 minutes south to the San Diego Zoo, Sea World, Wild Animal Park, Museums at Balboa Park, and everything San Diego has to offer. Disneyland & Knott's Berry Farm are only 1 hour North from Oceanside.

A 2 hour drive and you can be at Universal Studios and Hollywood.

Take a leisurely drive south along Coast Hwy for unparalleled ocean views. Explore the quaint beach towns along the way with their unique shops and many excellent restaurants. La Jolla has tide-pools and Del Mar has the Ponies. A 45 min drive east on Hwy 76 will take you to the town of Temecula, where you can taste the local wineries and feel the excitement at Pechanga Casino!

A short walk across the bridge from North Coast Village ..... Oceanside Harbor and Marina offers a variety of eateries, a specialty coffee house, and unique shops. The Lighthouse Fish Market has fresh fish daily at reasonable prices. At the harbor you can sign your kids up for Surf Camp, learn to Paddleboard, rent a Kayak, schedule a Whale watching or Deep Sea fishing trip and bring home your own fresh caught dinner.

Every Thursday is MARKET DAY in Downtown Oceanside. The FARMERS MARKET (9AM to 1PM) offers Certified & Organic Fresh Produce, Baked Goods, Fresh Flowers, Handcrafts and Hot Foods (try the crepes!). The SUNSET MARKET (5-9 PM) is a family friendly festival every week. Hot Food from Around the World, Live Entertainment, Unique Crafts, Gourmet Treats.

Walk south along the Strand to the Pier where you can fish (no license required) and watch the surfers below.

Carlsbad offers free 'Concerts in the Park all summer. Oceanside has an annual Art Walk and is home to the Ironman and many other marathons and competitions. Activities abound... yet all the years my family has been coming here (30 yrs!) my kids tell me their favorite memories are of the days we packed a lunch, grabbed the beach towels and boogie boards and headed out the door, because here, the beach is your backyard.
