Great apartment in the middle of Epernay
This apartment is enormous, clean and well equipped. it is well situated in the middle of Epernay, but on quiet streets, so not too noisy. Parking is easy in the underground car park outside. The best part of the apartment is the roof top terrace with amazing views of Epernay and beyond. The bottle of champagne waiting for us was a welcome kind gesture. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Right in the center of Epernay, very spacious. Better for 6 adults than 8 because there are only 3 rooms.

Large and comfortable apartment
The apartment is very spacious, well maintained and ideally situated in centre of town. We were a party of six adults and two babies and the apartment allowed us all to have our own space, however the main living area was great for us to entertain the babies and have 'family time'. There were toys, travel cot and high chair provided........excellent ! The roof terrace is large and well equiped for outdoor eating and drinking. The location is superb for those who intend parking their car and enjoying a few tastings without the need to drive.
Philippe was very good at communicating promptly in very good English. Prior to our stay we had several queries which he dealt with admirably. I only met Philippe in person on the day of our departure and I found him very pleasant and polite. I would certainly recommend this property and its owner to anyone visiting this location.

Spacious and centrally located
We were 3 couples staying at this spacious apartment. It has 3 large double rooms, a spacious open-plan lounge/diner/kitchen. The bathroom is also large with a bath, walk-in shower, heated towel-rail and additional storage/wardrobe space. A set of stairs lead up to the fantastic terrace (there is also a small utility room with a sink). There is a large wooden table and chairs, plus lots of loungers, weather permitting, it is a great place to eat, drink and relax. There is also an awning if the sun gets too much, or protect you in case of a shower. There is an electric grill in the utility room , but it is quite small - probably only suitable for cooking some snacks, certainly not food for 6.
We found the owner to be very helpful and friendly, and was very responsive to messages and queries.
The flat is located right on Place Hugo Plomb above a bike shop (entrance is down a side road). We purchased a weeks parking in the underground car-park whose entrance is close to the apartment which cost us only 23 Euros for the week (you can come and go as often as you like). I believe you have to purchase the weekly ticket when you arrive (i.e. not sure if you can do it the next day), and is purchased from the office at the top of the stairs as you come out of the pedestrian exit (think it is closed Sundays). You have a small Carrefour opposite the flat, and loads of butchers, bakers, delis, grocers, etc. nearby. You are also close to loads of bars, restaurant, and a short walk from the avenue of Champagne (where the Tourist Office is also).
The kitchen has an oven and induction hob - which we were forced to master due to the lack of a kettle, unfortunately the instructions came in every language bar English - suffice to say we now know that the pan must cover the entire "ring" or it won't work !. There is also a dishwasher, but no washing machine. We ended up buying a kettle (and teapot) which we left behind (hopefully the owner will continue to provide a kettle).
So great location, spacious and friendly owner, but there are a few things that could be improved.
2 bedrooms have large wardrobes, to 3rd has no hanging space at all, not even a hook on the back of the door, although there is plenty of space for a rail or wardrobe.
There is a mirror in the bathroom, and one by the front door, but not one of the bedrooms has a mirror ?
The bathroom is a bit dark, as the only light in there is the one round the mirror
- could all be improved at low cost

This property is located in the heart of the town. All amenities, including grocery store and champagne houses are within walking distance which allowed us to park the car and then forget about it. The apartment is a good size although more seating in the living room would be nice. The apartment comes with exclusive use of a rooftop patio which would be fabulous in the warmer months. Beds are quite firm which good be good or bad depending on your preference.
Pro: location, size, patio, kitchen is small but has everything needed to cook full meals, shower/bath room is giant in size
Cons: double bed (not Queen) was pretty small, very steep two flights to get to apartment (you do get used to them though), shower is moldy

Visit the houses, cellars and vineyards of Champagne (registered since July 2015 World Heritage of UNESCO) ... and of course the very famous Avenue de Champagne, which is just 100 meters from the apartment!
