Many thanks for letting us stay in your very tidy and well equipped cottage. The road to get here is adventurous!! But the view is astonishing. Your cottage is highly recommendable.
Had a very comfortable and pleasant stay at Kenmare Cottage. Cottage was spotless and in a lovely peaceful location with lovely view and everything there to make our stay comfortable. Owners were very friendly and helpful. Five stars all round and we hope to visit again in the future. Only downside was the misty weather (which we were told was most unusual) so could not enjoy the splendid view from the cottage to the full. Hope to have better luck next time!
Beautiful well maintained and equipped property both inside & out very peaceful and unspoilt location. Friendly helpful owners .close to excellent shops and restaurants with home made produce . Great location for travelling.
I have always dreamed of a trip to Ireland. This home and area far exceeded our expectations. Close to so many attractions - absolutely loved Killarney National Park, Dingle, Ring of Kerry, Muckross House and Celtic music at a downtown pub. All within driving distance from this well cared for home. Thank you Margaret for your hospitality and making our stay so very enjoyable. Hope to see you again.
The cottage is modern, well appointed and equipped with everything you will need for your stay! Any problems are dealt with promptly by the owners, and the views across the water to the mountains are stunning! The cottage is warm and cosy, with a multi-fuel stove should the evenings be chilly, electric blankets, heaters in every room, and a modern kitchen, with W/M, tumbledrier, M/W, oven, toaster etc. There is no phone, and no transport so a car is essential, and a mobile! Everything is well maintained and clean. Enjoy!
This was our first time in Ireland and first experience of self catering accommodation. All I can say was it was amazing.
The cottage was absolutely beautiful and spotless. It had everything you needed and more. Margaret gave us directions to get from the ferry and they were so helpful. On arrival Margaret met us and showed us to our cottage and showed us how everything worked.
The view from the cottage was stunning and it was lovely to sit an look over the water towards the mountains.
Margaret told us the best routes to take on sightseeing and we were not disappointed. The Ring of Beara is amazing.
We are looking forward to going back next year and do more sightseeing.
I would certainly recommend these holiday cottages. Margaret & Dave were very friendly and so helpful
A quiet and peaceful setting with one of the best breathtaking views overlooking Kenmare Bay, the MacGillycuddy Reeks and Caha Mountains. Situated 7kms from Kenmare - known as the jewel on the Ring of Kerry, one of the most attractive towns in Ireland, which bustles with over 30 restaurants, bars and craft shops and a host of activities for your enjoyment. Touring the surrounding areas from Kerford is a pleasure not to be missed. The famed Ring of Kerry with its breathtaking views is complimented by the equally majestic Ring of Beara. Short enchanting drives to places like Gleninchaquin Falls, Cloonee Lakes, Dereen Gardens, Healy Pass, Glengariff, Garnish Island and the Caha Pass will all leave lifelong memories. Kenmare boasts an excellent 18hole golf course and also the Ring Of Kerry Golf and Country Club. Fishing the many rivers and lakes, or even deep-sea angling, will prove to be rewarding. Our cottages are on the Wild Atlantic Way so if you are doing the journey we are a good destination for the South West part of it.
