About The Owner

Christina and John Lynch own and manage this property. We used to live in the condo prior to having kids...so we can tell you it is a great place to enjoy Annapolis from...and the views aren't bad either.

The Owner purchased this condo in 2001

Why The Owner chose Annapolis

Annapolis is a historic town surrounded by the Chesapeake Bay and Severn River.

It has the amenities of a big town all walkable within the historic district.

Plus, the Naval Academy and St. John's College add culture and excitement to the town.

What makes this condo unique

The view from deck at night is a favorite spot to view Historic Annapolis. Guests of our

condo love the ability to walk out the door and be in the middle of the Historic District.

The Naval Academy and City Dock area are a nice walk down Main Street.

Great location!

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here for our daughter's wedding in late August at the Academy. The location was wonderful - right off Main St so very easy to access downtown Annapolis. We had good luck with parking and with the exception of Saturday, we were able to park right at front at meters. On Saturday, we used the garage which is directly across the street.

The unit was a good size and easily accommodated our group which ranged from 3 to 6 depending on the night. We even had all the bridal party over before the wedding and although bathroom space was limited, we had plenty of room for the 8 bridesmaids,3 flower girls, bride and parents. We made good use of the very large deck right off of living room.

The owners were very accommodating with our schedule allowing us to check in early. We had a little snafu on getting into the unit but the owners made up for it. We didn't have any issues while we were there, but I feel confident that if we had, the owners would have been right on top of it.

The biggest drawback was the 2 flights of stairs to get to the unit. It wouldn't have been too much of an issue, but we had lots to carry since we were making welcome bags for guests and had a lot of wedding related items and comings and goings. We just focused on the positive - the exercise we got on all those trips up and down the stairs and how it would allow us to fit into our wedding clothes better!

All of the properties downtown are old and therefore, the floors were pretty creaky. There's no way to get up during the night without waking others but we were usually too tired to care! Otherwise, we heard almost no noise from others and just a little from the nearby bars on Friday and Saturday nights.

Overall, I would definitely stay here again. We love Annapolis and the location of this unit can't be beat!

Pros-

fabulous location

good sized unit

easy to deal with owners

large deck with a great view of the Capital

Cons-

2 flights of stairs to get to unit

very creaky floors

very small bathroom on main floor

Owner's Response: Hi Susan, Thanks for the review. I am so sorry I lost track of time to allow your group an early check in. My apologies again. And your right, wood floors in the Historic District are the norm, and can be creaky and part of the historic charm of Annapolis! We appreciate your staying with us. Christina

Great location!!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here for a week - the location is perfect. Just steps away from Main Street and less than 5 minute walk to Gate 1 of USNA. Also diagonally across the street from the rear entrance to Chick & Ruth's - which was nice for take out.

John and Christina were wonderful to work with. The house was very clean and comfortable. Kitchen was stocked with plenty of pots, pans, dishes and spices. The beds were really comfortable too!! The deck is awesome - a great outdoor space with a cool view of the state building.

Would definitely recommend this property to folks looking to be close to USNA, Main Street or the waterfront area. Before we arrived I was a little concerned about two things (1) the parking situation and (2) the stairs to climb since this is located on the 3rd and 4th floors. Honestly neither of those were an issue! Parking was a breeze because the public garage is a block away - really, we could see our car from one of the bedroom windows - that's how close it is. The steps weren't a problem for my family but something to think about if you're traveling with folks who have mobility issues.

Overall I can't imagine a better location or more comfortable place to stay. We were visiting our son for Plebe Parents Weekend at the Naval Avademy and walked many times back and forth from this home to gate 1. So easy! We loved our week here and look forward to visiting again!

Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

This is a great condo located one -half block from Main Street and several blocks to the waterfront. We loved the deck and used it every morning. I would highly recommend this for a girls' weekend. We felt perfectly safe walking in the area at night. The owners were wonderful and accommodating to our check-in time request and any questions we had. Thank you to the owners!! I would return in a second.

Lovely house in a prime location

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I and our 4 kids stayed here for 3 nights on our way to North Carolina in July. John and Christina are extremely friendly and helpful hosts and were only a phone call away if we needed anything. Which we didn't as we found the house to be well stocked with everything for our needs. We did eat out every night so didn't use the kitchen much other than for breakfast.

The house is very well located and only a moment's walk from the Main Street and great choice of shops and restaurants.

The house is a good size and there was plenty of space for all of us. The roof terrace is lovely with great views of Maryland State House.

We loved Annapolis and thoroughly enjoyed our stay here

Fantastic location, comfortable stay!

  • 4 of 5

The condo is in a perfect location for easy walking access to shops, historic buildings, the city dock, and the US Naval Academy. The size of the condo was very comfortable for the 6 adults in our group. John and Christina were very helpful hosts - when there was anything we needed (such as extra toilet paper and dish soap), they were easy to contact by text and dropped off the needed supplies within 12 hours. The only inconvenient aspect was that the kitchen was not extremely well-stocked; we cooked most of our meals at the condo in order to save money, and the kitchen only had one small mixing bowl and no cutting boards. We made do just fine with what was there, though, and the living space, bedrooms, and bathrooms were more than sufficient. We had a wonderful stay! Of particular recommendation nearby: The Annapolis Pottery Shop, Annapolis Ice Cream Company, and Hats in the Belfry. :)

Owner's Response: Thanks for staying with us. We appreciate your comments about the kitchen. We make every effort to maintain a kitchen stocked with basic cooking and cleaning items. We apologize and will immediately take stock of any items like bowls that may be missing. Thanks again, Christina and John
