We had a wonderful time at this cabin! The views are beautiful and the cabin had everything we needed! The kitchen is especially well-stocked...it had everything, and more! The hot tub on the deck overlooks the beautiful mountains, and unlike some other hot tubs at rentals, this one was very clean and well-maintained. We had the pleasure of watching a little ground hog outside the kitchen window each day. Cute little thing! We took our dog and she was very comfortable and enjoyed the cabin much as we did. The owner, Geoff, and the property management were super nice and very pleasant to do business with! We will definitely be back!
We enjoyed our stay for Valentine's Day/President's Day weekend. Geoff (the owner) and John (from the rental company) were incredible and would get 5+ stars. The only reason I would not give this cabin a 5 star is the bathroom set up. The master and another bedroom shared the downstairs bathroom. The downstairs bathroom didn't compare to the quality of the rest of the cabin. The upstairs bathroom was very cute and quaint. We also had no pillow cases for the futon or trundle or sleeper sofa sheets. The kitchen was extremely well stocked and we ate most all meals in the cabin. We were excited to wake up the first morning to snow. Even though the road up to the cabin is steep, it was well treated so snow did not stick to the road up. The drive was short (20 minutes) to Cataloochee ski area which was a main reason we were coming. The hot tub was very nice and the view was beautiful. We did have a fire in the pit outside even though the temperatures were extremely cold the weekend we stayed (17 degrees the night we built the fire). The gas fireplace inside was great since we kept it going almost the entire time. The cathedral ceilings in the great room are beautiful. There were plenty of board games and the kids enjoyed air hockey and foosball. The game room upstairs is loud if kids are up early and you are trying to sleep in the master bedroom because it is right over the master. My favorite part was the wall of windows and cathedral ceilings in the great room with a beautiful view of the distant mountain ranges.
We loved this cabin, it was perfect in every way and the views were amazing. Friday we went and drove on the Blue Ridge Parkway and seen the most beautiful sights. We took the Devils Stair Case and it was magical, with the fall colors of raining leafs. We also went though the wheels of time, which we all enjoyed. Saturday we explored the Biltmore(such a fairly tale)and of course tried every wine on the list. Legends was a great little local sports bar that we stopped at to watch the Florida Gator game and I was very surprised to see so many Florida fans. We did however finish the 2nd half at the cabin on the radio in the truck by the firepit!! Sunday we drove to Cherokee and went exploring. We did stop for an hour at the casino but no luck:(
This cabin is in a great location. It's a short trip in any direction to see so many amazing sights! I will definitely come back to this same cabin for my next trip to the Smokey Mountains! The owner Geoff and the Property Manager John were very accommodating, personable as well as helpful! I would recommend this cabin to anyone!
Thank you for the great hospitality and sharing your"Gem". We're already talking about coming back up next spring or summer with my son.
Everything was perfect. This is truly a home away from home. We had such an amazing time at the cabin, we didn't want to leave. The view was mesmerizing. The cabin was far enough from everything but close enough to everything at the same time. We even saw bears in the neighborhood! Would definitely recommend and we will be back!
Clean cabin with plenty of space! Level driveway and 2 bedrooms on the main floor so easily accessible. Cabin has everything you need to cook and entertain and wi-fi was reliable. Hot tub was clean and fire pit was a nice addition. It has a washer and dryer which is lovely so you don't have to bring all your dirty clothes home with you! Close by area attractions but has a small town feel to it.
