Our Wailea, Maui villa has lovely ocean views from the lanai that will captivate you as you have your morning coffee or tea; or catch the sunset in the evening after a day of sightseeing, golf or a relaxing day at the beach or pool. The villa is very spacious (1022 square feet inside, plus 2 covered fully tiled lanais with 374 square feet outside) and faces an expansive lush garden area lined with lovely palm trees stretching out to the ocean. This is considered one of the most desirable one bedroom villas at the Palms because of it's beautiful ocean views, 2 lanais, and close proximity to the pool and clubhouse.
The villa was remodeled in August/September of 2008, and offers our guests a truly tropical haven. Furnishings are 'Tommy Bahama' style. New larger capacity washer/dryer was added in late 2014, as well as a new pass through slide window in kitchen that opens to the dining lanai, and larger recessed lighting in kitchen. In June 2015 all new Stainless Steel appliances were installed in the kitchen. There is 20 inch porcelain tile throughout the villa, with ceiling fans in master bedroom and living room and dining area. There are also two separate air conditioners for those that want to stay even cooler in the master bedroom and living room. There is a 42' plasma television in living area, and a 36' television in the bedroom. DVD/VCR player and CD player and ipod dock with stereo in living area. Portable telephone with free calls to U.S. and Canada included. Wi Fi is included in the villa, as well as at the pool area. Also added is our special guest cabinet stocked with spices, foil wrap, plastic wrap, napkins, tea, coffee filters, condiments (small packets) and a cooler for the beach. There are also boogie boards and beach chairs for use at the beach. Beach towels are provided at the front desk, and can be used at the pool or beach. We have two outdoor lanai's. A lounging lanai with two new lounge chairs and a table, and a dining lanai with a table for four that has counter height chairs to take in the breathtaking views of the ocean. There is also a gas BBQ grill on the lanai if you want to cook your meals at home.
The whale shaped pool with jacuzzi is surrounded by palms, and has stunning views of the ocean. Just a two minutes drive away are the Shops at Wailea, featuring Gucci, Coach, Longhi's Restaurant, Tommy Bahama's store and restaurant, and Ruth's Chris Steak House.
Also, only two minutes away by car (5-6 min. walk), is Keawakapu Beach with one-half mile of soft white sand, two entrances and three free parking lots. This is a great swimming and snorkeling family beach complete with bars and restaurants at the end of the beach. We love the snorkeling at Ulua/Mokapu Beach - very close to our villa in Wailea. The entrance is right next to the parking lot at the new Andaz Hotel. (It is where the old Renaissance Hotel used to be.) If you go to the Andaz, try their grilled lobster sandwich on sourdough bread - it is amazing. It's served at the Bumbye Beach bar/restaurant outside by the pool. In the evening by the upper pool they have live music, and it is a very romantic setting with the infinity pools stretching out to the ocean from the bar patio.
Wailea is a planned community, and is Maui's treasure on the south end of the island. It has the best climate in Maui with annual rainfall of 10 inches, compared to Kaanapali's 29 inches. The average high temperatures range from 80 degrees to 89 degrees.
Golfing in the Wailea area is spectacular. Wailea boasts 3 golf courses, one of which has hosted the Wendy's Senior Skins game. Or, try the Maui Nui Golf Course in Kihei - very reasonable rates! Nearby, Makena is the home of Big Beach. It is famous for its body surfing and boogie boarding. Pack a picnic lunch, a beach umbrella and make an afternoon of it at Big Beach!
Check with the activity desk in the lobby, and book any of the many activities offered on the island. The activity desk offers golf discounts in Wailea. We provide you with a list of very good restaurants as options to go to when you book - as well as some of our guest's favorites.
There is lots to do in Wailea, so you don't have too go far for great food and world renown spas. Treat yourself to an afternoon at the spa at the Grand Wailea, dinner at Nick's Fishmarket restaurant at the Fairmont Hotel, Wolfgang Puck Spago's restaurant at the Four Seasons or for fun and live music - go to the Monkeypod - it's a Merriman's restaurant. These are a few of our favorite places.
Distances by Car:

Shops at Wailea - 2 minutes
Grand Wailea Hotel & Spa 2.5 minutes
Five Palms and Sarento's Restaurants - 2 minutes (romantic beach dinners)

We have traveled to Hawaii nearly every year for the past 25 years and found that Wailea was our haven, so in 2007 we bought our little piece of paradise to visit each year, and fall more in love with the islands each time we do. We have lived in Northern California for the past 30 years, but Wailea is our home away from home and we extend our warm aloha welcome to you. May you enjoy the Palms and Wailea as much as we do. Mornings and evenings on the lanai are the perfect way to start and end the day. We love sitting on the lanai in the morning enjoying a cup of coffee and gazing at the calm ocean, listening to the birds, and enjoying the aroma of the flowers in paradise. In the evening, we love to sit out with a drink and watch the sunset. It is spectacular. Later, we enjoy an evening of barbecuing on the lanai, and having a peaceful dinner with island music in the background - then a dip in the pool or spa.
We are so lucky to have found this place! It completely blew away all of our expectations and was the perfect place for us.
It is very spacious, the location is amazing, the views are great, clean and comfortable-- and more.
I typically prefer to stay in hotels and have not stayed in a condo before. This place has changed me! :-)
Spent the final 3 days of our Hawaii adventure at this Wailea condo. Everything was perfect and organized in this home along with being clean and fresh. The home was set with updated furniture, appliances, and decor, a real treat. The two lanai' were perfect...one for relaxing and the other for morning coffee or dinner with an ocean view. The owners were very helpful in our requests for more information and willing to work with us to accommodate our schedule. This condo area makes you feel like your at an exclusive resort with the pool right below your condo and the setting was breathtaking. Don't forget to eat at Monkeypod resturant not 5 minutes away for an awesome meal. I whole heartedly recommend this location to anyone looking to stay in the Wailea region.
We have stayed in this condo every year for the past several years. It's in a great location in the resort which is in a great location on the island. Shopping, fantastic beaches and an abundance of restaurants are within minutes. We had breakfast on our lanai almost every morning with a beautiful view of the grounds and the ocean in the background. The owner goes out of his way to make sure you are taken care of and provides the comforts of home. All kitchen appliances are new as well as the washer/dryer. We have rented numerous properties in the U.S. over the years and this is at the very top of our list.
A fantastic home to really relax at, very clean & very comfortable. It has a beautiful view of the ocean from the lanai. You are close to the pool and spa. Also very close to some of the best beaches on Maui. The property is close to great restaurants and shopping as well. The kitchen was great for cooking, very nice appliances, with just about everything you need for a variety of meals. I highly recommend this property.
What a wonderful place to stay! More than enough space for 2-4 to sleep and kick back comfortably. Love the views of the ocean, swimming pool, and lush garden area from every window. It must be one of the only condos in the community with views like that. Better yet, take in the view from the private lanai patio while sipping a cup of coffee or cooking dinner on the grill. Very relaxing. Also great that it's so close to the pool, which makes it easy to take a quick dip or get some sun without venturing out to one of the nearby beaches (recommend Big Beach!). That said, making the easy walk down to Wailea beach was one of our favorite ways to start or end each day. And when you want a break from exploring the further reaches of the island, there are lots of great options for dining and drinks within short driving distance... Now writing this is making me want to go back!
What a magical home in Maui!! The minute we walked in the door, we were wowed by the place. First of all, the lanai area is the BEST EVER! You open the glass door and you have this incredible view of the ocean and lush landscape. Even better, you can cook lots of Hawaiian fish on the grill that's provided. There's a pass through from the kitchen to the lanai which also comes in handy because friends and family can easily cook and relax at the same time.... As for things to do, we weren't able to get to all the activities we wanted to do because there's tons to do. The condo has beach chairs, umbrellas, coolers, flippers, golf clubs, and lots of other gear to use. We loved exploring all the different beaches. Some were great for relaxing, others were perfect for snorkeling. Definitely use the Palms concierge to help plan some special outings. We went for the Molokini and Lana'i Snorkeling Trip. Fun! The pool and hot tub are close by and very inviting too. We LOVED our trip and were so warmed by the Aloha spirit everyone had here. The owners were awesome and provided lots of advice and ideas. We can't wait to go back again.
