I am a 41 year old Belgian. We bought this apartment as an investment and at the same time ensure our old days in the sun. I arranged this apartment as if I lived there while putting all the necessary comfort. With the years, I would even install a quality home theater system and other amenities to make the apartment even more comfortable, especially for long term rentals. I want the customer who comes to the apartment to feel at home and lacks nothing.

Our choice is focused on this apartment for three reasons. 1) The setting of the Duquesa Village with its 5 pools, 1 tennis court, and these Andalusian style apartment blocks made us feel like in a holiday village, you really feel at home. 2) The quality and finish of the building, these large windows, as well as its terrace of 18 m² overlooking a 180 ° panorama of the mountain, houses typical styles of Andalusia, and the sea is really charming. 3) proximity to the marina, beaches, shops, restaurants and other major cities such as Estépona, Marbella or Malaga offers plenty of tourist opportunities.

A lovely clean apartment
We stayed a month at this apartment, we arrived early evening after collecting the keys from Duquesa estates office and easily found the apartment and its designated parking place, from the garage there is a lift to the ground floor. The apartment was very clean and the kitchen fully equipped for our needs. The beds were comfortable and bedding good quality. The terrace has a partial sea view and at this time of the year only gets the morning sun until 10am so it can feel a bit cool inside, the heating system works well and soon warms the apartment if needed. We enjoyed walking down to the picturesque Duquesa Port and the various restaurants and beaches, there is a Mercadona and Lidl a short drive away. We recommend going to Rafaels a Spanish restaurant in Manilva. We totally enjoyed our stay and will return again.
A Lovely Holiday Apartment with Good Views
Located in hilly area of Duquesa Village, this apartment is tailor made for a family holidaying in the beautiful Andalucia region of southern Spain. The 2-bedroom apartment with en-suite facilities is well equipped with all the modern amenities, and have access to a number of swimming pools.
We spent 28 days in February enjoying many days of sunshine and relaxing by the marina which is about 2 km walk from the apartment. There is a sizeable British expatriate community in the area and there are many bars and restaurants to sample different types of cuisine. The theme was relaxation but it was worth the visits to nearby Estopona and Gibraltar. We did not have a car so we walked down to the marina everyday and hired a taxi to return to the apartment in the evening (cost 7 euros per day from marina). A family of 4 holidaying at this apartment is well advised to hire a car locally as the Duquesa Village is sited on top of a steep hill.
There are no English channels on TV and my advice is to bring a laptop for downloading/or streaming films or to check the news back at home. For those who want to travel to and from Malaga airport, I recommend the local taxi firm Happy Transfers (Tel: 659451630) which charges 90 euros each way to transport a family.
The owner of the apartment, Mr. Gaillard, has dealt with some issues, that have cropped up during our stay, efficiently and promptly. The next door neighbours Bill and Carol, who live permanently in the village, were welcoming and friendly. This is an apartment I can recommend as it was good value for money and made a very comfortable stay.

Great family appartment. Fantastic facilities
The property was exactly what we were looking for, modern appliances and FAST WiFi. Apartment was clean and comfortable throughout! The only thing I would add to the property was a cafetiere as the pods for the coffee machine were not sold at the local supermarket.. but don’t take that away from the fantastic week we had and look forward to returning. The owner was fast with returning messages and answering any questions we had. Thank you again!

I think the pods are sold to Lidl along the N5 at the Sabelinas exit.
Next year I will be equipping the apartment with a Senseo coffee maker.

nice size clean modern apartment
very modern contemporary sizeable accommodation. all facilities a family could want. hilly location. choice of 5 large pool very clean. it states as a ground floor apartment which is true at the rear but the front has a low balcony above the garage block and due to being on a hill has a drop to the gardens below therefore would be a concern for a very young family. safe and secure clean site. air conditioning only runs for 2 hrs at a time and needs to be reset which can be inconvenient during the night and not that efficient at cooling. overall a very nice apartment in a good location
