This spectacular split-storey house, situated on the banks of the Lake, offers a homely base for you to enjoy your holiday from. The views of Chapman’s Peak, enclosed swimming pool and direct lake access, all means this is more than just a home away from home.
The actual house is split, with a double-storey section that houses the 4 double bedrooms (3 of which have en-suite bathrooms) and a guest toilet. The upstairs master bedroom has a balcony and provides stunning views of the surrounding hills.
Between the sleeping quarters and the lake facing lounge and terrace area, is the solar heated courtyard pool with a wooden decking. The design is optimized for maximum sun, and makes a wonderful location to laze away those windier days on the provided sun loungers.
The open plan dining, living and kitchen area, provides a light and airy space where you may be surprised to find yourself spending much or your time. Depending on the time of year and weather conditions, either open the whole house to the elements and enjoy the scenery or on wintery nights close everything up, light the fire and use the indoor barbeque.
Relax here and enjoys the garden, lake and mountain views or use the rubber dinghy boat with electric motor and enjoy the sunsets or sundowners on the lake. If you have children, then they are welcome to use the table tennis equipment.
The kitchen and separate scullery comes fully equipped with washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge/freezer inc. ice machine and dishwasher. It also comes with a Nespresso coffee machine , so don’t forget to bring your own capsules.
A separate TV/Playroom, also opens up to the garden and includes both satellite and Apple TV, a DVD and Iphone/Ipod docking station for your music.
The double garage leads straight into the house.
We booked this villa after viewing the photos which do not do the house justice. The villa is enormous and was perfect for our group. We were two families each comprising of a couple and a one year old. The enclosed pool was perfect and the babies had a great time walking/crawling around the expanse of the villa. Once the babies were asleep in the evenings we were far enough away from them not to disturb them in the games/brai room, it was perfect. The villa was spotless and the cleaner did a fabulous job. It was like staying in a hotel, but much more relaxed and comfortable. Christine was the perfect host. Answering all my questions very quickly. She provided cots and high chairs, making the transition abroad very easy. The area the villa is in is incredibly safe, and you feel very secure there. The lake is gorgeous. I really can't praise this place enough and we book it again in an instant if (when!) we return. The villa was modern and spacious and romantic. All the kitchen appliances were top quality. Highly highly recommended and exceptional value for money.

Noordhoek is approximately 15km south of Cape Town at the foot of the magical Chapman’s Peak.
Here are some destinations in the surrounding area which are recommended.
W&A Waterfront, Cape Town, 35 to 45 minutes drive: A perfect destination for a full day out. With a wide range of shops and restaurants, the overall experience is enhanced by being at the centre of the hustle and bustle of a working harbour and the wonderful views of Table Mountain. This is also the departure point for a number of tours, including boat trips to Robben Island and helicopter rides.
Boulders Bay, Simons Town, Well worth a day visit and you’ll never see a place quite like this again. A large colony of African Penguins ‘share’ the beach and swimming areas with tourists and locals alike. Take your towel and sun-cream and look forward to experiencing something a little different from the norm.
Have lunch at the Black Marlin in Simon’s Town.
Cape Point Nature Reserve, very impressive scenery, where The Indian and Atlantic Ocean converge.
Glencairn Beach, Water’s edge beach in Simons Town or Misty Cliff are fantastic places for your hot sunny beach days.
Don t miss a fish and chips experience in Simon’s Town.
The Constantia Wine route offers beautiful scenery, great restaurants with wine tasting or have a picnic in very picturesque environment.
Long Beach: Over 8 Km’s of unspoiled beach stretches out from Chapmans Peak to Kommetjie lighthouse. The closest and easiest access to the beach from Lake Michelle is a short drive away. Once on the beach, walking, surfing, kite surfing and horse riding are all popular activities.
Noordhoek Village: Noordhoek Village offers a range of art and craft shops, excellent restaurants like the Foodbarn, bakeries and other activities. With the village feel and children’s play areas, I doubt you’ll only end up visiting once.
Cycling: Whatever your standard, there are a range of on and off road cycling options available. South Africans spend more per person on cycling than any other country in the world and once you have been over Chapman’s Peak or traversed Cape Point National Park you’ll understand why.
