The apartment is in Paseo del Borne, exclusive old town area of Palma

The apartment

The whole apartment is with original wooden beams, parquet floors in wengue color fully combining the living room with original hydraulic tiles home.

The front door leads to the kitchen that has all stainless steel furniture and is fully equipped with quality appliances (washer-dryer, oven, SMEG retro fridge, induction hob, microwave, dishwasher, Nespresso machine, all type of utensils for cooking.

The living-dining room is bright with two large doors overlooking the balcony with the best views of the monumental cathedral and other buildings representative of the island, and consists of a wide sofa of natural leather with chaise-longe, low table (convertible to eat comfortably on the couch), dining table and chairs designed by Philippe Starck Louis Ghost for Kartell.

Also includes a 52-inch TV with cable TV.

The bedroom and bathroom are on the back of the apartment.

The bedroom has a latex bed 1,60 x2,00m, 23-inch TV, Kartell lamp design and a large closet and the bathroom has a small shower, but very comfortable with toilet and hair dryer

The apartment also has air conditioner / heating.

I think this apartment is the perfect choice for enjoying the city of Palma and the rest of the island.

The location is the best of Palma, with best views of the cathedral, the Palace March and the Royal Palace of La Almudaina.

Nearly all fashion shops to be on the same street as the apartment (Louis Vuitton, Hugo Boss, Uterque, Zara, H & M, Prada, Moncler are several of the many signatures and marks on the Paseo del Borne , all within walking 50-100 meters).

Also located near one of the most important areas of restaurants throughout the island as 'LA LONJA' whith the best restaurants and bars offering Palma, having a wide variety of tapas restaurants, Italian cuisine, wine bars, seafood, paella, etc ... as well as one of the best night spots, with the best cocktails in Palma (within 100 meters walking).

It also emphasizes its proximity to the sea and several beaches on the seafront of Palma (1km walking), meets all the requirements and benefits of being in the best area.

Taxis and bus stop just below the apartment.

Superb Location

The location could not have been better, with easy access to Palma old town and transport to other parts of the Island. We made use of local buses to and from the airport, and to several locations across Majorca, starting from the central bus station. We particularly enjoyed the villages of Valldemossa and Deia and the sanctuary of Puig de Maria The later requires a 45 minute steady climb but well worth it for the views and the almond cake.

So pleased with my pick of this location.

First of all just coming from an Apartment in Madrid where the owner was so unresponsive to us. It was a total pleasure having Toni as our new owner. He responded to our arrival call in a few minutes. He made sure that We knew how to use everything and sent us restaurant information. When we had a problem with WiFi start up. He returned and took care of the problem.

As in previous reviews .....there are 22 steps. When the door opens you step into a beautiful modern and very well equipped kitchen. You will not be disappointed in the view from your balcony. The fountain and Cathedral are your view as you sit on the comfortable leather sofa. The bedroom is in the back and has nice bedding large closets and plenty of hangers.Very quiet also. Storage in the bathroom is a bonus. When you are traveling for a month. Things like plenty of storage and well equipped kitchen are important.

The location worked for us. Close to everything and many restaurants. The market for essentials was right around the corner.

Great apartment and location!

The apartment is in a fantastic location, we'd never been to Palma, but we'd certainly recommend the Old Town, and if you want a smart apartment at the centre of it all, again, we'd recommend this apartment. The steps are steep and it's in a noisy location, but we thought that added to the charm, and the bedroom is located right at the back so there's no noise! Toni the owner from the start was incredibly helpful and always quick to respond. We would absolutely stay again.

Superb Apartment and Perfect Weather

Toni's very modern and splendidly equipped apartment on the Placa del Reina could not have been more ideally located. It was exactly what we had expected from the published photographs. The view across the Placa was of fountains playing below the commanding sight of the cathedral.

On arrival, we were greeted by Toni who told us much that we needed to know about nearby parking, quality restaurants and shops for essential provisions. The apartment was spotlessly clean and all equipment was fully functional. It is approached by a rather steep staircase of 21 steps but even as a 77 year-old I did not find it too difficult to climb. I am unhesitating in recommending this property to others.

Our two-week holiday was in January and we were fortunate in experiencing only one wet day. All the others were bright and sunny with temperatures in the 'teens.

The City of Palma has a lot to offer, most notably the magnificent cathedral and the near-by royal palace. The Mercat de l'Olivar is a must to visit and a delightful venue for lunches of tapas, sushi or oysters. A week exploring the city on foot before hiring a car to visit the many attractive destinations that the island affords was well spent. However, during that week, two days were spent visiting Manacor and Sa Pobla by train. Visitors to the island are largely unaware of the excellent, regular, modern railway system that connects these two towns to Palma. Both are worth visiting. Manacor is famed for its 'pearl' industry and Sa Pobla is just a delightful town of narrow streets and a slow pace of life. For those who enjoy good food and wines, a short taxi ride from Manacor railway station is the Moli den Sopa restaurant, open every day of the year offering superb cuisine at reasonable prices.

Back in Palma, we used two restaurants: La Cueva just around the corner from the apartment offers traditional tapas; Tast, just a five minute walk away offers excellent modern tapas. We recommend both though there are many other restaurants within easy walking distance.
