Our roomy Hunting Lodge can be your home away from home while you visit the beautiful Black Hills. Your hosts are two former Park Rangers who are happy to help you discover the incredible scenery and history of this amazing area.
The Hunting Lodge is able to sleep up to ten people featuring two private bedrooms on the main floor, each with a queen bed. Upstairs in the open loft area are two full-sized beds and plenty of play-space for children. The main floor living room has two sofas including a queen-sized sofa sleeper. The kitchen comes equipped with a full-sized refrigerator, stove/oven, dining table, cookware, and table settings for ten people. There is a charcoal grill out on the deck that overlooks French Creek Park.
This cabin offers one full bathroom as well as a private bathroom with a shower off the master bedroom.
The Hunting Lodge amenities include bed linens, towels for your use in the cabin and next door at the hot tub, heat, A/C, WIFI, and cable (3 TVs).
Black Elk Peak (formerly known as Harney Peak), the Cathedral Spires, and Buckhorn Mountain are all visible from the deck of this homey cabin. Located just two blocks from down town Custer, the Hunting Lodge is bordered on two sides by city parks. French Creek Park is complete with play structures, covered picnic areas, elevated grills, French Creek, and the much-celebrated Michelson Trail--a one hundred and nine mile walking and bike path that winds its way through the beautiful Black Hills.
Complementary city pool passes, tennis courts, sand volleyball courts, skate park, horseshoe pits, hiking trails, and an 18 hole disc golf course are all within four blocks of our Lodge. Hot tub access is also available next door at the Shady Rest Motel from May thru September.
