Barcelona is such a great city! We both visited Barcelona before we met and had an instant love affair with the city and its people. We wanted to buy an apartment which we could use to explore Barcelona and experience the sights, sounds and aromas that make Barcelona such a great place to visit. There is no place so emblematic than Barcelona's Gothic Quarter and we chose an apartment that gives us the comfort of home within walking distance to all the sights in the historic part of the city.
We love strolling over to the famous Ramblas and visiting the incredible La Boqueria market which recently celebrated its 150th anniversary - unique in all of Europe. Some of our favorite restaurants are just minutes away by foot or taxi. We love walking along the boardwalk on the Barceloneta beach at sunset.
Great apartment in a very central location. Thanks for having us!
We had a great time at the property in the Gotic area. It was central to everything, it was exactly as described, Juan met us when we arrived and when we left, got us a taxi for early in the morning. The owners and Sara were very helpful with the different logistical planning we did before arrival. Would stay there again anytime.
We were 4 "senior" adults and found this apartment to be an excellent choice for our 5 days in Barcelona. The apartment is charming and well kept with spacious living room, bedrooms and bathrooms and most modern conveniences. Its location in an old building in the Gothic area dictated its front to back design with the only windows and doors to a balcony on the front overlooking the narrow street. Nonetheless, the apartment had lots of light. Although street noises from the various shops and pubs generally lasted until late in the night (early am), the balcony doors and shutters, when closed, filtered out most of the noise and noise did not bother sleepers in the bedrooms at the back of the apartment.
The location was perfect-- we felt safe and within walking distance to just about everywhere. We had a terrific guide take us to Sagrada Familia and Park Guell which was out of walking range for us oldies, and we took a Segway tour of the waterfront area. We would certainly recommend this property especially to those who like to be near the center of activity and who like to walk about.
It was a perfect place. We will come again if time and money will allow.
Barcelona was our first stop on a multi-city tour and it set the standard that all others were measured to. Super convenient location, wonderful living room for our group of 4. Bedrooms were large and well insulated from street noise. We had a chef in our group who thought the kitchen worked excellent for preparing a gourmet meal. The owners included so many basic supplies in the apartment we were disappointed wherever else we went. Parking was just a 5 minute walk away. Will be recommending this apartment to our friends and family and would definitely stay here again. Juan and the rest of the team were great to deal with.
This was our first trip to Barcelona! Our jaws dropped upon entering the apartment. The high ceiling double doors in the living room that opened to the balcony overlooking the charming street was our most favorite of staying in this beautiful apartment! The pictures do not do it justice!! We loved sitting out there people watching, and drinking our wine. I'm not sure we ever shut those doors while we were in the apartment.
The space was accommodating for our family group of 6, with plenty of space for us to enjoy restful moments from our touring of Barcelona. The apartment was exceptionally clean, and stocked with everythng we needed for our stay. Juan arranged for airport pick up and drop off which was very convenient and something less to worry about. Juan was very informative upon our check-in, he showed us around the apartment and gave us some helpful tips for around town.
The Gothic Quarter was a great location to stay with so much to see! We felt very safe on our charming street. The apartment is walking distance to La Rambla, Barceloneta Beach and Old Port, as well as the El Born District. If it wasn't walking distance, the METRO was very close and we were quite impressed with the public transportation in Barcelona! We couldn't have picked a better location to stay during our vacation here in Barcelona!
We hope to visit Barcelona again and without a second thought, we would choose this apartment again!
Thank you for making our stay so comfortable!
