Guestbook comments from the manager

My wife was having surgery at Steadman Hawkins so I needed a convenient yet reasonable condo. This remodeled condo was very nice and perfect with its elevator post-surgery. The manager worked with me on rates and was always responsive to any requests or correspondence. I look forward to staying there again when I'm not having surgery!

Great Location, close to everything, nice condo.

  • 5 of 5

This condo was a very nice place to stay; good value for the money, comfortable, nice views a five minute (or less) walk to the lifts, shopping and restaurants. We never had to use our car while we were here. Would stay in this unit again.

Amazing location and great service

  • 5 of 5

The booking process was easy and so was accessing the condo which was important because I arrived late at night. The condo is very close to the gondola and the views are lovely. Although the building is older like many in lionshead village, this condo has been remodeled and was very nice with granite in the kitchen and baths as well as other upgrades. I loved the garage parking, elevator access and ski locker. Again the location cannot be beat. The manager was quick to reply and even helped me in an accidental lockout situation very quickly. She was wonderful. I will definitely stay here again!

Somewhat Disappointed

  • 2 of 5

On the positive side, the unit is a good location, comfortable, has a ski locker, there is ample space and the reclining chairs in the living room were nice after a day of skiing. On the flip side, the unit is run down and needs some attention. Specifically, the master bed is lumpy, many of the towels had holes, the carpet is worn and the heating very hard to properly control. The unit was also poorly equipped - not enough pans/glasses, no wine glasses, no real corkscrew and what was present was not in great shape. For example, the frying pan had been deformed to a rounded bottom which did not work well on the glass cooktop. Finally, the unit does not represent good value. A week later, I stayed 50 yards away in a three bedroom, beautiful Lionshead unit for considerably less money.

Owner's Response: Thank you for the feedback. I will speak with the owner about the master bedroom mattress although I have had zero complaints. A firm mattress topper would probably be a good addition just in case. The carpet however is only a couple of years old and definitely has no holes so I hope this review is for this actual condo. Some items you references do not seem to apply. I also found no holes in the towels. There was one hot tub towel that was frayed on the end but definitely no holes in the bathroom towels. The condo is loaded with dishes, glassware, table mats and napkins. I will inspect the cookware to make sure the mid-shaped pan is located, removed and replaced. Finally the heaters in the living room are new this season and are easily controlled by the thermostat on the wall. The bedroom heaters are individually controlled but since there are no thermostats in the room it's usually easy to figure out. I will however find a way to inform future guests of all heating controls so this is not an issue. I'm always accessible with any questions as well anytime. As far as rates, they are extremely competitive--the week after that you got an inexpensive 3bd starting March 27th reflects the start of the late season pricing which is typically half or more off the spring break rates (ours works the same dropping to half of the spring break rate) so it does make sense you could score a lovely lionshead 3bd for so much less once Easter has passed but for spring break that would not be the case. And it's so much less crowded on the hill following Easter. Our rates for location and quality are typically lower than comparables in lionshead village for all rate periods. Thanks again for the feedback.

Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

The location could not be beat. You are less than a minutes walk to the main street in Lionshead and next door to the village bus stop. We could get to the gondola and lift in about 2 minutes. The views from the balcony were great. The manager, Anna was very helpful and attentive. We did appreciate the bottle of wine she brought to us. The condo was nicely updated in the kitchen and bathrooms except the shower pan in the guest bath. It was probably clean but you could not tell. Just needs to be changed out. Definately will stay here again!

Great location, nice condo, good service and reasonable rates

  • 5 of 5

My family and I stayed the end of ski season. Condo was clean and spacious with really nice views of the slopes. Everything was great. We asked for a late checkout the day before we were to leave and the manager got back to use in 5 minutes that it would be fine to do so. She also asked if everything was fine with the condo and that if we needed anything to contact her anytime. She was helpful during the booking process and during our stay. The one drawback to vantage point is that there isn't washer and dryers in the condos so for a long stay that can be tough, and you need quarters to do laundry but we knew this ahead of time. As far as the quality, prices, and service, it all was really great. We will stay here again next year!

Decent condo, lacks some essentials for the price.

  • 2 of 5

Decent condo but limited services. Problems receiving information on how to even get in the condo upon arrival. it says linens provided but no dish rags or dish towels provided and we had to beg to get some wash cloths. Received 6 for the week. Try using a kitchen for a week with no dish towels or dish rags and one roll of paper towels. You have to use the same wash cloth to shower with for a whole week! Again, decent place, newly remodeled, good parking, good view of slopes but frustrating services. You are on your own for the week.

Owner's Response: I am always open to feedback and looking to improve. However I am very surprised at the lack of service feedback. I emailed the entry info with all directions and lockbox codes about one month prior to arrival. When guest called I responded within 10 minutes of receiving message on Saturday to help him with the lockbox code so he could get into the condo. I did not know he had not received the entry info because he never contacted me prior to arrival to say it was not received. In future i will ask for a quick email response to confirm receipt of this info. He texted me Saturday evening for dish rags and wash cloths so I dropped wash cloths the very next day on Sunday. Housekeeping has stocked the home with paper towels since dish rags get gross fast. There were sponges under sink. There is also a dishwasher. I immediately addressed the lack of wash cloths with housekeeping so there will not be a shortage of wash clothes again and per Guest recommendation I will request more linens stocked for week stays since at Vantage Point laundry is on site but not in the condos so perhaps not as convenient. Guest thanked me and I didn't hear from him for the rest of the stay so I thought all was taken care of promptly. As always I appreciate feedback immensely and will always take immediate steps to fix any problems. These changes should make future stays even more enjoyable.
