Oak Bluffs House Rental Photos and Description

House, 4 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 7)

This beautifully landscaped, professionally decorated 1998 contemporary offers affordable luxury. Stately French doors, eyebrow windows and cathedral ceilings make for sun-filled days. Variable tract lighting, accent lights, decorative table lamps, and a working brick fireplace provide a warm glow during chilly evenings.

The house features a built-in surround sound system, central air-conditioning, ceiling fans, hardwood floors, a fully equipped kitchen, and a screened cedar porch that allows for outdoor dining without the bugs. The location is less than one mile from town via Circuit Avenue and is a short walk to tennis and basketball.

A large parking area on a broad pebble drive is surrounded by a fenced-in yard that includes a professionally landscaped lawn and automated sprinkler system, flowering trellis, perennial garden, and an outdoor shower with hot and cold water.

The master bedroom features a king-size bed, ample lighting, bedside cabinets, a large dresser, walk-in closet, and a 14-inch TV. The full-bath includes both direct and tract lighting, a shower and a soaking tub.

The second bedroom contains two beds with a walk-in closet, ample lighting, a multiple-drawer storage chest, and a dressing table.

The third bedroom contains a queen-bed has adjacent kitchenette with access to a stone patio through a sliding glass door.

The fourth bedroom contains a twin bed, a closet and shares a bathroom with the third bedroom.

Included are board games, a 27-inch TV with DVD player in the living room, an iPod-ready stereo receiver, boogie boards for beach play and a large MHP gas grill with picnic benches for outdoor dining.

Landscape lighting and built-in sound speakers provide for amorous evenings under the stars in the spacious yard.

Wonderful Place !!!

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed at this beautiful home for a mini vacation and loved it ! The pictures don't do the place justice, absolutely beautiful home inside and out. It was perfect, everything you could need in the kitchen for preparing a meal and beautiful enclosed deck to dine on or a very nice dining area inside. Lovely decorated living room to relax, enjoy a movie or surf the internet. The beds were extremely comfortable, soft and luxurious linens and very spacious rooms. We could not have wanted or picked a more perfect place to stay than here. Conveniently located to town if you enjoy walking, bus stops close by or an inexpensive taxi ride only $10.00 one way. Always plenty available morning, afternoon and night throughout town. Most importantly, the owner was a pleasure to work with. We have rented several places over the last two years and Jeff was by far the best !! Thanks again and we look forward to visiting your lovely home again in the fall :).

Close Enough to Town

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay! It seemed FAR on the first day, since we decided to walk with our luggage. But after that, we were able to walk back and forth to the center of town (Circuit Ave shops) in about 15 - 20 minutes. It is definitely a mile, but a straight shot. Cabs were a different price every time we took one, from only $7 for one person from the ferry, to $21 for five of us to Nancy's. Tip - we found a convenience store that was closer to the house that saved us from having to go into town more. It is called Tony's and it also has better hours, a deli and wine/beer!

The hammock out back was one of my favorite spots. It is definitely a nice location - the last house on a dirt road, so no traffic or worries about cars once there. Our only concern was walking the dirt path at night, so we made sure to be inside or cab it after dark.

The only drawbacks are 1) the extremely narrow spiral staircase to the lower level (heavy-set people probably cannot use it, nor can you take your luggage down it) and 2) the second bedroom downstairs is in between the first bedroom and the bathroom, so keep in mind that you will have to pass through that person's bedroom to use it. Works fine if it is a kid, not an adult who needs privacy. There is also a water heater inside the bathroom.

Other than that, it was perfect for our girls' getaway! The owner and his property managers were very responsive and helpful. We will definitely stay there again.

Charming home, well located

  • 5 of 5

Three others and myself stayed here for 3 nights and it was perfect for us. We were able to take a cab every night for 12 dollars to Circuit Ave, which is also within walking distance. Place is well kept and had everything we needed including a working grill. Great place for a multifamily get together. At the end of a dirt road, truly off the beaten path. We spent a fair amount of time on the screened in porch as well as the good sized backyard. Also had a nearly sound proofed room (boiler room) that we could put our heavy snoring friend in. Worked great for us all. Plenty of parking.

Beautiful……...

  • 5 of 5

The pictures on this website doesn't do justice for this house. The lower level is an apartment by itself. The main level had two bedrooms one with a king size bed and the other had two twin beds. There is a screen enclosed porch with a dining room table if the weather permits. My family and I rented for spring break and we will definitely be back. The owner was very attentive from the beginning to end. If you view this home…..BOOK it. You will not be disappointed.

Wonderful place to make your "home away from home" on vacation!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I decided on a last minute getaway to the vineyard. Not knowing where to stay, we had submitted a few requests on VRBO and Jeff was the first to respond. From start to finish, he made the whole process a breeze, answering every question promptly and making sure we had all the info we needed. The house is very private, set back at the end of a dirt road, but less than a mile from the main street in Oak Bluffs. The inside of the house is spotless, decorated classic, cute, simple, and cozy (not old, musty, or outdated), and has plenty of room to sleep 7, but isn't too big if it is a romantic getaway for 2. Some of my favorite things: outdoor shower, screened in patio for outdoor dining, fireplace, outdoor grill, several adirondack chairs on the yard, decks, & patio which adds such a cute touch, kitchen had everything we needed, sleeping with the windows open and not hearing cars, and huge yard with hammock & picnic table. We really felt like we were coming "home" every day after exploring the island, which is such a nice feeling when on vacation. When we come back to Martha's Vineyard in the future, we will definitely stay here again!!

Wonderful Property!

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I just returned from a week on MV in this lovely home! It puts the previous house we rented to shame. The location is perfect for a quick walk or drive to Oak Bluffs and not far from V.Haven and Edgartown either. The home is beautiful inside and out and we couldn't have asked for a more wonderful rental. The pictures do not do it justice. The owner and caretaker were so nice to deal with too. I would highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to spend time on MV!!! We will for sure rent here again.
