Exceptional location 100 meters from the sea, parks, close to shops, restaurants, entertainment venues, piers, gardens and rides for children, mini golf.

Lovely view east towards Tower Lantern and west to the parks and the sea. Beautiful terrace with garden furniture and deckchairs.

It's a beautiful sunny house of 110m2 with:

- The ground floor, an entrance hall with wardrobe and beautiful staircase, laundry (washing machine, dryer), large garage, a room with a bed 140 opening onto a small private courtyard, a bathroom with WC.

- 1st floor, kitchen very well equipped with full electro-household, cupboards, table and stools, overlooking the terrace by a sliding door, a large dining / living room with solid birch furniture, plus flat-screen TV, DVD player, stereo, two leather sofas.

- 2nd floor, 2 spacious bedrooms, one with a 140-bed and the other with a bed of 160, bathroom, WC.

Fantastic location but noise issues

Do not be put off by the noise which actually did go on until 2am on two occasions and 12 every night.

The property location is very close to all major attractions including music bar/restaurant across the road .

The owners intro document actually advises on how to contact the police if it goes on beyond 11 (good luck - true)

The property itself is very comfortable and all facilities good quality.

The owners are very helpful and very good English

Noise aside we would be very positive about the property but feedback for future renting must be made aware of this unavoidable problem

Owner's Response: I'am really sorry for you. It is true that the house is close to everything that makes the attraction of the city and this is in our opinion a great advantage. It is also very appreciated by the tourist who come to us. In June, there is also the music festival (21 June) and the end of the school year celebrated by the students. I hope that despite this you will not hesitate to return to La Rochelle. We were very happy to welcome you.

Well located and well appointed property

This is an excellent property, well located close to the old town and the beach.

There are so many really good restaurants located within a few hundred metres of the property it would take a month or more to try them all.(La Boussole was our favourite.)

As a party of three "golden generation" couples the beach was not a huge attraction, other than for a stroll in the evening, but would be a great facility for families.

The house is well appointed with an excellent cool terrace in the evening and catches the morning sunshine. (La Rochelle was unusually hot when we visited.)

We had two cars with us and it was possible to park them both in front of the integral garage. (Access is available to the garage if required.)

There is an excellent selection of attractions to visit in and around La Rochelle - the Aquarium, the three towers, museums, boat trips to the islands, etc.

Martine was an excellent host who provided all the information we needed. It was, truly, a pleasure to do business with her.

The only reason I have not given five stars for this property is that the beach area does seem to attract youngsters who party into the night and make the front bedroom noisy. It could be that our visit coincided with the start of the school/college holiday period.

I look forward to visiting La Rochelle again.

Wonderful House in a Perfect Location!

We stayed here for a week over Easter. The house is beautiful, excellent condition, very comfortable and immaculately clean. The garage parking is idea and plenty big enough for a large car.

The house is situated in a perfect location, two minutes walk from the beach, the town with it's excellent selection of restaurants, and the park. You do not need to move your car unless venturing further afield. Despite the central location we were never disturbed by noise.

We had a fabulous stay and hope to stay again. Thank you!!!

Séjour mémorable

Maison agréable et très bien située, en plein centre ville tout en étant au calme et au vert (parc à 2 minutes à pied). Propriétaires très accueillants. Bon équipement, il ne manque rien. Nous avons passé un très bon séjour à la Rochelle et fait des excursions à vélos et en bateau aux alentours. Nous reviendrons volontiers.

Tout était parfait ... et trop court

nous remercions la propriétaire pour un très agréable séjour (5 nuits) dans cette jolie maison. Décorée avec beaucoup de gout, il n'a manqué en rien. La maison étant parfaitement située, nous avons pu découvrir la ville à pied. Le parc à coté était un grand plus. Merci aussi pour votre flexibilité par rapport à nos horaires d'arrivé et départ (et par rapport à la petite "deuxième visite" pour quelques objets oubliés).

We absolutely recommend this beautiful and very conveniently located house which was perfect for us to discover the city - very nice owner.

Wärmstens zu empfehlendes Haus in nächster Nähe zum Stadtzentrum, ideal um die Stadt zu Fuß zu erkunden - sehr nette Eigentümerin.
