After living and working across Canada and overseas, I have returned back to Canada to enjoy living in a small town and meeting guests from around the world. I love meeting people and sharing local and travel experiences with them. As a full time Rotarian I also enjoy many service related projects and welcoming and learning from other service club members, be they Rotarians, Lions, Optimists, Legion and others. Along with this property I continue to run my full service travel agency locally.
Barbara purchased this House in 2017
Why Barbara chose Gananoque
Gananoque offered the best of living in a small town coupled with the historic site of the St. Lawrence River. Having grown up in Montreal and enjoying early Canadian history Gananoque was a return to the roots of our early explorers and development with our American neighbours in and around 1812. My home was built in 1889 but offers a cozy, modern environment in an old world setting.
What makes this House unique
My home is the closest to the river, the marina, the 1000 Islands tourist boat, the waterfront walk & park, and the heritage museums of all rentals in the area. The Playhouse, restaurants and shops are nearby. Come and enjoy the home, the garden & BBQ, and the neighbourhood.

This beautiful home was very clean, had very comfortable beds, and was large enough to accommodate a family of 5+. We could walk to everything, food, shopping, museums, and shows.
And more importantly, it is only steps away from the St. Lawrence River.
We enjoyed our stay in this Victorian home. The facilities were great! Proximity to the boat tours, boat launch and downtown made our stay a real treat.
Thank you so much ! You were a pleasure to host! Thank you for leaving my home immaculate! I wish you well on your further travels! Come again!
My home is 1 block from the famous St. Lawrence River and the 1000 Islands in Historic Gananoque. The 1000 Islands Tourist boat is just meters away, as are the Heritage museum, boat museum, Joel Stone park, beach and splash pad, and the public marina and boat launch. There is golf, kayaking, and fishing close by and a waterfront trail to enjoy. The 1000 Islands Playhouse offers a wide variety of shows throughout the year and there are open air concerts in the summer at the Joel Stone Park Bandshell. There are a variety of nearby restaurants, shops (antique, flea market, other), parks, and a micro-brewery along with all the usual small town amenities such as a library, Laundromat, grocery & liquor stores.
