About The Owner

Rick is a Mechanical Engineer and Karen is a Realtor. We love antique/classic cars and currently have a '56 Chevy Belair Convertible and a '56 Ford Crown Vic. Karen's favorite things to do are antiquing and hosting Tea parties in our home. We have 3 children and 5 grandchildren, 4 boys and 1 girl, ages 7-20. We also have a very much loved and spoiled Brussels Griffon, age 2, who does not know that he is a dog. His name is Griffin.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2001

Why The Owner chose Tennessee

In the late 90's we started coming to Pigeon Forge to participate in the classic car shows. We both loved the area, especially the mountains, so we decided we had to buy a home there. We searched for a week looking at properties all around Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. But, as soon as we walked into this home, we knew it was the one we had to have. It just felt like home to us. We love the location, being so close to all the attractions but at the end of a very quiet street. It gives us a quiet place to return to after exhausting ourselves from shopping, Dollywood, the Aquarium, more shopping, walking, well you get the picture. Not to mention the restaurants.

What makes this cottage unique

At our home you will enjoy a community swimming pool, taking the dog for a walk around the neighborhood (no hills to climb here), reading the newspaper on the deck or, relaxing in the hot tub.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Just a quick note to let you know how happy we are that we found your Pigeon Forge rental on VRBO. We are having an awesome stay in your lovely home which is tastefully decorated. Thank you for sharing it with others and also catering to those of us who travel with "fur children." We would not hesitate to recommend your rental home to others and, if we come back this way again, will definitely rent from you.

Omg would definitely stay here again!

  • 5 of 5

Omg, this house is awesome. Very well kept, neat and tidy. We did some cooking while vacationing here and found everything we needed to cook with. This house is set in the perfect location, close to everything but still away from the noise. When myself and my family walked in we were blown away. I personally wanted to take the whole house home with me. The master bed was super comfortable, and I was happy to see a twin bed in both bedrooms as well as the bigger beds, since I was traveling with a toddler whom had just started sleeping in his own bed. Everything was wonderful here. I hope to return soon! Decor was awesome!

Always Wanting to Return!

  • 5 of 5

This was our third time staying in the home, and we have never been disappointed. The house is very accessible to everything in Pigeon Forge. We have never experienced any problems in the home and find that it totally meets our needs. The location is very peaceful, yet still close to all the action.

Wonderful home away from home

  • 5 of 5

We loved staying at this home! It is very quiet and private since the house is at the end of the street which was nice if you wanted to enjoy the hot tub out back. I loved the layout and furnishings in the home. The house is located just minutes from most things you will want to do in pigeon forge and is not far from Gatlinburg as well. I would definitely recommend staying at this lovely home. I know we hope to return in the future.

NEVER AGAIN!

  • 1 of 5

We have been renting houses for our vacation for many years, this was the worse. There ad says they have a gas grill, there was no gas grill. The hot tub was broke until a couple of days before we left.No batteries in the tv turner in the master bedroom,we put our own in.Then when we got home we received a e-mail that we are not getting our $75.00 pet deposit because they said pee stains on there comforter in the master bedroom and poop on the little rug in the kitchen, and dried pee at the back door on a laminate floor,I have no idea what dried pee looks like since it rain off and on the whole time we were there and used that back door all the time.Since there is no roof over the deck the floor would get wet with rain not pee.WE have a 71/2 lb yorkie which is the love of our lives and never goes in the house NEVER.Nobody ever complained about our dog in fact if we would go back to the same house they would not charge for him.You could not ask for a better dog,we are so lucky.I would not recommend this house to anybody. This is the first bad review we ever gave.
