About The Owner

Rick is a Mechanical Engineer and Karen is a Realtor. We love antique/classic cars and currently have a '56 Chevy Belair Convertible and a '56 Ford Crown Vic. Karen's favorite things to do are antiquing and hosting Tea parties in our home. We have 3 children and 5 grandchildren, 4 boys and 1 girl, ages 7-20. We also have a very much loved and spoiled Brussels Griffon, age 2, who does not know that he is a dog. His name is Griffin.

The Owner purchased this cottage in 2001

Why The Owner chose Tennessee

In the late 90's we started coming to Pigeon Forge to participate in the classic car shows. We both loved the area, especially the mountains, so we decided we had to buy a home there. We searched for a week looking at properties all around Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg. But, as soon as we walked into this home, we knew it was the one we had to have. It just felt like home to us. We love the location, being so close to all the attractions but at the end of a very quiet street. It gives us a quiet place to return to after exhausting ourselves from shopping, Dollywood, the Aquarium, more shopping, walking, well you get the picture. Not to mention the restaurants.

What makes this cottage unique

At our home you will enjoy a community swimming pool, taking the dog for a walk around the neighborhood (no hills to climb here), reading the newspaper on the deck or, relaxing in the hot tub.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Just a quick note to let you know how happy we are that we found your Pigeon Forge rental on VRBO. We are having an awesome stay in your lovely home which is tastefully decorated. Thank you for sharing it with others and also catering to those of us who travel with "fur children." We would not hesitate to recommend your rental home to others and, if we come back this way again, will definitely rent from you.

This is such a great little house. Just the right size and has everything you need. Close to attractions. Well maintained and bedrooms are large and each bedroom has an extra twin for additional sleeping. Clean and neat. Owners very friendly and easy to deal with. Would definitely rent again. Was here for our 25th Anniversary

It is very very very clean, beautifully decorated and the location is excellent!!! My mom said she wished she could pick this place up and bring it home with her...LOL We would definitely recommend it and we will be back!!!! I wish I could give it 10 stars because this place deserves it!!!!

Thanks again, Chad, Ronetta, Ronna, Ashton, Rowan, Kaylin, Kevin and our fur babies Reba & Tank

This little cottage was the best!

  • 5 of 5

Karen and Rick had to deal with many, many questions from me for using the Home Away app for the first time. She answered the questions fully and at times, with great patience. Our family of five stayed in the cottage and it fit our needs perfectly. It was super clean and neatly put together. We loved it! Thanks, Karen and Rick, for letting us use you beautiful little "Home Away from Home"!

Beautiful home in a wonderful location. Very close to the parkway but you would never even know that with how quiet it is. The home is tastefully decorated and very spacious. Where do you live?

Omg would definitely stay here again!

  • 5 of 5

Omg, this house is awesome. Very well kept, neat and tidy. We did some cooking while vacationing here and found everything we needed to cook with. This house is set in the perfect location, close to everything but still away from the noise. When myself and my family walked in we were blown away. I personally wanted to take the whole house home with me. The master bed was super comfortable, and I was happy to see a twin bed in both bedrooms as well as the bigger beds, since I was traveling with a toddler whom had just started sleeping in his own bed. Everything was wonderful here. I hope to return soon! Decor was awesome!
