About the property

Brand new first floor luxury barn conversion close to coastal pat

Nestled on the edge of a secluded wood on the outskirts of Llaneilian, a scattered rural village on the delightful North East coast of Anglesey and part of a designated area of outstanding natural beauty, this brand new luxury first floor apartment boats amazing sea views across the adjoining countryside and to the spectacular mountain range of Snowdonia beyond.

This recently converted tastefully styled barn apartment is conveniently located for couples looking to explore the local area, whilst offering a peaceful getaway from busy daily life.

This idyllic setting is a perfect holiday retreat for animal lovers and walkers alike.

The patio windows in both the living area and bedroom, frame the woodland that provides sanctuary to the abundance of resident wildlife, including red squirrels, rabbits and pheasant not to mention a wide variety of garden and woodland birds.

Sit and observe their daily activities from a little closer (if you're quiet enough and weather permits!) outside on the large balcony accessed from either of the patio doors. On a clear morning, if you're an early riser, you can also watch the dawn of the day from behind the Great Orme at Llandudno whilst out there.

The impressively sized property consists of : a cloakroom (a must for those muddy boots)/an open plan living room with a corner sofa (large and comfortable enough for two to sprawl out on when watching the 42 inch flat screen tv) and well fitted kitchen including washing machine, dishwasher, induction hob, oven, microwave and plenty of cupboard space/one bedroom furnished with a generous superking size bed, fitted wardrobes, dressing table and wall mounted flat screen tv/ one bathroom (accessed from the bedroom) providing toilet, wash basin and a spacious shower enclosure with electric shower.

The apartment is attached to the rear of Tyddyn Mawr, (the owners holiday home, which is not rented out and usually only occupied at weekends by the owners themselves.) and in the owners absence guests are welcome to use the garden of the main house and also access the games room to play air hockey or table tennis.

Anglesey has numerous award winning beaches and attractions, all of which are only a short drive away. The coastal path stretches 125 miles around the Isle giving opportunity to walk along cliff top paths and explore deserted coves, Porth Y Gwichiaid (Periwinkle bay) is a small shale cove only a couple of miles from Tydyyn Mawr . There are many places close by to enjoy cycling, boating and fishing (fishing trips go from Amwlch port just over 3 miles away) and with ample room on the drive for a boat and up to 3 cars, Tydyyn Mawr is an ideal place to stay when planning on participating in one or all!

A peaceful retreat

  • 5 of 5

The apartment lived up to it's billing. The description didn't do it justice as it was a perfect location with stunning views of the sea, North Welsh hills and the surrounding countryside supported too many birds to name, red squirrels galore and other unidentified wildlife. The apartment itself was clean, well appointed and very comfortable to be in.

All appliances are of good quality and the heating, necessary for this time of year, very efficient. Both lounge area and bedroom are extremely comfortable and made us feel that we could have stayed a little longer.

Catherine and her husband made us very welcome and were helpful in providing useful information on places to visit, places to eat etc.

We look forward to revisiting TYDDYN MAWR, maybe at a different time of the year.

Ideal for a couple with plenty of room. Well fitted out. Balcony offered wonderful views to the sea

  • 5 of 5

Comfortable, clean and tidy. A bit short on kitchen equipment, but there are plenty of eateries. Golden eagle and peregrines on the hill above, which is well worth the walk.

Ravens in the adjacent wood. Copper Kingdom and mine very interesting. Seals in the sea 15 min walk from barn.

All in all, we had a good week.

Peaceful location, stunning views

  • 5 of 5

A very comfortable and well appointed property with stunning views and within easy reach of some beautiful beaches, ideal for swimming! Great walks right from the door and - with every day hot and sunny - a wonderful week away from it all. Thank you to the very welcoming hosts ... hope to return.

Spacious, modern apartment with spectacular views

  • 5 of 5

The owners checked that everything was OK, then left us to enjoy the peace and quiet of the surroundings. There were views of the adjacent woods (with resident red squirrel visiting the owners' garden daily), grazing sheep, shipping around the Anglesey coast, Puffin Island, the Great Orme and even Snowdon on clear days. The apartment was well equipped, well furnished and there was a super shower. The one disappointment was the lack of a welcome pack; even a pint of milk and a couple of teabags would have been appreciated.

Lovely accomodation in beautiful surroundings with gorgeous views

  • 5 of 5

Our 5 night stay was a much needed respite and we left wanting more. The daily visit by a red squirrel to the nut stores in view just off the balcony was a treat. As were the Red Kites and Hen Harriers seen almost every day. The place was well equipped and very spacious - a home from home. Highly recommended.
