We invite you to vacation in our beautifully designed ensuite with a 3 1/2 Star Canada Select Rating. This is our fifth year of operation. We offer you a 500 square foot suite nestled in the quaint fishing village of North Rustico. We are situated on the National Park boundary, a five minute walk from a life guarded beach and surrounded by beautiful views of the ocean and bay. Every day fishing boats can be seen going back and forth from the harbour.
The suite offers you a queen-size sleigh bed with luxury bedding and a cozy sitting area with sofa and fireplace. We offer satellite TV, DVD player, a small refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker and the use of a National Park beach pass along with beach chairs and towels.
Wake up in the morning to the sounds of ocean waves, morning doves and listen to the soft hum of fishing boats as they head out for a day of lobster or deep sea fishing.
If you would like to try your hand at deep sea fishing during July or August, call Bob's Deep Sea Fishing at the Harbour for a booking.
Whether your interest is in a day of sunbathing, swimming, golfing or just exploring you have come to the right place and each night you can view a glorious sunset from the windows of your suite. You'll find after a few days with us that Rustico is not a place ... it's a state of mind.
Kayak and bike rentals are available at the harbour five minutes away and for your dining pleasure there are several restaurants in the immediate area as well as a short drive to Cavendish for a further choice of where to dine.
We aim at keeping our prices as low as possible so everyone can come and enjoy a beach vacation without the high prices, particularly in these rough economic times.
In order to do this we do not provide housekeeping during your stay - but we do provide fresh linens, plenty of towels, and general cleaning supplies if you need them.
If you did require daily cleaning it would be an extra charge of $20. a day.

Susan(blue shirt) and Patty(blue shorts) came to visit PEI 6 years ago on vacation -this time remembering our passports. We traveled from western Massachusetts where Susan taught at UMass for almost 30 years and Patty worked in the local elementary schools. We stayed in the ensuite for 6 days in the summer and fell in love with North Rustico,PEI - the views, the people-(who are so welcoming - excited that you found their island), the quietness, and the sense that the ocean is 20 minutes away from any spot on the island. The house and the suite were for sale and we bought it!!!
We thought we could become Canadian residents but at this point that is not to be. We have become Floridians for the winter and North Rusticoians for the summer. What a great adventure we (plus our English Mastiff and Standard Poodle) have had for these last 6 years.
The Owner purchased this studio in 2010
When we came to vacation at this spot, we so enjoyed sitting on the deck and reading, sipping our morning coffee, and relaxing after a day of traveling the quiet (in season) roads of PEI. When you stand on our deck you are facing the harbor where the fishing boats go out early every morning puttering by. To our north we can see the ocean and there is nothing more soothing to us than hearing the waves rolling in and out. The red sands beach is about a 5 minute walk and the harbor boardwalk and 'downtown' is a delightful walk down our hill. Again we are amazed at how inviting our neighbors and new friends are since we decided to move to Lantern Hill.
We share a deck with our guest, but I promise you - you will have quiet and peace and beautiful views to relax and soak up on your vacation! You can lay in the hammock, pick vegetables from the garden(hopefully), go golfing, swimming(the ocean stays pretty warm with the Gulf Stream running through the St Lawrence Seaway), biking, hiking, eating, drinking, and listening to all different kinds of music. Lots of fiddling, fresh seafood, potatoes, and friendly people if you need some information in your travels.
This was the start of our North America trip and was a fantastic place to stay. Very comfortable, well equipped and ideally located for some beautiful coastline.
We loved PEI and our hosts were very welcoming. Would definitely recommend.
Lovely to be your first guests of the Season. The suite was very clean and well set up. Patty it was so nice of you to have a map and travel information for us when we arrived. Your suite was in a great location for golfing, cycling along the coast, fantastic restaurants, lots of great artisan shops and walking along the wharf and beach. So close to bakery and grocery store as well. The weather for the most part was cold and rainy and it was so nice to come home to your cozy suite after our adventures. Your welcoming treats were really appreciated! Hope we can come and stay again. Michelle and Doug
First of all Susan and Patty are the best! They did everything to make our stay enjoyable. From spoiling us with breakfast treats and sweet treats to providing us with a grill and accessories for a home cooked seafood dinner. They were really concerned about making our stay perfect. This is a nice central location for getting around PEI and seeing what the island has to offer. North Rustico is a quaint harbor town but also a tourist stop for the lobster supper. You can ride to a paved bike trail and the (quiet) beach is only a 5 minute walk from the house. There is a new boardwalk that you can take to town and a fresh seafood market. We would stay here again if we come back. Thanks again Susan and Patty, you made our stay quite enjoyable.
Great Base to visit everything on PEI. Lovely, helpful owners. comfortable studio, had all we needed.
Susan and Patty couldn't have been nicer. Our plane out of NYC had been repeatedly delayed, so we didn't get in until ~11. Our hosts came to the airport twice to guide us back to their place - really, exceptional hospitality. We had a delicious bottle of white wine, some half and half, sodas and other goodies waiting for us, plus supplies of coffee, tea, sugar etc. The suite is much bigger than the pictures show, with windows on three sides, a glimpse of the ocean and harbor on one side and a pristine view of a field, farm land and trees on another. Everything fresh and clean - great bathroom too. We slept so incredibly well on the VERY comfortable bed with its soft cotton linens. We cooked the best fish we ever had - picked the halibut up in the village and charcoal cooked it on a small grill Susan and Patty provide in the yard. There is a lovely walk on red dirt paths to the beautiful national park ocean beach. The water was warm. North Rustico is charming. The studio is very quiet and peaceful, a great place to come back to after a day out. Thank you so much, Susan and Patty!
We arrived at our suite seeking a relaxing, comfortable week on beautiful Prince Edward Island and we were not disappointed. We knew immediately upon meeting Susan and Patty that our week was going to be great. The warm and friendly welcoming was much appreciated after a couple of long days of driving. The fridge welcomed us with a cold bottle of wine and some cold beer along with other refreshments. The suite was gorgeous, very clean and came with everything you need to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.. It felt like home immediately. The hospitality of the North Rustico region was immediately felt everywhere we visited. We enjoyed our daily chats with Susan and Patty and everyone we met during our stay. If you are looking for a beautiful, peaceful place to relax and enjoy the treasures of the Island we highly recommend this wonderful suite. We will be planning a return trip as this was such an enjoyable vacation and once you visit Prince Edward Island you will always feel her embrace beckoning your return.
