Guestbook comments from the manager

Once again we spend a wonderful time here. We don't really know how often we stayed here. but we know we will come back. We had a wonderful Christmas in Cavoni. And where it could it be better to start the New Year as here.

And we had some nice guess, cats, cats, cats. Last year there only were 3 but this year....And we enjoyed everyone of them!

Thank you for all. We are looking forward to coming back

Breathtaking !!!

  • 5 of 5

Every view outside each window was a masterful painting. We could not stop taking photos. The apartment was perfect for my wife and I. We stayed for a week which gave us enough time to travel each day to a different city / town in the Siena region. The pool was just being opened for the season the day before we left but we could imagine ourselves lounging poolside with a great bottle of vino enjoying the view, clean air and sounds of silence.

Sensational Surroundings

  • 5 of 5

The view from the hilltop house is wonderful in all directions and all hours. From sunrise to sunset, there are constant photo ops. Even at night, far off twinkling and shimmering city lights enchant. The setting is serene and the house is spacious and sumptuous. It was a pleasure living there, and to come home every day and enjoy the beauty, inside and out. There was an abundance of good ideas, information, maps, and books about the area and for reading pleasure in the house. We adjusted our original daily destination plans as we found and learned about the many enjoyable experiences close to ”home”. We felt fortunate to be a part of that life for awhile.

Fantastic place to stay

  • 5 of 5

A beautifully restored apartment in a traditional Tuscan farmhouse, surrounded by stunning panoramic views on all sides. A peaceful and relaxing place with a large shared pool. The apartment is very well equipped, clean and comfortable.

We loved sitting in the pretty garden watching the wildlife and the sun setting over Siena.

There is so much to explore in the surrounding area - wonderful scenery, beautiful Tuscan towns, a wealth of art and architecture and delicious food.

Can't wait to return.

Dream Come True

  • 5 of 5

It was love at first sight! The location could not be better. Close to the amazing Siena, ( less than 20 minutes away) yet in the heart of rural Tuscany. The space was amazing, with breathtaking views from every lovely window and the glass door. The villa was so tastefully and comfortably furnished it seemed to honour the Tuscan landscape.

We enjoyed the fire place, the sound of frogs, the hiking right from the Villa and the lovely olive trees and lavendar garden. Next visit, I would book more than a week at you place and maybe try to come when the pool is in use, as that looks like a great place to hang out too! The downside is it was hard to leave to leave the villa to go explore Tuscany. We needed another week just to soak in the place. I would recommend you place for artists, writers, lovers of nature. It is a very creative atmosphere.

Our only sadness is that we missed a good visit with you, we feel we would have had a lot in common.

A charming property

  • 5 of 5

We have spent a lovely week in this magical place. We all loved waking up to those splendid views of the gentle rolling hills of Sienna, the sounds of the bumblebees and the smell of lavender in the garden. We have taken so many pictures which I will treasure forever.

The apartment is in a beautiful location which is very secluded. The only downside is that it is a bit far from major cities such as Florence, Pisa and the beautiful marble quarries of Carrara so you need to decide whether you prefer the seclusion and the picture postcard views or to be closer to the major sites otherwise you will end up doing more driving than you might wish and with so many wines to stop and taste, driving back could be a problem. A car is a must to stay in this apartment. You also need to make sure you do all your research before you come out as there is no wifi at the apartment or anywhere close to the apartment. Carmela maybe it would be a good idea to get this installed as I am sure most people today wouldn’t mind paying a little extra for the privilege when you are so far off from anywhere. Off course some people actually prefer to be without wifi while on holiday.

Chianti is about an hour away and we spent a great evening at Vignamaggio winetasting and having a sunset dinner amongst the beautiful scenery of the vines and olive trees. We were also lucky to attend the Palio races in the city of Sienna. Its was very exciting to watch. San Gimingnano is a pretty town which is also a must see.

Carmela you have done a great job in restoring this place. We loved the furniture and the interior and as you rightfully said there is no need to have pictures on the walls as the windows give such great views. Sunset is the best part of the day sitting on top of the stairs to the apartment watching the beautiful glow over the hills and watching the tractor harvesting the “fields of gold”. Dining outside in the garden every evening was also a great treat. We would not hesitate to come again to this place and now that we have visited all the major sites of Tuscany, it means more time to spend next to the pool.
