Welcome to our beautiful Florida Villa which is situated on a wide fresh water canal with lovely gardens in SE Cape Coral. The heated pool with detachable child’s safety mesh fence overlooks the canal and gardens with access to the pool and lanai (patio) from four rooms plus one

bathroom via sliding patio doors. The entire housewiththe exception of the children's bedroom is built around the pool and lanai with large sliding patio windows.These doors have child proof alarms. The villa with it's 2200 sq ft living area is built to a split room design ideal for 2 families and comprises 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, open plan kitchen with breakfast bar, 2 dining areas, large family room and lounge. The villa is single story with cathedral ceilings, privately owned with easy wheelchair access. New furniture has been recently purchased for most of the villa. If you don't want to venture out the property is ideal for a quiet holiday in a gorgeous private setting.

You can sit on the dock and enjoy the peaceful tranquility of the canal, fish off the dock, or kayak in the canal. Fishing poles, golf clubs, bicycles are provided.

I was planning to contact you when I settled again after our holiday. I just want to say a huge thank you for allowing us to use your beautiful villa. We were thrilled with the facilities it offered, it's beautiful decor and cleanliness. I only regret that we didn't have longer to spend there, relaxing and enjoying it. We were on the go a lot, fitting everything in but it was lovely to return to such a fantastic villa. We had a truly wonderful holiday.

  • The master bedroom has a larged en-suite bathroom with bath and seperate shower as well as a large walk-in wardrobe. It has large patio doors which lead directly onto the lanai/pool. The second bedroom also leads onto the pool area. All bedrooms have ceiling fans. The third bedroom has 2 twin beds and double bed. As it it mostly used by children it is ideal as it does not lead directly onto the pool/lanai area.

Notes:
The facilities are exceptional. Everything you would require is there for you. The master bedroom has a queen bed, direct access to the lanai and pool, and canal view. It has a luxurious en-suite bathroom with deep bath, separate shower, and twin sinks. Bedroom 2 has a queen bed and direct pool access. Bedroom three has twin beds. There is a Futon for extra sleeping. A bathroom with pool access is adjacent to bedrooms 2 and 3.All bedrooms are carpeted, quality furnished, and have walk-in wardrobes. The large open plan kitchen has a large breakfast bar with four stools and dining area with direct access to the pool. All kitchen appliances, cookware, dishes and cutlery are provided. The kitchen opens into the large family room with TV, DVD, and stereo. The separate lounge is elegantly furnished with direct pool access and leads into a superb dining area with a beautiful chip edge glass table and 6 high back chairs. A separate laundry room has washing machine, dryer and sink.

Lovely Holiday Home

We loved our stay at Cape Coral - it was like home from home - everything you needed and more - each room has sliding glass doors that lead out into the pool area and it was great to chill by the pool and watch the boats go by. Diana was brilliant as we flew out just after Hurricane Irma - she was in contact beforehand letting us know of any problems - was so accommodating and easy to contact. We will definitely be going back - thank you for an amazing time......

Disappointed

We rented the house for 4 weeks. Upon our arrival we found the house was dirty. The kitchen counters, ceramic and carpeted floors had food crumbs and other debris on them. There were dirty marks on the toilets. Tables that tvs were on were so dusty I could write my name on them. There was no assistance from owners to correct the problems. We had to clean the house ourselves. The vacuum cleaner was almost useless. While we really liked the pool and deck area, the adjoining patio with lovely table, chairs and a chesterfield had a white powder covering the tiles and we never received an answer as to what that was, so we swept and washed it ourselves. The steam iron emptied most of its water on my top when I tried to iron it, which came running out the bottom of the iron. There were no remote controls for the DVD players so couldn't use them. We were told that the remotes were there but previous rentors had misplaced them. Speakers for the stereo system were not hooked up so we couldn't use it. The front outside entrance doors were in need of painting along with a lot of the inside of house. Paint was peeling off living room wall and ceiling. The frypans were very badly used and everything stuck to them so we bought our own and brought them home. The hot and cold taps in kitchen were reversed. The beautiful comfortable chesterfield was outside on the patio, while we sat on a lovely looking leather chesterfield inside that we sank at least a foot in when we sat down, it was very uncomfortable. We couldn't use the garage to park our car because the owner's car was too far over to allow any other car in. In January it gets cold and there were comforters on the beds but that wasn't enough and there was only one blanket for 5 beds. There was no linen closet and only one extra set of sheets for the queen bed in masterbedroom, no extras for other beds. The top of the clothes dryer was very rusty so it couldn't be used to put clothes on and there was no laundry basket, but there was a clothes hamper for dirty clothes. The house was in need of repair and maintenance, pictures for proof. The kitchen island while it looked beautiful, the end of it wasn't secured and was being held up by a garbage can on one side of it and a chair on the other. The beds weren't very comfortable and there were no headboards on any of them. There was no contact phone number is case of troubles. After years of renting in Florida, house was a disappointment.

Owner's Response: This review does not portray an accurate picture of our property. The claim that the house was dirty when that arrived is totally untrue. We the owners prepared the house a couple of days prior to their arrival and can assure everyone that the house was exceptionally clean. We had cleaned the house from top to bottom. This claim distressed my wife as she is very house proud. The vacuum cleaner and the iron were checked and are both OK. We used them prior to us leaving the house. There are no remotes for the DVD players but still work. We do have Roku and Smart TV and a Netflix subscription and WiFi. Most people do not require DVD players as Netflix provides a huge choice for all tastes and ages. I an not aware of any speakers disconnected.The garage was not included in the description of the house. The lounge suite has soft foam cushions but they are in good condition. It is the design type. The dryer has some exterior rust but works fine. We have a clothes hamper but no basket. The reason for only one extra set of linen was that the original request on HomeAway's form was for 2 only persons for 4 weeks which we based our price on. It turns out that there were 2 more adults and 2 children for the first ten days. The guests never asked for a change of linen or extra bedding. If they had we would have provided what they needed. Saying that there was a working washer and dryer. We have never before had feedback about the beds being uncomfortable. We are very disappointed with this review and the attitude of the guests. They contacted us shortly after they arrived complaining about the cleanliness. When we questioned them they said they already cleaned so we were unable to verify their claim. I do not know what their motive was to make false claims but can only surmise that they were seeking some form of compensation but were knocked back when we told them that we had accomplished the cleaning ourselves. What they failed to mention were the new leather suite and rug in the front lounge, the new sun loungers and rattan table and chairs around the pool,and the year old oven and hob, microwave, dishwasher, electric kettle, toaster etc in the kitchen.The extended pool cage is just a year old.The house is in good condition. The paint peeling on the ceiling is the result of horizontal rain blowing in during Irma. It will be painted when it dries out.The new island has cosmetic covers on the side. One of these must have come undone and will be refitted.

A wonderful vacation home

This home is the best! Each room in the home has sliding glass doors that lead out into the pool area. If you want to spend time lounging around the pool and chilling in a great house.....this is the house for you. We loved it. Doug and Diana were so accomodating and easy to contact. The property was beautiful and comfortable.

Over our 9 day stay, the house was more than comfortable! We were able to use the kyack that was provided in the canal and made great use of fishing off the dock! Also, we were able to make dinner with all the pots and pans provided. Overall, the house was great! Thank you for letting us stay.

Peaceful home in a quiet neighborhood.

We had a wonderful visit in June 2017. After a hectic few days at Kennedy Space Center and Disney World, this private, peaceful house was just what we needed. We just stayed home and rested for a few days. We then went to Lovers Key State Park beach to swim, shell and fish. We visited the Edison museum which was good for adults and kids. We really enjoyed seeing white ibis in the yard, a pair of ducks with 13 ducklings, an iguana, and turtles in the canal. A neighbor a few doors down have a mango and orange tree in their yard which is the first time we had seen those. Overall a great place to stay.

Our villa is located is SE Cape Coral on a freshwater canal. Cape Coral benefits from 400 miles of freshwater and saltwater canals. You can fish from the private dock. Water activities like boating, fishing, swimming, canal sightseeing and sunbathing are all easily available. You can visit the beaches at Ft Myers Beach and Sanibel Island or make your way down the coast to Bonita Beach and the state parks. Further down is Naples and the everglades where you can view the alligators and other magnificent wildlife. All within easy access of our villa. Near the villa are Mike Greenwell's Fun Park and Sun Splash Water Park. Great family fun places. It is a 3 hour drive to the famous Disney World and associated attractions. Use us as a base or split your holiday. During February and March Fort Myers host the Red Sox and Twins major league baseball teams. Cape Coral has numerous restaurants and fast food outlets to suit every taste. Bars, supermarkets, and famous retail stores are nearby.
