About Robyn Miller
We have lived in Moscow, Idaho for nearly 20 years but recently moved into our dream house on Howard St. Craig is a Biology Professor at the University of Idaho and I work for The Nature Conservancy. We are a very busy family with 3 active young children so you probably won't see too much of us. We are available by phone if anything arises that needs immediate attention. We will respect your space and do our best to provide you a restful stay. However, our children love to play in the yard on the weekends and early evenings. We also have laying hens, a young dog, and loving cat on the property.

We booked this place to attend the Apple Cup in Pullman over the Thanksgiving holiday. Moscow has a lot to offer and this place is in a nice neighborhood. Host provided some nice touches in guest house.
Actually a 3.5 rating. A beautifully decorated cottage in a peaceful setting. Courteous hosts and lots of privacy. Unique opportunity to wake to the pleasant sound of chickens starting their day. Owners expressed willingness for us to use their outdoor grill but we chose microwave meals and restaurants instead. We bought/used clips to keep curtains closed and would recommend the owner provide these and bodywash in the cute, modern 3/4 bath. A flashlight or solar-lit path through backyard would be ideas for improvement because friendly, well-behaved, pooch dropped a "dog bomb" near our door but we couldn't see it and feared we might step in it (which we didn't). We saw a few spiders but not enough to feel the place wasn't clean. In fact, it seemed very clean and well-stocked with wine, candy, kind bars, yogurt, coffee pods, keurig, etc. I would stay here again as it is definitely more cozy than a hotel room. Perfect for a romantic getaway or reading a novel. Wifi worked great; don't expect a tv.
Thanks Sandra for your feedback. As relatively new hosts, I really appreciate suggestions for how we might improve the Carriage House. We have added bodywash to the shower. We also have changed where we have guests enter so guests walk on the driveway and path instead of across the yard. We added outdoor lighting so there is plenty of light for guests finding their way to and from the carriage house. While we work very hard to keep up with the dog messes, this should eliminate the issue all together. We enjoyed hosting you and hope you will come back again soon! Warm regards,
My husband and I stayed three nights at the carriage house and had a wonderful visit. Very clean, very cute and close to downtown. The host family also left very fun and thoughtful treats for us in the which we appreciated.
Cozy, friendly, wonderful
The Fort Russell neighborhood is so charming and so is this cottage. So many nice touches from the Keurig coffee tea options to, bottled water, seating area, books to read, etc. Really enjoyed my stay and would return.
Cozy, comfy, and conveniently located!
We loved everything about this cute cottage. The bed was very comfortable and the shower excellent, snacks, cofee, and wine welcomed us. Just a half mile or so to downtown. Would highly recommend this rental.
Comfortable and Well-appointed
We drove in after many days on the road, and we found this cute little place to be a welcome haven for an afternoon/evening of rest & recovery before college tours of University of Idaho and Washington State University the next day. We were very glad that we chose not to stay in a hotel. We stopped off at the local natural foods co-op for a few dinner items, and then had everything we needed to share a quiet meal at ‘home’. Everything was very clean, well-kept, nicely decorated, and well-appointed. Towels & linens felt and smelled freshly laundered. There was a microwave, mini-fridge, Krups coffee maker, dishes, utensils, napkins, coffee, granola, bottled water, wine, chocolate mints, soft cotton bedding, comfortable pillows and mattresses (they put a fully made-up twin sized mattress on the floor for my teenaged daughter, which there was plenty of room for) lots of hot water, good water pressure (I have long, thick hair,) soaps, shampoos, lotions, hangars, hairdryer, cotton terry bathrobes, thick cotton towels, etc. The owners live on site, in the front house with their small children, which worried us a bit when they told us, because we really were tired and needed rest. But it turned out not to be a problem at all. The owners were very on top of communication and finding out what our needs were before we arrived. After showing us in, they left the yard and carriage house entirely to us and our privacy, and it was very peaceful & quiet. I always travel with large paper clamps that I use for curtains in most places that I stay, because I like to sleep past sunrise, and I am very light sensitive. I did use those clamps here, but I find that I need them most places. My husband travels for a living, and often has to work from wherever we are. I must admit that the wi-if is probably a bit slower than he would need to actually work a full day from this location. But the wi-fi was plenty adequate for my daughter & I to do what we wanted to, which is mostly website surfing, checking email & social media, and planning the next day with Yelp and Google Maps (maps did load a bit slowly.) The only single thing we wanted that was not there was hot chocolate, which my daughter has become accustomed to finding wherever she sees a Krups coffee maker. Overall, we found this place exceptionally nice, and the owners to be very on top of things. When we are back in the area, we will stay here again.
Thanks for your review Dawn Dee. It was a pleasure meeting you and your daughter. And I love your suggestion about hot chocolate. I just purchased some and added it to the Carriage House. We hope to host you again if you make it back to Moscow.
