A New Log Home: A Unique Recreation Rental Opportunity, Available Year Round in the Stowe area of Vermont.

A cute, cozy dream tucked away in the woods of Vermont. Completely private and yet close to everything. Only minutes outside of Stowe. This Log Home is a great place to share with friends and family in a beautiful secluded setting. Indoors you can feel the warmth, charm, and uniqueness of Vermont.

The two bedrooms are cozy and make you feel right at home. There is also a loft that can sleep two more on a futon. One bathroom has a sunken cedar bathtub that is big enough for two. So enjoy a long soak in the tub and relax! After a beautiful day outdoors you can also warm up snuggling in front of a fire at the woodstove.

The snowmobile trail starts right out the back door and for the cross country skiers, we have the Catamount trail right out the front door which runs down to Stowe and up towards Craftsbury for miles on end. But every season has its charm and we will have a list of beautiful sites ready for you, which sometimes are only known to locals.

We also welcome your pets and the backyard is fully fenced in for your four legged family members.

If you see this one already rented for the time you desire, we can offer you another cabin just as cute!!!

We will receive you with a warm home and heart!

a lovely place to stay

  • 4 of 5

We loved the location of the cabin. It was a perfect jump point for daily trips. The cabin had everything we needed with our host being available at one easy text. We had 2 complaints. The cedar tub needed cleaning which was attended to right away and the the fireplace flue was completely blocked and not usable. This was a major issue as it was both unsafe and not usable as per amenity description. The dog run was absolutely perfect for our dogs and they took to the cabin right away, as if they lived there all their lives. The beds and furniture were quite comfortable and offered beautiful slumber. We had friends that met us there mid stay and they fell in love with the cabin and said they would look toward renting in the future. I would recommend this home away location highly.

Peaceful and relaxing retreat

  • 5 of 5

Claudia's cabin is a warm, wonderful and welcoming retreat in "real" VT. Leave your fancy clothes home, pack up your dog(s) and take in all that VT has to offer! Close enough to Stowe and Morrisville to explore shopping if that is your thing and secluded enough that you can enjoy the peace and quiet of the Green Mountain State! The Cabin is beautifully built and comfortably furnished. Dogs LOVE it and people are pretty happy as well. Claudia is a perfect host - warm, welcoming and open to share her love of VT, animals and the earth. Thank you Claudia for creating this wonderful space and sharing it with us!

Whimsical cabin makes for cozy, magical family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

This cabin is absolutely perfect for when you just want to get away from it all. It is located in the middle of a wooded property, so you are looking at trees out of every window! Claudia's personal touches in the construction of this place are unique and fun - we loved the live birch tree in the house, and the deep cedar bathtub! The sledding hill is just a few steps away and absolutely spectacular!

It was also wonderful that this place is so pet friendly - we didn't need to crate our dog when going out for the day, and Claudia even stopped by to let her out for a potty break. The fenced in backyard is great for letting the dog out in the morning or late at night as well.

Our boys voted this place as hands-down the best vacation spot ever - and we'd have to agree! One little side note - this might not be the most ideal place for families with toddlers - the natural railing in the loft area is wide - spaced and not baby-proof. There is a gate on the bottom of the steps, though.

We hope to be back next year!

Comfort and Then Some

  • 5 of 5

Although we were in Vermont to ski, the skiing, although truly great, became only part of why we enjoyed our 5 nights so much. Claudia's cabin, in particular the Birchtree cabin where we stayed, was a real hit with us. It is rustic and charming all in one. No, it is not the million dollar abode typical of Stowe and area it nevertheless provided exactly what we were looking for...comfort and cleanliness. We recently switched our own home's supplemental heat from wood to propane and have missed the comfort of wood heat ever since. The cabin is remote but not too remote as Claudia and another cabin are nearby. We don't particularly like to be too isolated! Our stay was in late January and as such it is best to sleep in the upstairs bedroom as this gets the most heat. The bed was unbelievably comfortable and both my wife and I have serious back issues. The WIFI works better than at home too! Lots of hot water as there is no hot water tank but rather an inline hot water heating unit. The cabin is rustic so don't expect the Ritz Carleton here! It is peaceful, warm, has plenty of room, good parking, lots of firewood, and is 20 minutes from the Mount Mansfield in Stowe. It could use an end table by the sofas or a coffee table maybe. Somewhere to lay ones glass of wine!! We had a couple of questions and Claudia responds immediately! I'm not sure if we will be back skiing in Stowe but if we are we will most definitely stay here!!!

Idyllic, tranquil, charming cabin!

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Claudia's cabin! Claudia welcomed us with open arms, and made certain that we had a fabulous vacation. She went above and beyond the call of duty by letting our dog out once when we were unable to make it back in time! The cabin is conveniently located near the town of Stowe and the ski resort.

It is one of the most unique homes I have ever seen, incorporating a birch tree in the interior architecture. The property grounds were lovely with some charming elements throughout! We are looking forward to staying at Claudia's cabin in the future! I highly recommend a visit for a peaceful cozy experience that where you will leave with wonderful memories!

A great place to get away! Comfy and cozy. We had all we needed.

  • 4 of 5

Claudia's cabin was charming. It was supplied with all we needed. It was close to downtown Morrisville and Stowe. Most importantly it was pet friendly. Our two labs loved the fenced in yard so they were able to roam and run. We have already shared our experience with family who will be interested for a weekend stay themselves.
