Wonderful family home from home
This is a wonderful place to stay and explore Cape Cod. The house is spacious, very clean and in a great location. We walked to the beach, hired bikes, whale watched, ate at lots of the local eateries, played mini golf, swam in the nearby lakes and chilled out at the house. It is well equipped with everything for families, large garden, sand pit, outdoor shower and very well located. As a British family staying for the first time in Cape Cod, Megan was extremely helpful, gave us some great recommendations and the house was perfect. It is big enough for two families to stay in comfortably. There is a great secret path down to the beach through the woods to a very quiet part of the beach. The sea was warm and shallow, great for children. We would recommend this house to anyone wanting to stay and explore, in August the temperature was warm but never unbearable and our children had a most memorable holiday. Many thanks!
Clean, spacious home in a quiet neighborhood
We really enjoyed staying in this home. There were 6 adults & 4 kids in our group, and there was plenty of room for all of us. The kitchen layout worked well for us. The table was big enough for all of us to sit & eat, and there's an additional high table with 4 stools, perfect for breakfast, snacking, and playing card games in the evening. The kitchen was also well stocked with appliances, cooking utensils, and condiments. We did a lot of cooking while we were there.
The bedrooms do not feel as cramped as I thought they would be. The house & bedrooms are actually nicer than the pictures make it look. The house is very clean, and everything is in order. We borrowed the linens, and they were well organized. We stayed there during the hottest week of the summer, so we did run the A/C . The upstairs A/C had a little trouble keeping up, but it was also in the 90s and humid!
We really enjoyed the backyard and the outdoor shower. There is plenty of room in the back , so the kids could run around & play. The deck in the back is very spacious, and we enjoyed spending time out there a great deal. We also used the outdoor grill.
The walk to the beach is about 10 minutes. It's a little far when dragging chairs, etc, but having a stroller for the kids really helped. The beach is great. Lots of tidal pools for young kids.
The location was great for us. We walked to the nearby restaurant every evening for ice cream. The bike trail is also very close. The grocery store(s) is a quick drive, and we found a good bakery, toy store, and plenty of good restaurants, all within a short drive.
Amenities were good. Wireless internet worked well. There are some games upstairs available.
We are planning another stay in August, and very much looking forward to it!
The owner, Meg, is very nice and responds quickly to all communication.
We're glad you enjoyed your stay, and look forward to having you back again this year!
Nice family vacations there
We rented this house for a summer vacation. We were 3 families (6 adults, 4 children) from Canada and the house was big enough to accommodate such a big group of people. The beach is a 10 minutes walk (was not too far for he kids). The beach is nice! The house is also very close to the Nickerson State Park and the Cape Code Rail Trail (bike trail) which is very nice.
The owner is well organized and the house was clean. Quiet neighborhood.
I recommend it.
We're glad you enjoyed your stay!
Lovely Linnell Landing
We've just returned from a wonderful two weeks in this property. It's location was perfect for us: a five-minute walk from the glorious Linnell Landing beach and a five-minute drive from all the amenities of Brewster (great shops and restaurants). And close to a great bike trail that stretches up to Wellfleet and down to Chatham.
The house itself was just what we needed too: our family of four (two teenagers) was very comfortably accommodated - indeed, we could easily have fit another family in as well. Plenty of space and all the facilities we wanted, and a very welcoming, relaxed atmosphere - perfect after a hard day at the beach. Also Meg, the owner, was very helpful and quick to respond to any minor glitches.
We went whale watching and seal watching, up to Marconi beach and Provincetown, all of which was very enjoyable. But best of all is the beach at the end of the road - acres of soft, level and largely empty sands and warm, shallow water at low tide, sometimes as flat as a millpond and sometimes with a gentle ripple - and very nice to swim in at high tide.
We're missing it already.
Glad you enjoyed your stay!
Awesome, affordable space in great town
I had a GREAT experience renting this home for a weekend in Brewster, and would strongly recommend it to anyone wanting to visit the Cape.
The owner Meg was great to deal with: she communicated promptly with me, offered a very affordable price to accommodate my weekend stay, and returned my security deposit extremely quickly.
The external picture of the house may not do justice to how spacious the inside is! With four legit bedrooms and several additional sleeping options, this house can comfortably fit a dozen people (i.e., multiple families) with living, dining, and deck room to spare.
The town of Brewster is really nice - we also had a great time playing golf in Dennis the next town over - especially the seafood stands and restaurants in very close proximity to the house.
Again: 110% recommend!
North of 6A near the beautiful Linnell Landing Beach, Nickerson State Park, the Cape Cod bike path and Ocean's Edge Resort. Other Activities: For kids: Laurel Day Camp, Brewster Day Camp, Cape Cod Sea Camp Golf: Dennis has 2 courses. Also Captain's Golf Course and Ocean's Edge.
