No.3 Powlett Road is a two bedroom, Edwardian town house including a large, enclosed rear garden and free on-road parking. The property is set within the leafy, tree lined streets of Bathwick and is located within a quiet, residential area.

The property includes a spacious living room, kitchen and dining area, upstairs family bathroom, downstairs toilet and utility space. The property has gas central heating throughout and has free WiFi Broadband.

This property is a short, flat walk from the historic city centre. Walking to the city centre from Powlett Road will take you along Great Pulteney Street and through Laura Place - two of the finest Georgian Streets within the city. This will truly announce your arrival to the City of Bath, the UNESCO World Heritage Site!

No.3 Powlett Road was built in 1893. It has been lovingly refurbished whilst retaining many of its original features.

The property has one master bedroom, furnished with a king-sized double bed, and a further second bedroom furnished with a standard double bed.

Bed linen is provided and includes goose feather and duck down duvets together with feather and hypo-allergenic fibre pillows. Both bedrooms have been finished to a high standard with beautiful fabrics and interior decor.

The property includes a large upstairs family bathroom and one downstairs toilet. The upper bathroom is beautifully worked to include a bath, shower, basin, toilet, towel rail heater and storage for personal items.

No.3 Powlett Road has a spacious, well decorated living room. The predominantly black and white interior of the living room hosts 2 x two seat sofas, period fireplace, television and DVD player. A DVD film library is included, including titles for children, together with a range of novels and books.

The kitchen is fully equipped. It includes newly installed kitchen units and work tops, a gas hob and oven, dishwasher, fridge / freezer, kettle and toaster. The kitchen area accommodates a dining table and four chairs and provides access to a utility space including washing machine.

Access to the rear garden is through the kitchen and down four steps. The garden is south facing and provides a large enclosed area that has been lovingly maintained over the years. A patio area adjoins the house and is ideal for sitting out. The garden includes a lawn and has been planted with grape vines, ferns, soft fruit, edged by box and privet hedging.

The garden also includes a large shed that can be used for the storage of outdoor items such as bikes and tents.

Complimentary teas, ground coffee and milk will be provided upon your arrival. Should you wish for any additional food and drink items these can be arranged for your arrival (and charged accordingly). We can also help with restaurant recommendations and suggestions for for activities and entertainment.

A parking permit is provided within the costs of the rental. The permit allows you to park one vehicle on Powlett Road (or the surrounding streets).

The city centre is no more than a 10 minute walk away. The walk into town takes you along some of the most prestigious streets in the country such as Great Pulteney Street and Laura Place. These fine examples of Georgian architecture have appeared in many films over the years.

The property has a free parking space - a rare commodity in a city well known for the efficiency of its parking officials!

No.3 Powlett Road also has a wonderful rear garden that comes into its own during the spring through to October. The rear patio area has been planted with grape vines, pear espaliers, figs and dwarf box hedging. This gives it a real continental feel in the natural sun trap of the patio enclosure.

The remainder of the garden is used as a kitchen garden, being planted with the usual vegetables associated with an English garden. It is flanked by an impressive privet hedge that typifies the general suburban feel.

Excellent place to stay in Bath

This is a really, really nice house within easy walking distance to the city centre, the river Avon, and the canal. The house and its garden were exactly as described in the listing and photos, and impeccably clean and well maintained. The arrival information from the owner and his recommendations on activities and attractions in Bath were very helpful, as one might expect from a long-time resident. We hope to return soon again.

Lovely flat! Great location

We had a wonderful stay in Bath. Our house was conveniently located to the center of town. The kitchen was fully equipped with coffee, tea and milk upon our arrival. It is soabious and clean and wouldn't hesitate to return.

Fantastic weekend in Bath

Four of us stayed here to celebrate a birthday weekend in Bath. The location was very good, a 15 minutes leisurely walk past the lovely Holburne Musem and Garden cafe over the picturesque Pulteney Bridge to historic sites like Bath Abbey, Roman baths. The House was warm, comfortable and fairly spacious with a well stocked kitchen and eating area where we enjoyed breakfast overlooking a well kempt garden; which would be really lovely in summer. The owner had left essentials - tea herbal tea, coffee, milk and sugar which we really appreciated. He took time out to show us around the house and pointed out a few local lunch venues. We would definately stay here again.

Fantastic Stay in Central Bath Location

Lovely property only a 10 minute walk to the main centre of Bath with all the lovely tourist spots.

This little house is a gem of a find, and its situated on a quiet residential street. The house is very cosy and warm with a lovely sized living area and kitchen. The kitchen was fully functional, not that we used it very often. The free teas and coffees were very welcomed when we arrived. The bathroom is very spacious and the shower gets hot very quickly, although the pressure is quite low but it was fine for 4 adults.

The bedrooms were both very big and spacious with very comfy double beds (one king in the front bedroom). There were plenty of clothes hangers available to hang clothing and lots of drawer space to store items. It felt like a home from home which is what we wanted. The welcome book provided us with very useful information and there are some great recommendations for restaurants and pubs. There is ample parking on the road and you are given your own parking permit which is really handy as we didn’t need to move the car until we departed at the end of our stay. Mark the owner is really helpful and answered any questions we had straight way.

There is a small Tesco around a 10 minute walk away which was really handy for any essentials. One night we ate at a pub called the Pulteney Arms which is about 7 minutes walk away and this was very friendly with a great choice of food and drink. The next night we went to a pub called the Star which is quiet and really friendly and then walked round the corner from this to another pub called the Bell which is really lively with great music. Both of these pubs were about 10 minutes walk away from the house. Everything in the area is very close and we had a fantastic stay! We would love to come back in the Summer to explore more of Bath.

Lovely

This property was just as advertised, and the owner could not have been more hospitable or helpful. There are several pubs nearby, and city centre is an easy walk, so no car is needed while there. I would definitely stay again!
