Why Mark Keyford chose Bath

No.3 Powlett Road has been owned and operated by the family since 1947. The property incorporates the best of modern conveniences whilst maintaining traditional Edwardian style.

What makes this house unique

No.3 Powlett Road is a beautiful Edwardian town house set within the leafy, tree lined streets of Bathwick. The general area is quiet and is popular with local families.

The city centre is no more than a 10 minute walk away. The walk into town takes you along some of the most prestigious streets in the country such as Great Pulteney Street and Laura Place. These fine examples of Georgian architecture have appeared in many films over the years.

The property has a free parking space - a rare commodity in a city well known for the efficiency of its parking officials!

No.3 Powlett Road also has a wonderful rear garden that comes into its own during the spring through to October. The rear patio area has been planted with grape vines, pear espaliers, figs and dwarf box hedging. This gives it a real continental feel in the natural sun trap of the patio enclosure.

The remainder of the garden is used as a kitchen garden, being planted with the usual vegetables associated with an English garden. It is flanked by an impressive privet hedge that typifies the general suburban feel.

Lovely well facilitated property

  • 5 of 5

Thank you to Mark as a very obliging and gracious host. Early bag drop off was a real help with our travel arrangements. Everything you could need at property. Provisions of milk, tea, coffee and hot chocolate much appreciated. Comfortable home from home. 2nd stay so that really tells you what need to know. Must come again in Summer and enjoy the quiet space and privacy of the lovely garden too. Would recommend without hesitation.

Immaculate Apartment

  • 5 of 5

Spent a weekend at Mark's place, No. 3 Powlett Road. Prior to arrival, he had provided very clear and specific instructions, so there was no problem with check-in.

The apartment was clean and cosy. The selection of teas and coffees was very generous. Best of all, all appliances and equipment worked. It is obvious the owners put a lot of effort into maintaining the place and keeping it in tiptop condition, unlike many self-catering places which look rundown after some time.

The apartment is situated in a quiet residential neighbourhood but less than 15 minutes' walk to the centre of Bath. Highly recommended!

Excellent place to stay in Bath

  • 5 of 5

This is a really, really nice house within easy walking distance to the city centre, the river Avon, and the canal. The house and its garden were exactly as described in the listing and photos, and impeccably clean and well maintained. The arrival information from the owner and his recommendations on activities and attractions in Bath were very helpful, as one might expect from a long-time resident. We hope to return soon again.
