Our second stay
We returned to the apartment two years since our first stay.
We love it!
David, Julia and Sebastian
Large pleasant space. A great combination of the old and new: old building. New bath, linens, kitchen, WiFi. Close to everything. Excellent communication
Central and spacious
This is a beautiful, very roomy apartment in the center of the village with a peek of the old Harbour. The back entry and ancient stairs to the third floor are not condusive to the large suitcases, so bring a small one for your visit. The kitchen is fine for your cooking needs.
You are surrounded by restaurants and shops and charming streets.
Super, spacious and comfortable apartment in the heart of Honfleur.
David, Julia and our 10 year old son Sebastian stayed for 9 nights.
The apartment is lovely and we particularly liked the living room with the windows overlooking a very interesting square and high street in the centre of beautiful Honfleur.
The apartment is well equipped and very clean and is in a great location. We were very well looked after by Caroline who met us and showed us around the apartment.
We will definitely return!
Lovely gite, great location
Car parking is an issue, we parked in the free car park during the day, the local car park in the evening (500m away) otherwisw a 10 euro charge.
The stairs were a challenge, particularly with baggage and shopping.
The top bedroom required you to be careful with your head.
Wifi would have been good.
That said... the gite is exactly as described. The living room is lovely, comfortable and has a great view where you can watch Honfleur pass under your window.
The kitchen is small but has everything you need and if you don't want to cook then you are surrounded by good restaurants, particularly if you like seafood. I particularly like the set menu in the local bar, Cafe du Port, seafood and mussels (of course).
When we arrived, everything was clean and looked new.
This is a great place from which to explore the area, however, that said, Honfleur is a great place for a weeks holiday.
I would recommend this gite if you want a good holiday in lovely town.
Pretty little port has been repeatedly depicted by artists, including Gustave Courbet, Eugène Boudin, Claude Monet and Johan Barthold Jongkind, forming the School of Honfleur which contributed to the appearance of the Impressionist movement. Alphonse Allais and Erik Satie were born ..
